So excited for this one! I picked it up on a whim today. We live in the mountains in Colorado and it seems like such a perfect theme for us. We have really been getting into board games, it's starting to look like my book collection/library. lol :)
Sitting down to play this game and the video was very helpful! Liked and subscribed. Thanks for the quality content and glad that the creators are directing new players to this video from their website!
Oh also, we placed the starting camper badge facing the other players (upside down to starting camper) that way the arrow faced clockwise, which is the direction the rules and regulations direct us to go. It just satisfied our need for order lol.
Dude the first time we played this it was a free for all and we used the discard 1-3 scavenger card as one of the discarded cards and drew so many cards lol. It is never quite explicitly stated in the rules that’s how it goes so it took a few go thrus to realize ahhhh yeah, that isn’t counting as one of the discarded cards lol
It's like a race how the runners in the outer lanes start further ahead then the ones in the inner lanes. The first player gets to start the race so giving them less actions balances it for those who have to wait, the following players can catch up with the extra cards.
Great idea! Here are the rules off the top of my head for you: All you need is a meeple of different color than other players, or any other pawn that will represent a serial killer. When the game starts, place the serial killer off the board on the same lane as the first meeple to move. When any of the players shuffles cards from a discard pile, advance the serial killer 2 steps forward. When any of the players uses snack bars, advance the serial killer 1 step for each bar used. When any of the players steps on a spot with the bonus, swap the serial killer to that lane. When any of the players steps on a bridge, advance the serial killer 3 steps forward. When the serial killer pawn and any of the players' meeples end up on the same spot, remove those meeples from the game. Players can dodge the serial killer if they manage to move past them in one go, or hide from them if the serial killer moves past a player's meeple without stopping on their spot. The serial killer cannot step on the last bridge and will only be able to swap lanes once they reach the last possible step to move to. So here are the rules, hope you'll like them. Of course, some tweaking in number of steps the killer takes may require to balance out the cards and map tiles (I haven't played this game, so I don't know all the cards here), but I'm sure you'll figure it out once you get the game going. Enjoy!
Hi Everyone! Phil Walker-Harding is one of our favorite designers, and here is his new game! Thank you for popping in!
Stella & Tarrant.
Have you looked at his new one Explorers? Looks like some kind of mix of Silver & Gold and Kingdom Builder
Not yet, we love Silver and Gold tho, should check that out!🙏🥰
Thanks for the easy-to-follow guide! Grabbed this game last weekend and I'm hoping to get it to the table to play with the kids soon.

Phil Walker Harding is my favorite designer. Excited for this one
Same same same!!!!!
Woooot!! Stella.
Thank you! This helped me decide if I wanted to buy this game or not after watching the 4 Squares Review. Looks like a winner to me!!
This seems like a very good introduction to deck building for new boardgamers. Can't wait to try this out with my friends!
Moonrakers is another that looks easy to pick up
@@Wylie288 Thanks for the recommendation. I'll give it a look
What a seamless video. Great job on the production!
Thank you so much!
This video cured my cancer
My recommendation would be to put cards you plan to turn into energy into the play area upside down, to not confuse what action you are doing

Awesome game. Family fun!
I love Phil Walker-Harding's board games.

1:32 "take the smaller box labeled base pack..." It's the largest box in there.
Bought this on Amazon for 19.99 today!
Good price for an excellent game!
This game looks like pure torture. My son got this for Chriatmas. I don't need this much complexity.
This looks cool!
It's simple and fun :)
Stella.
What I don't get is why 3 cards 1st player, then 4,5,&6 for the other players? Why not 5 at the beginning for all players?

This game needs a serial killer.
Future expansion???
lol

Does anyone know the release date?
I think it's June 20th and it's going to be a Target Exclusive
@@eVanDiesel Awesome. Thank you so much.
I bought it today at Target along with Horrified & Fireball Island!!! Had never heard of it but between theme and designer, I went for it!
I bought this today along with Terraforming mars ares expedition!
I just don't understand the s'mores card I can just buy them all
when you buy something it goes into your discard, not into your hand. so you cant just chain and buy all of the smores cards
@@moeron420024 but I keep my discard pile.
@@moeron420024 and when I'm out of cards in my draw pile, my discard pile is shuffled and used as my draw pile.
The only negative thing I can say about this game is that it might lead more people to playing Dominion. 😆
Game is ass
