Yo doke, you did it whole well but I’d recommend to do much more detailed reflections, you have to combine multiple shades and layering to get the right effect, it also should be on highlights aswell, try to use super skinny caps and more shades next time, and yellow was bit too much as for me. Peace
Indeed. The effect is certainly there, but it's lacking some detail to make it pop. More shades, more colour. I think some semi transparent black and brown might have helped
It looks sick, but I agree with both of you guys, I also think if the color of the reflection was the similar to the surroundings of the spot it would look much better, so maybe some blue from the sky or whatever is behind Either way, absolutely sick piece bro!
Next “I TRY” piece suggestion: The Last Airbender. 4 letters in Doke and 4 tribes of the show- Earth, Fire, Air and Water. Do it! Just Do it! (In my Ben Stiller/Starsky & Hutch voice)
The Molotow rollerball filled with Liquid Chrome would have been the best way to create the sketch. It gives the perfect "liquid" effect on smooth surfaces.
Instead of using the reflections from your home in the chrome use reflections from the sidewalk and road, it will makes to piece make more sense. Awesome work🔥🔥
Really well done - I remember playing around with a chrome-look effect as highlights when painting pinstripes on my dad's truck, back in the 90's. It's really hard. I think the biggest thing to do, and you did, is making sure you've got good contrast between the colours for "above" and "below" the reflected horizon.
this worked out well. if you plan to do another one of these then might i suggest Galum? its has a super low melting point and it isnt dangerous. the king of random experimented with it alot and its widely available last i checked. Keep up the good work Doke you definitely got the effect you needed.
hi m8 everything looks realy cool but that loop on E letter was a little bit uncompleted i think but you have don an amazing job so keep going!!! also im waiting for wooden effect :D
Just found the channel while browsing UA-cam and I am really digging it, here in the states Walmart sells chrome spray paint that is pretty badass you should try a video with that.
looks great! I'd love to see one with a grey reflection at the bottom, and a blue reflection at the top to make it look like it is in its environment! Such a cool peace though, nice one!
You could get some sort of shiny lacquer or glossy finish clear spray and add highlights so it shimmers in the sun? But I liked how you tried to make it look like it was reflective. Didn't look chrome when close but further away I totally see what you were trying to do and it works. I live chrome you see..
I appreciated that you tried it. It is quiet a good job. I think, this is one of the hardest things to paint so sharp, so detail full, what this metal effect needs. I'm sure about I'm be afraid about to test my luck on the road, cuz I'm not so well skilled for it. But that was really nice
Love it I love this, never messed with paint only markers paints but dying to get y’all’s leve! Only thing being colorblind gets me frustrated... since I forget what cooor is what on paper... but I’m still trying!
Try dusting on the whites and some of the greys instead of hard line reflection but I've also noticed people use blues quiet frequently when doing chrome
this is so cool, you killed it. I think maybe part of the trick is the sky. having some of a light blue reflected in the top half of the letters might really drive home that mirror effect
Distance from it definitely makes the effect come out. Was skeptical at first up close, but as soon as you brought the camera away from it, to more of an across street view, it looks amazing!
This video and your recent format for obtaining a proper reference reminds me of videos I've seen of people popping open glow sticks and using their glowy juice on different stuff. This could be a cool implementation for a reference in a future video. Just a thought
hey doke could you list the colours you used i fancy trying this one, thought it came out good maybe needs too be a perfectly flat wall apart from that good one!
Great job! And if you reduce the colors (i mean a lesser color palette) in photoshop, for example do a 16 color version (or actually as much colors you are ready to use), you'll see the shading more "through" as it reduces the complexity quite a bit, so it gives a better understanding of its "layers" and more of a reference of what color to use in certain areas 🙂
I would love to see a video where you draw the whole alphabet in a certain style, you think is practical for newbies. Explain it a little bit and show some styles maybe.
Head on i can see your doubts but from the street angle approaching it looks exactly how you wanted it too. Great job! Love this channel and the work you create 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😃😃😃
Really nice result love the effect, great job. You should try painting a fog or somke effect next time, i'm sure that's gonna be a challenge and it's gonna look great with your style
I love this channel soooo much! 🥰🥰 you always make me laugh Edit: can you do another video with smoe nova Edit #2: you nailed the effect, it looks exactly like the sketch! Perfection as usual
Yahman!! Doke!! Hhow r u doin bro?? I'm your man from Amsterdam!! Did you allready try a piece where each letter is an character?? Keep on goin bro!! Bless up!! Respect!!

Ooh that's a good idea!!
LOOOOOOVE this idea!!
Hell yea. Keep thiz post up top! DOKE. DO IT UP!

Waiting for wooden effect but you should also try an effect where it looks like it’s been shot that would be sick!!!
DJent L0rd yeesss
Wood would be a pretty cool one 👍
I can do that all I need is some spray paint and an AR-15
pretty good, a half of an hour away of being perfect. some highlights and shadows missing, but dope video all in all. Ei enschoijed itt
Hallo smoe!
Haha smoe is auch da! pce
I’d like to see you do it perfectly then
@@wtfmxddox bro chill, it's just feedback, the bigger ones learn to listen to critiques and that's how they get better at what they do.

Agreed...and i think the transitions between the colors should be smoother, so the "liquid metal" looks more round...you know what i mean?

I wasn't sure what it was going to turn out like... but at the end when you showed it from a distance it looked great!🔥
Try to paint a piece with only tags
You know that was the original way in the 70s right?
@@kryptichands968 he means a fill out of just tags
I’m truly blown away, it came out so incredibly!!

sheet metal effect would look cool, with rivets and screws holding it all together
As a certified sheet metal worker..i concur..
This was awesome doke👍😎
Your pieces always end up looking sick🔥🔥

Maybe you could try to paint mirror. Like you can see in the letters whats behind you,or something like that.
