I'm 50/50 on this. Yes, I'm sad about the og cast not coming back and felt like things should've ended there but I just wanna see how D4 turns out. It probably won't bring the sense of nostalgia when i watch the previous movies and I saw no point in continuing the series

I want everyone back.. Except as said well by Bandit in the cartoon Bluey, if we're the dogs, Carlos was the dog that was removed which made everyone disappear. I just hope that maybe possibly in one of the later movies an older adult Mal comes back to like save Auradon or something.

Plus it was sad for when cameron died and none told me. When I finally knew last year I cried all day. Its just going to feel weird and wrong without the original cast But what if the original cast made a different movie all together.
Thank you cause I've been pissed seeing people griping the ogs weren't returning. Like respect their feelings! They lost not just a cast mate, but a brother. They were FAMILY. To keep his memory alive and honored, making the movies with a brand new cast feels like the best thing to do. Cause they can pay tribute to him in this new film.

You are aware that there are more Disney descendants than just those we've seen correct. Why wouldn't it be a descendants movie with a new group of descendants? It wouldn't make sense to bring in descendants of other Disney fairy-tale characters and call it something other than Descendants?
They wrapped up the story line for the OG characters in Descendants 3. That's a pretty good starting point for me.
@@fr0stb1ght34 They could've just called it Descendants: Rise of the Red instead of Descendants 4: Rise of the Red. Other shows have done it to show that though both movies are related and in the same timeline, but they're not following the exact same story and characters. At least, I would've preferred it that way.

I’m gonna miss the original cast members😢 but if I was them, I probably wouldn’t wanna be in descendants without Cameron Boyce either and when Dove Cameron read that letter out loud about Cameron Boyce and was crying. It made me cry.
They could do a fourth movie. There are a total of four books. I'm surprised they didn't keep these movies going even after one more book in the series. Did the actors not want to do it anymore? That's also surprising because the movies send a good message about self-acceptance and love and compassion.

The woman talking in the video asked if we're excited about the new movie or will we miss the original cast? For me, it's a bit of both. I want to see how the plot works out, but I'm also bummed that only China is coming back. For those who thought it would be hard to do D4 without Cameron, I'm bummed that they aren't coming back, but I respect their reasoning for that decision. The new movie MIGHT not be as great as the others, but I will withhold definite judgment until after I watch it.

While it’s a lot more outside than just the original descendants story, I believe they should have left it alone. While it’s heartbreaking to say, the story felt pretty complete and without Cameron, it wouldn’t be the same. Although changing the entire cast will not make anything better.

I wish they would come back. The movie was my favorite movie as a young kid! Dove Cameron and the rest of the group, do in fact want a forth movie they just don't want to be in it, they think it would be nice to watch it once its out, but being there with the same people without Cameron would most likely make them feel sad.
After the loss of Cameron Boyce, I was so crestfallen that bought a copy of Carlos’s leather jacket from the second film to honor his memory. I may not have known him in life, but I just feel safe and close to him whenever I wear it. When I heard how Dove Cameron was taking it, I tried to show the same respect for her by finding a copy of the leather jacket Mal wore in any of the films. That didn’t work out since they don’t exist in men sizes, but it’s not exactly a loss since I have everything I need to say goodbye to a fallen star😢
The inescapable reality of all of this is I used to LOVE the Descendants movies😞Now they just make me feel like crying my eyes out until I can’t breathe. I’d be willing to give a 4th film a shot, but I honestly couldn’t care less if it were indeed imminent

First of all, RIP Cameron Boyce. 💔 He is an angel up in heaven who passed so young. He was amazing and iconic in everything I've ever seen him in: Mirrors (a great horror/thriller movie where he was just a toddler), Jessie, Bunk'd, and Descendants. His dancing was always impeccable. He had such a unique style of comedy that lured you in. And everybody will miss him forever. Wooh. It's good to get that out.

I get that they want to continue making more descendants movies. But without the original cast and not to mention Cameron Boyce’s dead, i don’t think there will be a whole fandom. They should make a separate movie with them, but not pick up from the OG movies and put some other people in. Its just not descendants without mall, evie, carlos and Jay.
