Interesting. Goldeneye 007 at number 2? I always thought it was kind of an underrated game on the Wii, and that it never stepped out of the shell of its more famous N64 precursor ...but I didn't think anyone would put it at #2. I also wouldn't say it's a wrong choice either. Interesting!
Good pics for the Wii. . Wii had so many crappy games glad to see you have good taste in games Gary . There was a few more Wii games that missed your list though . Dead space : extraction , dead rising : chop till you drop , resident evil : the dark side chronicles , Kirby's : return to Dreamland , drawn to life , Sam and max , spy games , Lego Indiana Jones 1&2 , Lego Batman, spyborgs, monster 4 by 4 : stunt racer , final fantasy: the crystal bears, medal of honor: heroes 2 , hot wheels these could make a part 2 to your Wii list .
Once you get used to tanky God Hand controls and increase the resolution to see what's going on the screen it's an awesome game. Commentators are often not heard because of the music; I lowered it and they are hilarious. Kept breaking the 4th wall.
Another great video, with great games of a great console that sadly I don't own, and I can't emulate either do to the fact that I do not have money or some powerful enough technology, but good video as always, Gary ma man👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks for the patreon Steamkey, Gary. It's WEST OF DEAD, a stylish, twin-stick overhead cover-shooter set in Purgatory, Wyoming 1888. The graphics are really quite special, and I'll have to see how I like the procedurally-generated levels. Cheers!
Not a bad list of Wii games, in the end! Plenty of really fun games to play on this console, despite all the trash-talking Wii gets from some people. We could always argue about rankings, but outside of weird niche things the only games which are egregiously missing from this Top 100 list, in my opinion, are: - one of the Skylanders games (we like Swap Force best) - people may not like to "toys to life" games, but the best Skylanders games did it right, were really fun, and were best on Wii/WiiU - one of the Lost Winds games (WiiWare) -- these are two of the earliest "digital indie platformers" and are both excellent
Yeah I agree, there are always bad people, saying bad things about many subjects, not just about games (talking from personal experience), but sometimes it is better to not listen on others and do your research by your own and realize that they are wrong and just over exaggerating
I’ve been trying to find this game for over decade now. Was game I played in early 2000’s, I’ve tried to look at all the consoles, ps, ps2, ps3, Xbox, Xbox 360, wii, GameCube, pc, Dreamcast, game boy, etc, and haven’t been able to find it. Feel like maybe ps or Xbox possibly wii but I played so many consoles as kid so idk. All I remember is a mission where you are a creature/caricature and you jump down from a tree by jumping on green pads or mushrooms that are bouncy, and you collect stuff, and can go down these water slides, the setting is in a rainforest /jungle it reminds me of like crash or Ty somewhat, its 3d and you can move how fast or slow you want I believe and stay still and can move camera around somewhat. It was a very simple mechanics and old graphics, was quite colorful, and I think more for kids. I feel like I played it on console because I remember playing it on tv. Putting it out there in hopes someone knows.. I tried to put it one of of those forums many years ago with no luck.
@@cameroenskiable no the character you play as was more of a caricature of an animal I remember. It really reminds me of the original Ty as it has similarities to the game but has some differences from what I’ve seen in gameplay and recall from memory.
I threw your description into ChatGPT and Tonic Trouble came up as an option for the N64. After watching gameplay, it looks like it could fit what you're looking for. Came out in 1999 so it looks like it fits the timeline.
6:20 bro the transition from Madworld to Animal Crossing 😭😭😭
6:19 what a transition
5. Prince of Persia Forgotten Sands
4. Resident Evil 4
3. Tomb Raider Anniversary

Thanks, but this list was actually based on a list of user votes. See the full list here: gamefaqs.gamespot.com/boards/930752-nintendo-wii/76739413
Mad world is HEAVILY underrated. Probably my personal favourite.

Those top 3 are not only the best Wii games but also 3 of the best games of all time.
finnaly goldeneye gets some respect!!!!!!!
How are these games looking so crisp? I can never get that kind of UHD on my Wii.
Emulation, rendering at a higher internal resolution. (A nice touch of anti-aliasing for extra crispness.)
