    I’m an old retired guy with a grown daughter. I think we should all show great appreciation for your having called your dad for advice. I know beyond doubt that it made his day, and a great part of me suspects that you did it,at least in part, knowing that it would make his day.
    I also want to say,and NOT in a creepy way, that you are just an absolutely delightful presence on UA-cam. So adorably sweet, cute, positive, and admirably capable. Be sure to tell ALL your friends just how lucky they are to have you in their lives,and tell ‘em Rusty said so! 😄👴🏻

      Well said Shane. Years ago ,as part of my job at a major university, I became aware that roof damage from FALLING BULLETS was relatively common. So much so that according to the campus roof crew EVERY BUILDING ON CAMPUS had gotten roof damage from these falling bullets, shot into the air in celebration. I realized that those annoying momentary delays could serve the purpose of interrupting the timing that might have a bullet fall onto a walking persons head, with a less than ideal outcome. I then resolved to accept those delays as a gift and not be annoyed by them.

    Emma on your bathroom, why not put shower pan on that one side, use a wrap around shower curtain to prevent water getting on walls. And get a different shower head that follows wall up then ceiling so you are standing under it. Both would contain the water. Then put vinyl cover on windows to block view in and give privacy. Then put slider door or doors in front. Just a thought. You can get shower pans to fit all the bathroom floor if you prefer

    FYI, with modern turbo Diesel's it's a good idea to let them idle for a couple minutes after parking. The Turbo can get up to 1000⁰ or more and shutting them off cuts off the engine oil cooling them so the heat can bake the bearings shortening the bearing life, then ultimately the turbo. Which isn't cheap.

    You're such a caracter, like a cartoon. 😄 Problem solving, gettting ready, figuring out the solutions.. You got pretty good at it.. Well, some work is still required to fix your bus "home" although I'm absolutely sure you will nail it. What about trying some different latch mechanism for the door? Maybe some hybrid or some part of a car's door latch? Home latches are not intended for vibration, which you could probably overcome anyway, but I think it's a problem of the spacing. It has to engage enough in depth so it holds the door closed. Or you can add an additional "locking" device from the inside, so when you're driving you're able to lock it and prevent opening, which will give you the ability to open it in an emergency. The strap is a very makeshift solution, but it's the easiest. Cheers, Emma, you're composed enough, a free thinker.
    Damn, also I get irritated when I get something and has imperial or english measurements.. With those I never know how big it is.. 😕
    Happy New Year, a lot of fortune, successes, health and peace I wish to you. Cheers.🤗

    A dead bolt should fix your door issues. It will stick further into the door frame, and prevent it from opening up while driving. If you are worried about emergency crews getting in, you can install it backwards. That will allow them to open it from the outside. Leave the key in it, so you can lock and unlock whenever you need to. The doorknob will be your security lock, The deadbolt just keeps it closed while driving.

    Emma,
    I noticed you getting fuel on this video. I’m not sure if anybody has ever told you, but as the temperature drops, you need to put a fuel additive in to keep the fuel from congealing, like Jell-O in your fuel tank. You can purchase these fuel treatments at any truckstop or a NAPA type store. Don’t want you getting stranded in the middle of nowhere and not being able to use your diesel heater. I saw your red hands so I know it’s cold up there. Get some pretty mittens! Be safe and happy new year.

    • @mrmotofy
      @mrmotofy 2 роки тому

      It's usually the filters that plug rarely the actual tank. So heating the filters is one of the easiest ways to get it running again. I strongly suggest a fuel pressure gauge to be able to see what it's at to know if the fuel is getting to the motor.
      The fuel gelling in the filters is why the common fix is new filters...but actually heating them will work. Removing and putting some Diesel 911 up to about 50% or similar Degel in will work too then ideally top it off with good Diesel

    Do you plan on closing in the bathroom, or just keep it open-ish and just add curtains? If you want to keep it open, while having the option for some intimacy, you could just have a door between your kitchen/living area and your closet/bathroom area. You could just have a curtain around the shower pan, but otherwise leave it open. It comes down to whether you prefer to build walls or build a door. 😜
    I'm still in love with your skylight, every time it's on the shot. I don't know how you've liked it so far (too hot in the summer, right?), but it's still one of the coolest features of your bus. You just need a mechanism to hold it open if you want to let air in or out. Some trimming. And perhaps a piece of reflectix with magnets to keep it in place.
    Anyways, loved the video. You look gorgeous (new hair cut?). Happy holidays.
