No matter how many years it’s been I still can’t believe that Cameron is gone. I grew up watching him on Jessie and these movies and I remember finding out he passed and I just remember being so shocked and I cried for hours. He will forever hold a special place in my heart. Rip Cameron. You will never be forgotten ❤❤❤
Yeah, it will be hard for me to watch descendants 4, the one of the reasons that I watched Descendants 1, 2, and 3, is because of Cameron, he will be forever miss, but he's in a better place.

In the final movie Disney opened the door to introduce new characters - a younger crowd that should take the story in an entirely new direction. Everyone wants to original cast members to continue but several of them have already chosen new life directions and we should respect their decisions.

Honestly it will never ever be the same without cam even if the original cast wanted to be in the 4th movie I will forever miss him no word can explain how I feel about his death since it affected me a lot. As much as someone’s favourite actor that they’ve never seen in real life can go. I might watch the 4th movie but it will never be as good as the first 3 they really kept a safe space for me growing up and it still does now even tho I’m much older. Cam was a big part of my life and I will miss him I understand why the og cast can’t move on from his death and wishes to distance themselves from the Disney channel I get that but at the same time I think cam would want them to continue with it. As much as I would love for them to be in the 4th movie and continue with the plot they had going for them it’s not gonna happen and I think I need to accept that and move on :)

And yeah I also miss Cameron sm, when he died I was so young and I didn't know well who he was but I felt so bad for him and sad, in 2019 I still didn't watch descendants, and Jessie,i knew some songs and stuff cuz my sister watched it and i think I watched some parts of d3 and Jessie,, i was obsessed with queen of mean but i didn't fully watched them. Now I'm older and I fully watched descendants ( not Jessie but maybe I'm gonna watch i just don't know where to) and I'm a fan of Cameron. I wish I was his fan before he died, but it's alright I'm still gonna miss him and I'll never forget him😢💞

@@SL1TFACE When Cameron died a lot of the main cast members decide that they wouldn’t want to be in the next film so they decided to get a whole new cast. a few old members will be in the next film but non of them are mains (like china/Uma apparently she will be in the next movie)

I don't want a descendants 4, I just wouldn't be able to handle seeing a new descendants without the OG cast. They all had a big impact on me, especially Cameron. Cameron was my role model when I was little and it was (still kind of is) hard to come to terms with his passing. He made me realize how much I loved dancing, singing and acting. I know it's silly, he never knew I existed but he gave me motivation to pursue my dreams and he will always have a special place in my heart. And the rest of the cast, I remember just watching the tv in awe, seeing all the talented people and wanting to be there with them. Over the past two years, I've gained confidence and I'm finally pursuing my acting career all thanks to them. I hope I can be as talented as them one day.

I agree with Dove, though I just hope it doesn't turn out to be another Bunk'd. Honestly, I really liked how Descendants 3 ended, and think it was a good wrap up for fans to use their imagination and add their own stories to the mix.

I actually respect their decision to not be in the fourth movie if they decide to make the fourth installment. I understand because I grew up watching cameron playing Carlos in the descendants franchise but I also grew up watching Cameron Boyce on Jessie and I feel like their decision to keep that safe space for the original DC as well as the new DC while Also not being in it was the right decision. I know that a lot of people will disagree with that, but I feel that if there is to be a new cast, they will take it to the next level while also honoring the originals and honoring the previous installments with the amazingness that we all saw in them.

I feel content enough with the spin off they made in honor of Cameron. The royal wedding seemed enough since I for one and possibly speaking for others, actually wanted to see the wedding they were talking about in the third movie. If they can move on from descendants, so can we. ❤

I remember watching descendants growing up and absolutely falling in love with the original characters and it hurt me so much when I found out that Cameron died and don't get me wrong I love the idea of the series continuing but It's not gonna be the same without them.
I am a HUGE fan of descendants and always have been, however I don't think it would be right to have a film without the four of them as they are the whole reason that most people fell in love with it. I am actually glad that they didn't agree to filming another one. Also, its still shocking to me that Cameron died, I grew up watching him and was so sad when I found out that he had died :(

Im honestly understanding of the ones who dont think they could continue it. As stated sometimes people grieve differently and sometimes you close a chapter of your life to move forward. I didnt even think of the possibility of a fourth one after hearing about Cameron's passing. Im glad China has movedforward since they almost grew up together before the movieseven started being filmed and i can understand why she chose to be apart of it. Knowing there is a fourth comingout is nice but i also dont expect any of the original cast to want to be apart of it. I like the idea of a spin-off but when you drag a movie series out too long it becomes repetitive and boring. Im glad that they gave a new cast i just hope thestoryline isnt going to be awful just because it seems like they only decided to make one more because fans demanded one and not because they had wanted fo make it. Those always end up being crappy compared to the originals.

