Must have been one of the highest of magnitude on pressure and significance for these news readers to deliver, despite it 'being their jobs' they'll still be as affected as we are.
I was 12 years old when she died and living in the states. I would always see her on magezines and on tv thinking how gorgeous and angelic she looked, rest east Lady Di Americans loved you.
Yes. I remember this quite clearly hearing Dermot Murgahan break the news to a shocked nation that Diana had died. I remember thinking how shocking it was, but at the same time I wasn't really surprised by it at all. There was something in the air for months leading up to her death, but you couldn't quite put you finger on it. I firmly believe that had she not died, she would still be alive today.
The source they must have had that told them it was a serious accident but she had survived must have been someone at the scene because it was true as far as the people at the scene knew. She was still alive when she left the scene in the ambulance. They had no idea that she was bleeding out into her rib cage and that her heart was displaced until she got into surgery.
I adored her and was sobbing at the news. The next day I went to work and I passed several news paper stands and every single news agency had printed in huge black letters: Diana Dead. Horrible.
Like most people I was shocked and upset when Diana died. I am not a royalist nor against them I'm not bothered one way or the other but I don't think they should have been bullied into lowering the palace flag. They didn't even do that when The King died or Queen Elizabeth so why would they do it for an ex daughter in law no matter how popular she was.
I hope on all countries to turn bridge piers into walls so that cars that crash into them can keep sliding without suffering the same fate as Princess Diana.
Little did Dermot know that 8 days after this interview, he would annouce the Queen's death....

Nice one Maggie. 😁👍
I remember Where I was when princess Diana died exactly where I was
Think you’ll find that applies to literally millions of us !
Same, a personal memory of that time.
Dermot did the same with the Queen's death on sky news last year
Just days later he would announce the Queen's death on Sky News - the first UK network to do so, I believe.
I adored her and was sobbing at the news. The next day I went to work and I passed several news paper stands and every single news agency had printed in huge black letters: Diana Dead. Horrible.
She was a difficult lady was she?
I wonder what Jennie Bond would be like if she was tracked, hacked, followed and stalked?
Difficult ?
Weird

She was NOT a princess. She left charles after humiliating and cheated on him.. no more a princess than megan
she did dnot leave Charles, and Meghan is a princess.
