I'm sorry to hear she's experiencing that. This is often due to pelvic floor muscle tightness (think muscle cramp) being created as a result of arousal which then decreases blood flow to those tissues causing in a pain sensation. The reason for the muscle tightening can be for a number of reasons, which is best determined by an assessment from a pelvic floor physical therapist. Based on their findings, they can then provide solutions for how to address the root cause and be able to enjoy sex without unwanted pain. Has she had an opportunity to connect with a pelvic floor physical therapist for care?