I first got to know about Cameron from the disney show Jessie. And I love his character so much in the descendants too. Knowing about his death kinda ruined my childhood and the fact that if there was another descendants movie, he wouldn't be in it. And trust me, it just feels wrong. Cameron was such a big part of my childhood. I will NEVER ever forget him as he is a part of my heart. Its still unbelievable that he died so young and so soon. It was so hard on me and unexpected. We forever hold you in our hearts cameron

Speaking from experience of losing those you love. Sometimes even the idea of doing something you once love doing with someone special can be extremely difficult. On one hand, you want to honor that person by continuing to do something that you both were passionate about, but on the other hand, attempting to do it without that other person can only further remind you of the pain that they are no longer around, thus making it hard and difficult to find strength and move forward. After losing someone you truly care about. You never really heal from it so much as you learn to continue to move forward despite the pain of losing them.
It will never be the same without Cameron, but Cameron always wanted people to be happy and move forward past things, you don't have to forget about Cameron, but I think the original cast would make a much better movie than any other replacement. I believe that Cameron would have wanted the entire original cast to be n the next one in memory of him.
I love how the rest of the og cast is standing by this and leaving D3 as it is and letting the story end and we’re all happy how it ended , and I don’t like how china decided to carry on WHEN UMA WAS LET INTO AROUDON !! SHE WAS FRIENDS WITH MAL AT THE END HER CHARACTER IS COMPLETE !!

I grew up with Cameron's Boyce!! And I am so proud that Dove, Sofia and Booboo are NOT returning for the fourth film!!
I agree with them not wanting to film another without Cameron Boyce, it just wouldn't feel right. That being said I have a feeling the reason they want to return to the series is not only just it's own popularity and wanting to capitalize on that and people's love of the series, but also because of the rise in popularity of Twisted Wonderland their mobile game and fans waiting on the edge of their seat for the anime to release on Disney plus. It's in a similar but different vain so I imagine they feel like now is a good time to revisit the Descendants "Villain's kids" concept as well, plus just having had some years to get past the initial shell shock and hurt of Cameron's passing . He was a wonderful person and will still be dearly missed I don't think the movies would feel the same without him there with them. I'm sure it's still painful or would feel very odd for many of them reprising their old roles without him and it will be as odd for the fans so it's probably not something anyone will fully be able to move past completely and that's totally valid. I do really hope that China Anne Mcclaine and the new cast have a good time and do a good job though.
I personally like the idea of a film that follows some new folks to see what happened after the "happy ending" in the kingdoms, however, I think it will be kinda nice for it to follow mostly new characters too. I feel like the main cast's story wrapped up very nicely with the first 3 movies ending with the VK's breaking the barrier down. Just like the rest of the cast did. Though, I know there were a lot of villains that either weren't covered or were barely covered and it'd be nice to see Dizzy and Ceilia again and what's gone on since we last saw them and how they're adjusting and some of the other villain's kids as well. Plus ngl I just wanna see how Scar fits in their universe cause I saw his banner and am starting to wonder if it can fill a gap in some of Twisted's lore with the "beastmen" and how that ever became a thing. Maybe even tie the two together loosely since Twisted seems to be set hundreds-thousands of years into the future on an island called Sage Island that like sees the villains as the hero's in their stories and that'd be oddly fitting of the island in Descendants in a distant past and I wanna know if the two series are loosely related or totally separate AU's

