This game is a real hidden gem. I have brought it to my game group several times and it has always been a blast. I personally like to put the bars in the box lid to make them easier to shuffle and move around, and it feels so satisfying reaching in to grab your bars.
That was very helpful I came across a few questions from just reading how to play . But you guys answered everything for me now my family is enjoying this classic game
Looks really good, and while the golden ticket mechanic is fun, I would probably just usually play with house rules that the winner is the person who got the most bars (maybe with gold ticket bars being worth 3)
Thank you for making this video. We played last night; it was Fun. We played following the booklet and only watched the video the next day. Good to see we played correctly.
Looks like a nice game, but I'm glad I didn't pick it up. Saw it in the store and my mind imagined the game put you through the Chocolate Factory, and made you survive all the wacky Wonka wonders. 🍫
We changed the ending so those who get golden tickets get between 5 and 20 victory points (depending on the number of players) and the chocolate bars are worth 2 victory points each. So far, it has worked out.
Nice commentary on the game! One point we are still not clear on: if Wonka is moved by another player and their die roll puts him on a space your token is already occupying, do you get a Wonka bar automatically?
Great teach as always! The game seems very thematic... to a fault. Literally, you're just collecting Wonka bars in the hopes that just one has a Golden Ticket. I wonder if there are any cards that let you steal Wonka bars from other players? Even then at the end of the day it's a game of chance. You could get just one bar throughout the game and still win OR you could collect the most bars out of all players and still lose. Uber fans of the movie will probably like this, but it'll be a pass for me. Keep up the awesome videos, Stella and Tarrant!
Agreed. It’s a shame there’s not a bit more to this game. Save yourself some time and just randomly pass out the Wonka Bars then see who got lucky with finding a Golden Ticket. As a big Wonka fan this is a pass until Target drops it to bargain bin prices. 😜
@@tjwright just do a house rule and only put one ticket in. Or do what my family did and make it so when the game ends, the first person to find their ticket wins
Thanks for the tutorial! I have a question about the abilities: so the hand refill says 4 but Veruca Salt’s ability says she can take one extra card. Does that mean only when she is playing cards that allow her to draw or is her refill actually 5? And is it possible to have more than 4 cards in your hand? I don’t see the advantage of going first if the other players get to start with five cards.
Can you play an exploding candy card outside of your turn to block an exploding candy directed at you? Or does it already have to be on your player card?
Whoever designed this game did a great job!
Wow, thanks!
I just got this for Christmas and this helped me out with understanding how to play because I'm a visual learner.

Great How To! My daughter just got the game and now I’m excited to play it with her.
Picked this up for $8 new at Target and am super excited to play it. Looks so fun and your instructions were very easy to understand.
As a gamer and fan of the movie, this looks light and fun. Good job on the video, as always.
Thank you Mister Rob! :D
I couldn't resist. I had to buy this for myself for Christmas 🎄🎁 🤣❤️
Oh for the love of God they need to come out with a sequel game!! For now I will definitely be picking this up!!
That was very helpful

Got this game discounted at Target. Really fun to play😆
Looks really good, and while the golden ticket mechanic is fun, I would probably just usually play with house rules that the winner is the person who got the most bars (maybe with gold ticket bars being worth 3)
We open one bar at a time all together to make it the first person who finds it be the winner.
One of the cutest “non commercial” games I’ve played!!
Bought this game and is pretty good, I'm not found of multiple tickets so we have just played 1 ticket so far
This looks pretty great.
I love all things Wonka, and have been looking for more short games to play with my group! Great pickup!
Thank you for making this video. We played last night; it was Fun. We played following the booklet and only watched the video the next day. Good to see we played correctly.
This video is made 1000x better solely because we got to hear Tarrant say, "Scrumdiddlyumptious"😂
Looks nice…blank faces are creepy…There should be a sequel game or a part 2!
Thank You for the detailed walkthrough it was very Scrumdidilyumptious!
I think the luck aspect is perfectly thematic.
What an incredibly dull box. I can't believe that's what they settled on. The game itself looks great though. Reminds me visually of Istanbul
I wished I would've watched this before we tried to play the game. It didn't go well🤣🤣🤣
I tried to play this without watching, I was so confused 🤣

Just bought this. Maybe re thinking it. Kinda confusing
Very good tutorial. I wonder how fun this game is
if you’re playing a 4 player game and 3 ppl got the tickets, how do u break ties or do they all win but one player?... 🤔

Is the wonka dice rolled and wonka then moved EVERY turn, or only after someone lands on a space with him and receives a chocolate bar?
Looks fun

You could determine the winner by counting how many Wonka Bars you got rather than who got the Golden Ticket
@TheManofDew , just got mine for $10 at Target!
@@joannacole2587 Me to and just bought the Movie, going to play while watching and eating a bunch of 🍬
I don't understand. In a 4 player game there are 3 golden tickets. What if three players each get a golden ticket? Who wins then?
According to the rules, there are no ties and there may be more than 1 winner, that is so lame!
@@raul.lobo.castillo totally lame! This game looks cute for the die hard fan of Wonka, but as a decent board game it looks like a hard pass
@@tjwright there's many ways to house rule this, and I think one of the designers even approved one of the house rules

If we have 4 cards and land in a space that says "draw 3", do we keep all 7 or do we have to discard some?
Didn’t the space say draw three and discard two? You can discard any two out of the seven cards in your hand.
@@gomoku6461 yeah but it didn't say discard. But we figured it all out :)
Seriously when and where can I get this
Just purchased it at Target.
What happens if you get multiple golden tickets?

This game is hard to understand.. had to watch video multiple times and still don’t understand 😅
I would only put 1 golden ticket in the game. Why have multiple winners? It's like when hockey had ties in games. Ugh!
11:4 Do you want to see?
How do you get to space 7-9 on a die that only had 6 nimbers on it?
If Willy Wonka moves to a card your already on do you get to gain a wonka bar and roll even if its not ure turn?
When will this be available? I can’t find it anywhere.
In the video description. Available at Target on August 1st.
Someone please tell me what’s the point of the coins ?? 😩 I’m not crazy, right??
And I don’t want to go back and get my stuff out of the house
What if 2 players have found the golden ticket who wins?
Both win
I’m home I just don’t know how to play this game
Seems hard to understand
