People look down on amazing artists like you for “vandalism” but this is art and I’m glad people liked it! Edit: Oh my god thanks everyone for liking and commenting I didn’t know that it was legal. In hindsight I should’ve because who should post them doing something illegal
I used to teach people how to quickly create a wood grain, knots, etc. that look realistic from a distance for theatre, this really reminded me of that!
"Graffiti " is just the people who live there enriching their surroundings with their abilities. Artists like yourself are only a benefit to the dull surroundings we find ourselves in. Keep it up
I have to say something about the lines. The wood lines in the painting are so short (like, they're so "rude") and you have to do smoother lines. If you think why would you have to doi, I'm gonna explain it: a tree grows in the direction of sun, at around 10cm/year speed. The tree wants as much sun light as possible, so it soooowly follow the sun. It can't suddenly chenge the movement direction 'cause it's too slow for it, so it does a really really smooth curve to the new sun direction. I really love drawing, I draw with pencils, and I studied the wood texture for many years. And here's another tip: do that wood circles with 2 lines, just like this: | | / / /\ | | \/ / / | | Thanks for reading c:! (pd. sorry for my bad English, I'm from Spain)
theres graffiti art and street art like what doke does, and theres also graffiti bombing which is just pure vandalism, but bombing is paradoxical because you may percieve vandalism as art as well. :)
I asked for this video almost below every „I try painting....“. Thank you, that you are listen to your community and done this piece. It came out really nice. I love it!
I'm 28 and started doing Graff when I was 14 in Ridgewood Queens, then The 7 train Line and Greenpoint Brooklyn before going on a long hiatus. I recently have restarted and been doing canvas graffiti paintings, based on my passion of the past 9 years, Mysticism, Magick and the Holy Qabalah. Just wanted to share that with you and say thanks for posting videos. Even though I have been doing this for half my life now, I have learned a lot from your channel and you have definitely inspired me! I appreciate what you are doing out in Europe. I have Polish and Lithuanian roots and it's cool to see some of your part of the world since I've never been! Much love, stay up, and thanks for making public your arte!!!!! -Lexi Eve aka "Eve161"
Wow, that turned out amazing. It always amazes me how the detail brings something to life - just the boards painted on there looked quite good, then you added the knots in the wood and the shadows and it just came to life. I'd love to be able to see the world through an artist's eyes.
First 50, been here a long time dude, and I will say you've improved so much over the years and I really envy the grind you're on, I'm an upcoming artist myself but I haven't ever seen someone go from strictly wall related artworks to the level of depth work you do, keep it up man, I'm rooting for you
Oh, that was perfect Doke! As you grow as an artist also your subscribers are growing. Congrats on 800K subs. Road to 1 Million now, can't wait! Also, I did in one of my videos 7 months ago realistic wood and you used the same technique. Love it. Keep it up Doke 🐿❤
Honestly people really started to annoy me with those "paint the wood effect" comments because we all saw what you are capable of. From the regular pieces, to the Bob Ross painting on the wall so I never thought that you would paint the regular wood. I felt like you needed bigger challange. But after this video I am really confident that you can always take the art to another level. Loved the video, good job my friend.
What about skin tear, I say this because my dad has a tattoo that's ripped skin with a brick wall under it, the brick wall is broken, with an eye within the broken space, id love to see a painting like this, keep up the good work doke! You've done nothing but impresse me as you get better and better!
The idea that "someone may come over and destroy these wonderful art pieces" always come across my mind...now with that in mind. It'd be cool to revisit your art pieces and see in what condition they are in since you've made them.
This made me tear up at the end for some reason. I found you about 2 days ago and am so happy. You're very inspirational and your work is just...SO SUPERB. Love from South Central L.A., Doke 💖
Hi Doke! First of all, greetings from Spain! Well, as a model painter, I've thrown quiet a lot of paint, and spent quiet a lot of time on achieving realistic wooden effects for my miniatures. All I can say, and I hope it helps you in a future if you wanna give painting wooden textures a second try, is using Grey as a base, since planks are never fully brown-ish unless they've been varnished or treated. Also, greenish tones add much realism. See ya!
Looks beautiful! You did a fantastic job! I never thought I’d see something like that with spray paint. You’re seriously a master/genius of your craft. Keep up the phenomenal work!

Indeed it is art and beautiful art for sure but that doesn’t mean it still isn’t vandalizing on buildings someone else paid for
He doesn’t vandalizing. There is areas where people can paint legally that’s why you see all the graffiti next to it. It’s legal

Yeah, he did too many of the spiraling parts and that isn't natural, so it doesn't look as good as it can be.
I don’t understand people who say graffiti isn’t art. This man is an artist, and what he does is DEFINITELY art.
theres two sides, yes doke is an artists but some of us say fuck what others think im gonna get my name up idgaf if its vandalism
The art establishment didn’t recognize impressionists as art at first either. Didn’t make it so
theres graffiti art and street art like what doke does, and theres also graffiti bombing which is just pure vandalism, but bombing is paradoxical because you may percieve vandalism as art as well. :)

Just make a rectangle with two rectangles coming out diagonally at the top and then a cloud around it, that will be a decent tree