i'll still watch the fourth one regardless. but i know many fans can agree with me when i say i'll most likely feel a lack of connection to the movie. i feel bad for not being able to move on, for 'dragging it out' to some others. but cameron boyce will forever affect me, and i truly believe it wont be the same without him. he wasn't just an actor, but a true joy to many. the descendants storyline is great, and it's understandable they'd want to continue. but it's hard to be excited with the circumstances- i can't imagine how booboo, sofia and dove feel as well. i know no one can predict a sudden passing, no matter how much time; we'll be affected. true fans will be happy with whatever the cast decides to do: descendants isn't just a movie, they built genuine relationships with eachother. i'll forever support what the cast wants to do ❤
I understand the original cast of Descendants don't want to be part of the new movie and that's fine. They are still hurt with the passing of Cameron Boyce and they don't feel like they could do it without him. I also wish the original cast good luck with their healing and they could move on with their life. I'm also excited to see Descendants 4 happen and see if it's better with the new cast that we saw at D23 Expo.

I really like descendants and it’s my favorite movie!! But I honestly think that the movie won’t be the same without Cameron in it. I’ve seen him on so many shows and he has a great personality!! I was so sad when i found out cameron died he died so young and its just so heartbreaking its been 4 yrs since he passed and we are all still heartbroken. I am very sad though because I was hoping to see Ben and Mal get married in the next movie but that will never happen now. Im not sure how in the movie they are supposed to explain what happened to the og VK's but i guess we'll see I wonder if its still going to involve the Isle, Auradon and even what will happen to all the villains and good kids parents or even if the barrier is still down? Ive heard the new one is based on the queen of hearts daughter etc. I really hope they keep dizzy and celia though bc they were really great characters and as they are VK's now maybe they should also base it on them?

With Cameron gone the descendants will never be the same again especially with the fact that all the cast have left the show it’s been a long time and each time I hear something about Cameron I breakdown his death was very unexpected and he will forever be missed. I watched Cameron grow up on television along side my kids. Was so excited when descendants came out. Couldn’t imagine another one without him. I get why they don’t want to be apart of it. Bringing back all the memories could just make wound reopen.
People have to respect that the main cast members wouldn't feel comfortable going back without Cameron and others would be.
Grief is such a strong and deep emotion, and it affects each person differently.
Everyone should respect the decision of all of the cast members and not poke further than that. They can process it as they see fit.
That said, it would be extremely strange to have a 4th movie without all the main cast, especially Carlos.

I have always maintained, and still do, that Descendants is a TRILOGY. . .period, and that the end of number three wrapped up the story very satisfactorily. There was never any point in doing a sequel, or even a spinoff (that's what they're calling it). Kenny Ortega isn't even involved with this one.

I still can’t believe that he is gone 😔 I remember hearing that he died and I wanted to cry I can’t remember if I did but I remember I wanted to. I remember I had felt so weird for days when he died and I couldn’t even listen to a song because it made sad. His death never will settle with me and it never did. One hand I absolutely understand this on the other I feel like the first three descendants was for a completely different group of Disney kids/young adults. I don’t think the rest of the franchise is going to be geared towards the same people so I think it’s going to be completely different. I also feel like people forget that there is an entire series of descendants books, which is vaguely what the movies are based off of and I feel like they always had plans to eventually retire the original cast. By the end of the third movie, most of those actors and actresses, even before Cameron passed away we no longer signed to Disney and Disney had already made plans to do a fourth movie.
I think this was always the game plan like I feel like people forget that by the end of the third, not even the end of the third move before the third movie even had come out, or Cameron had passed away we already knew that Dove, Sophia and I believe boo-boo Were no longer signed under Disney. Their contracts had ended and they weren’t planning on resigning. Dove had already talked about how she felt like this was the end of her Disney career. She was getting too old for it. She wanted to venture out into other things. She had already been working on the new music and stuff that she’s been coming out with for the past couple years. I feel like Sophia has ventured into different types of acting like none of them were planning on staying and I highly doubt that they were completely unaware of the fact that they were going to be doing more descendants movies it’s just that Cameron passing happened and I think maybe they assumed that they wouldn’t continue them because from what I remember before he passed away, the talks was of him and China, being the only original people from the first three movies who would continue on the others. It’s one of the reasons why they were made younger in the movie realm that the other members.
Like jay, evie and mal all had storylines that tied up real nicely in the third movie. They were all basically graduating they had already been talking about traveling by their own castle, and opening their own physical store, being too busy busy ruling an entire country/kingdom. That was already wrapped up, and it was being set up for those two members that would’ve been left behind to continue the franchise with the new cast of characters. That’s why we were introduced to Izzy and Cecilia and the twins, because they were always going to take over eventually, and become part of the new characters for the next installment.
I definitely think that this sucks for those of us who grow up with Cameron where he will say staple part of our childhood and things but it also makes sense. I feel like this is something that happens a lot and it sucks when an actor or a celebrity who is a part of a franchise passes away Earlier than people would have assumed for any reason, but I also feel like people left understand that end of the day a lot of these places are businesses they are corporation and I don’t think they’re pulling a fourth movie out of their ass. I genuinely think they already had this planned. Matter of fact, with the way that Disney runs they probably already had something put into place for X amount of descendants movies, because they wanted to continue on as a series before the movie was done filming they would’ve already had all the legal paperwork put into place for the next two or three installments. They just pushed it back as much as they possibly could until they felt like it was OK to five and come out with it.

