Hello everyone! I am stoked as hell to finally bring an idea my boyfriend/ filmographer, Vincent, had for awhile combined with the fan favorite of the album (and his) Frozen, which is my gothic folk metal cover of Madonna’s classic song.
Frozen was originally released by Madonna on Ray of Light in 1998 & I have fond memories of this & some of her other songs being part of my life growing up. Madonna is one of only a few pop artists I listen to & Frozen stood out to me as I wrote The Gallows Tree, as to me, in my reimagining of it, I wanted to make it a folk metal ballade of revenge. So I did. This is a dark retelling of the classic Madonna song, complete with hurdy gurdy (not shown in this video because I didn’t want my gurdy to get snow in it), cinematic orchestras & percussion, & heavy guitars to set a mood of darkness overpowering a broken heart.
I hope that you all enjoy the video. It was originally released on January 23rd 1998
It was originally written and produced by Madonna, Patrick Leanard, and William Orbit (just produced).

This version was released December 18th 2022 & produced by ArwenStarsong & Morgan Keeney (Inverted Audio Productions( completely independently.

@mo9932 Ian was a huge supporter of my music and was actually the first to listen to quite a few of the songs in their demo form. He'd also offers to make more props for me and even a mic stand at one point. Had to have his stuff here for sure. We all miss him so much still.
