If you are wondering about how I got all the extra spice at the start of Space Stage, that is a NG+ element of the run. I used another Space saved game to place spice there ahead of this run. That is what the "+" is for. I start at the beginning of the game, yet there are some extra advantages set up before hand. This video hopefully marks a new era of Spore speedrunning for myself, I have not done complete full game runs in over two years. This is my first full game run after all this time, I was thinking of holding off uploading until I got a run I thought was my absolute best, but I think showing progress is cool as well. There is still much time to be saved, I died in Creature Stage multiple times, I wasted so much time trying to ally the first Tribe, and I went to the wrong Empire in Space Stage!
However, my internet takes forever to upload these long videos so I probably cannot do hour long videos more than once a week. If anyone actually reads these descriptions, would seeing more runs (hopefully weekly) be fun? Also, would any form of commentary make the video better, either live commentary or post commentary? I know just the raw game play can be a bit boring and can even be a bit confusing due to some minor tricks throughout the speed run.
Coming back I made sure to really increase the visual quality of the video. I raised the recording bit rate (from 5,000 to 40,000 kbps) and increased the in game graphical settings as well. I really hope this comes across after UA-cam does their compression to the video, because the local recording I have looks really good! Let me know if the video quality actually looks better. I bought a bunch of SSDs for that high bit rate video to be recorded properly and play Spore without getting stutters. This has been a computer upgrade chronicle to get this kind of footage!
However, I did have to lower the LiveSplit timer to only show the tenths in this video, I am now demanding much more out of my computer while recording and LiveSplit was taking too much processing power while using the hundredths and using the Load Remover script as well. (I use an i5-6400 and LiveSplit would take around 11-12% by itself while including the hundredths and running the script!). LiveSplit is using the automatic Load Remover (which I made years ago) in this run, this is how the timer stops during all loads throughout the game. Loads removed include, between level loads, switching vehicles in Civilization Stage, and entering and exiting planets in Space Stage.

My next goal is to get this full game on Hard under an hour, then I may go back to Easy difficulty! Cell Easy will be a difficult record to beat but I'll definitely give it a good try in the future!

I believe under 1 hour is possible! With current strats and a bit of good luck, my goal is around 57 minutes. It might take a bit more practice though haha.

what does NG+ mean?
NG+ means "New Game Plus" it's a common speed running term that means it allows help from previous play throughs. That's how I had all the extra spice on the moon. I placed it there before the speed run. In a NG "New Game" run I would not allowed to use extra stuff like this.
What are the tips for civ stage on hard more for each civ type?
Your first city must be near water.
Get as much spices as you can, but don't steal them if you are playing merchant. Instead, get the city that own them, then rush for them.
Vehicules should focus on speed, a big amount of power and low health.
Destroy all the tribal camps you find.
Get a city on all continent as fast as you can.
Get a war or religious city as fast as you can, so you don't have to wait to buy a city.
Choose buildings and vehicules from maxis.
how do you skip the cut-scenes?
Escape on the key board skips cut scenes.

Why spikes behind you and not more of the tail things (I barely know anything about this game let alone speedruns so forgive my ignorance)
Spikes help keep predators from being able to kill you from behind
why play with the mouse ? its far better with the keyboard
