- Descendants: The Rise of Red is on its way, and fans of this beloved Disney franchise are so excited to see a new chapter of this story unfold. A fourth Descendants film seemed like an impossibility for some time, since the original cast was mourning the loss of actor Cameron Boyce, and it was hard to imagine what this franchise would look like without him. Instead of ending the Descendants story forever or continuing it without such an important member of the cast, the minds behind the franchise chose, instead, to start a new branch of the story with new main characters and let the old story come to a close. Descendants: The Rise of Red will follow Red and Chloe, the daughters of the Queen of Hearts and Cinderella, respectively, on their quest to save the world together. Plenty of details of this film have been kept under wraps thus far, including when the release date will be. So, until we know when we can actually watch the movie and start enjoying the soundtrack, we’re busy figuring out all the details we can about this film. We’ve learned that while the main characters will be new, there will be plenty of familiar faces returning. We will also get to see some exciting actors reprise their roles from other iconic films. I promised myself at first that i would not watch the 4th movie after Cam died but now that i think more about it. It was a part of me growing up and i know i would make Cam proud by watching it as a true fan so i’m going to watch it in honor of Cameron

I didn’t want to watch descendants 4 without one of my favorite actors. But I did grow up watching the first 3 movies. And to be honest. I think Cameron boys would want me to watch it since I was a fan of him even before descendants

I dont like the idea of them making another movie without Cameron. It just doesn't make sense which is why most of the original cast isn't going to be in the fourth one.
That’s why they should stop marketing it as Descendants 4 that’s not what it is and then partnering it as such does nothing but hurt the movie. It’s a spinoff with new main characters that’s still set in the same universe. Then calling it Descendants 4 is like saying the the current season of Bunk’d is just a new season of Jessie
