This version of the mod is intended to be balanced around the Warcraft vs Starcraft interactions, so I apologize if War3 vs War3 are a bit weird as that's not our main focus. The other versions are the main mod and "Brutalist Edition" which also include modified Brood War factions from SC: Evo Complete, but is currently only available on US. However, they will be coming to EU/Asia some day soon! By the way, Azeroth-Koprulu Hyperwar right now is still in very early alpha, so a lot of things may be buggy, imbalanced, don't look right, or just don't work at all.

For those of us unsure about the differences: - Versus is strictly SC2 vs War3 - Vanilla (just Azeroth-Koprulu Hyperwar) is SC: Evo + Hydralisk's mod + WarCraft 3, which means the mod contains new units to balance out the factions, as well as various features. I recently implemented the ToD of Rosebud's Versus version into vanilla Hyperwar, except without the dial in the corner (due to issues I was having with the triggers). Me and Rosebud are collaborating on making a 3v3 map for the Arcade that will be a definitive means of playing the modification/finding games that feature all aspects of the mod (Creeps, Neutral Buildings, and Naval Combat) that cannot be properly accessed on most SC2 maps! Check out R0SE - Shores of War, in the Melee maps section, and put Hyperwar on top, for the ability to use the Naval Units in the mod, that would be missing from the overall experience! EDIT: The Brutalist Version needs some updates before I will be publishing it to EU, stay tuned!
@@russellobrien6441 Which protoss faction may I ask? Vanilla has both BW and SC2. I also recently released Brutalist Edition which is the balance-minded version of the Vanilla version. So if you're looking for competitive SC2 balance, do Versus, if you're looking for the original stuff, do vanilla, but if you're looking for Vanilla but with balance in mind, do Brutalist. I recommend Vanilla personally, but SC2 Zerg can be a little overbearing (in non-Versus A-KH), and Brutalist solves that if you get tired of fighting SC2 Zerg. Although Orcs spamming Taurens with Bloodlust tends to delete SC2 Zerg.
That's exactly what I commented on harstem's video about the mod. Then today grubby put out a video coaching harstem on wc3 so I kinda got what I asked for... if it was a genie wish, or a monkey paw wish lol
Now that Microsoft owns Warcraft 3 they could make an Age of Empire crossover game with the various Warcraft factions allying with and fighting against real world historical nations.... could be a very fun silly alternate history RTS game :D

As far as I remember, there are some custom games that allow you to play WC3 maps with WC3 races in SC2, there are some with custom races and I think AI works in them as well, probably even too well since they are quite tought, at least for me XD

Blizzard really needs to embrace mods. They royally fcked up with the W3 remake and stepped further with denying custom games. Yet Hearthstone and Heros of the Storm were born from dedicated mods. Also the hero games in SC2.
Yeah they need to add creeps and increase production time on sc2 units or decrease construction time on the wc3 units that way its much harder for the sc2 player to rush the othet player or take expansions or even naturals for free
I really need a fusion of this mod with ALL RACES PVP 2, it must be epic to have all of that in one, the ultimate mod. Can you imagine the possibilities? P.S.: Includes the NAGA faction
I wouldnt call this WC VS SC, that title makes it sound like Orcs vs Terrans or Undead Vs Zerg would be possible which it isnt A better title would be WC3 in SC2 Skirmish.

@@h7744ss You just kill enemy units really. SC2 has a much faster economy and pace so you'll always be fighting in this mod!

Which version would you recommend? I've been playing a ton of Vanilla A-KH (won almost every game as protoss against warcraft factions).

I think the recourses are switched, Lumber = Crystals, Gold = Gas
I see as Gold = Crystals & Lumber = Gas because Grunts cost Minerals only & Headhunters requires Lumber (Gas)

They provided assets from WC3, but not the mode.

I've been playing a ton of this on the North American server under tiger temple. I like it, although I've won almost every game as protoss.
Yeah because the sc2 races are much stronger. The mod needs serious balancing work still.
This reforged gameplay looks very strange
You can body block by using the hold command but of course that's still not the same as in WC3
Would be fun if the races are balanced such that they can go toe to toe with StarCraft races.

I'd be curious to retry it properly against brutal computer, when i did a quick practice run to test it the computer micro'd pretty intensely
