I just bought me a '75 and was looking to restore my boat and found your videos and they have deff been helpful and hope mi boat looks as good as yours

Just discovered your channel yesterday. I'm having to do the same in an 86 Skeeter I just bought. Also have a '70 Glastron that was my grandfather's. He bought it brand new in '70 and has garage kept it its entire life. Has a 80hp Merc all original and runs like a sewing machine. I love these old boats. Keep up the great work 👍

Looking great JMink! What did you do to cover the floors? Same black paint you did in the bow? or did the guys who did the outside finish it? Im thinking of gel coating mine and putting down some sort of SeaDek once im at that stage.
Thanks! I had the guy who did the paint cover my floors for me. He used a black gel coat (even though I asked for gray). Anyway, I plan on having snap in carpet eventually so I can remove as needed. Thanks for watching!
Glue in carpet I always associate with mold and little plants eventually rotting your floor, I have a few friends with snap on carpet over their gel coat and they love being able to take it out and do a thorough clean. Hope it works as well for you.
I like how you did your floor to stringer attachment, and seat mounting blocks. Definitely utilizing those strategies when I start putting mine back together. Im at the hull right now, almost done with grinding.
Yeah, I do not want to do anything to put the floor in jeopardy in regards to rot. Good luck with all that grinding, you'll be on cloud nine when it's over!
