😂🤣 You know my brain nearly blew up trying to say manganese.... and I still got it wrong... 😂 I think I got it down now though... Depend, The powder lasts forever almost where the liquid needs to be used within the week if you keep it in the fridge. and the liquid is great for watering young plants with, although it has very little nitrogen... but a little urine will fix that, 😂
Does heating it destroy and nutrients? I have seen other videos on making banana tea by soaking 3 days. Some say not to use the tea method that it attracts fungus to instead dry bananas and make a powder. What’s best?
you can soak also, it just takes a few days soaking where this is much faster. Making powder is good for storage as lasts for as very long time and also is less prone to cause stinky rotting fruit fly problems if leaving the peels on the surface. To be honest, since I got my worm bin going... I just give them the skins now as its less messing around.
Can you simply add chopped banana peels to water. How I do it is simply use a 5 gallon bucket with a lid add my chopped banana peels to the water and cover. I let it sit for about 30 days in my garage. I do stir the mixture every 7-10 days. Seems to work well.
If I had not watched this video and your blue berry video I would have never figured out that my black raspberry Bush was low on potassium. I was wondering why the edges of the leaves were lightening. After reading further about it, it was a potassium deficiency.😱🤦♀️ Thank you!
There are people who swear by willow leaf water as the best root grow tonic fertilizer. Just taking willow tree leaves as many as you can into a 5 gallon bucket and let rainwater fill it up with no chlorine in it, as not tap water. This is seedling root first grow juice like this banana peel broth. It might not have the potassium as banana peel juice but it has some very slimy coatings that the roots like so they dont dry out between waterings, something like that.
11.5% is the most accurate percentage of k levels and this was based off a peel test. Giving it a pretty high K levels. I burnt plants with 6 peels in a gallon
I remember my mother digging the banana peels into the ground around her roses....they were always beautiful
Love these DIY natural fertilizer ideas. We'll have to give this one a try. Would be interested in seeing some natural insecticide ideas too.
Great idea!
Good video, thanks. Love seeing the Dragonfruit behind you too.
Magna knees! Awesome video, great editing and very informative. But what is better, this or banana peel powder??

Doesn't boiling remove nutrients?
