Hey, add more solar to the other side of your roof. Also, did you hear about the GoSun Solar EV Charger? what do you think of that?
Dude, Im scrolling though internet trying to find good solutions for a friend that dropped electronics in water.
You dont have time stamps and you talk about things that are irrelevant... Having to sit through a 10 min long video you probably could have made in to 2 min . This aint good my man. Looking for information, not entertainment nor 10 min of wasted time.
Why do apple products seem to corrode so easily? I have never in my entire life seen corrosion as severe as the one in the video.
Apple will sell you a "special" rice with an Apple logo for $1000...🤗
I needed a shortened video like this explaining this, I have friends that still believe this myth and the videos explaining this well were way too long for most people to sit through, so maybe next time I can share this.
Thanks for watching! I hope it can be a good resource for others.
4:46 Totally agreed 💯
So use BIG rice pieces.
LOL
I collect silica gell pouches for this reason, haven't had the need to use them yet though
Hopefully you won’t need them!
What about immersing the device with 100% alcohol
Alcohol will displace the water and then evaporates very quickly especially if the device is warmed
I mentioned using IPA, are you talking about a different alcohol (or just the purity percentage)? In general, yes, it would help displace minerals, etc and evaporate quickly. I do recommend at least a higher purity IPA like a 91%.
Use a vacuum cleaner to suck out the liquid until you can get the device open and fully dried.
I was told if you put your phone in rice overnight, it will attract asians who will come and fix it for you and then take the rice as payment
don't you rice cause apple not gonna sell you another phone. why would it get starchy? for sure before putting it in a bag with rice folks gonna wipe it with paper towels. there would be not enough water for starch become a danger. also whenever you are buying electronics, - there are those antihumidity bags which can be reused.
3rd
Rich rebuild used rice for a flooded EV and it seemed to worked lol😂
He's got a great channel! If he uses rice, I'll get on his case.
Then unfortunately Rich Rebuilds is a bit of a fool
Wait... how do we lure asian technicians to fix our wet devices if we don't use rice anymore!?
You know, I want to believe you, but you posted this on April First and it's next to a video on finding the original vein that pet rocks were quarried from and another video claiming that eclipses move from west to east.
Well, I feel dumb, you are probably right. I definitely wasn't thinking about the date. But this is definitely a video I have been wanting to make for a while.
