Indeed - it makes a change from the old LP of this organ. Typically it seems to be the Cocchi stuff that has pattern mistakes but some Blache (Spirit of Youth in particular) seemed to have a few skipped sections...
I was buzzing when you said you'd filmed a nice long video of this really nice Marenghi. I like how compact it is as well I bet it was fun being on keyframe duty I still want to learn how to operate the keyframe.
Thanks Harry - I had a great time at the keyframe, Keith was very kind to let me spend such a long time with the organ! Operating organs is quite easy, it's only really lifting the keyframe and bringing it back down again! :)
A rookie mistake is to not give the book sufficient run in time to engage the declanche and opening registers. Best to put the bridge down on the label.
@@DavidBurgessMechanicalMusic I personally think they sound more inspired by organs like 45 key Limonaires and smaller French organs. This video is a good example: ua-cam.com/video/rB97QMn21Vg/v-deo.html
@@ThatEverydayEnthusiast Exactly! I wonder if for the 150 scaled organs if Wurlitzer himself was inspired by Limonaire Freres when doing these types of organs?

Thanks Adam.
Nice to hear nearly all Chiappa music!, even with a few pattern mistakes in some of them.

That was the economy version. @MechanicalMusicTravels
@@MechanicalMusicTravels Spirit of Youth is a Cocchi arrangement too.
@@PeterMackett Ahh, I wasn't sure. Thanks for that.
I have a cassette of this organ, used to be owned by Tom and Eileen Barry.
@@RaggyAl1971 That's right, I believe a couple of cassettes were issued of it, as well as an LP which featured it on one side.

I can see now why smaller Band Organs like the 105, 104, and 125 were inspired by smaller Fairground Organs like this Marenghi and the Ruth Model 33.
This instrument has no connection to the Wurlitzer w125 series organs. They are based on much older trumpet barrel organs from limonaire.
@@christiantedesco1477 I was meaning in sound. They sound similar.
