  • Account of Sim Webb, Casey Jones' fireman, circa April 30, 1900.
"As we came out of the curve, there right ahead of us, were the red rear markers....... of a train. Showing red meant that it was on the mainline. At once I yelled to Casey, 'Oh, my lord! There's something on the mainline!' He jumped to his feet, looked diagonally across the top of the boiler, at the same time, setting the air brakes, and the emergency stop."

This is the best recreation I've seen. Accurate audio, correct trains, and the correct type of crash. Amazing work. All it really needed was Simm Webb pointing out that there's something on the mainline for it to be perfect.

I did type his account of the crash in the description, but you do have a point. Thanks for the feedback!

Darn, that crash was massive, Casey Jones will be missed along with the original famous engine 382.

R.I.P 382, at least we have Clinchfield 99 representing it well.

      And 382 can be rebuilt

@@Joethec12 if you mean a replica it would require the people willing to do it, and if you mean clinchfield 99 nah that engine from what i heard is in deplorable condition both mechanically and somewhat cosmetically