After finding out about Cameron’s demise I thought it was a hoax, until I found out it wasn’t, I’m actually becoming an actress sooner or later and when I got my photos done, Cameron’s camera man was MY cameraman I WAS SHOCKED!!! He didn’t know the news so I informed him 💔 I thought they’ll never make 4 and then I found out they were making it WITH KYLIE CANTRALL AND MAYBE RUBY ROSE TURNER I FREAKED OUT!!!! Honestly I don’t think I can bring myself to even watch this movie knowing Cameron’s gone
I can totally accept a new Descendants if they really change the story and characters. If they go for new paths and explorations. In that case I can totally appreciate a new Descendants movie
Even now with cameron’s death I still can’t believe it and I still don’t want to accept the fact that hes gone
I understand the OG cast's reluctance but I feel that Cameron wouldn't mind if it continued. The movie could have been in memory of him and made it great.When Paul Walker passed away I was of course sad but I'm glad the Fast movies continued and felt they did him justice.

I love Descendants, but I don't think I will be able to watch the fourth movie without Cameron. Even though his passing was long ago, it still hurts and pulls a string of sadness, I remember locking myself in my room for a few hours, crying over his death. My other classmates that watched it looked so sad when they found out Aswell. I know I would get told by my mother that I need to move on, and maybe I would like the movie, but I don't think I want to, I can’t. I might see it once, but I don't think I will be watching it that much. He will never be forgotten and I hope he’s well in heaven.
Maybe Cameron would like the Descendants franchise to continue, but I think it wouldn't be the same without the original cast.
I don't know if I'll watch D4...
We all miss Cameron, and I think the only real Descendants franchise is from D1 to D3.

It will never be the same with out Cameron . So I think they shouldn’t make a descendants 4 but instead make a different movie series with different characters. So that they could make more descendants without messing with the OG 4. This is just my opinion please don’t get mad.
Now with the 4th trailer out it looks like it’s gonna be pretty good , it’s understandable that the some of them don’t wanna do another one .
So far the 4th one seems lit , the song with china and Kylie is amazing.
If they want to do part 4, then Disney can take the torch alongs they play their cards right and not to ruin the stories that were already written like they have done with MCU and that would make it confusing. I also don't blame them for closing that chapter. It would be just too hard to keep coming in front of the camera for months and act like Carlos is there off screen, doing his own thing, when Cameron is gone. That was his legacy that he not only left with the movie, but with the channel for us kids that grew up watching him. RIP Cameron 💔
I don't know if I really want to tune into Descendants 4 to be quite honest. Like the original cast said it wouldn't be the same without Cameron Boyce. I think the only reason I would tune in is because of Brandy playing Cinderella and Paolo Montelban playing the Prince. From the Rodgers and Hammersteins Cinderella. Just found out that they will be reprising their roles when they starred together in the Cinderella the musical with Whitney Houston and Debra Martin Chase being the producers of the movie and Whitney Houston playing Brandy's Fairy Godmother, so... I don't know I haven't really decided but most likely no.

@KC Oh yes I know. I was saying that Whitney Houston played Brandy's fairy godmother in the Rodgers and Hammersteins version. I know Melanie Paxton will reprise her role in Descendants 4.
But you should watch because China is gonna be there too if u watch it, I'm gonna watch because she's gonna be there and the actress of the Fairy godmother is gonna be there too but like it's OBVIOUSLY not gonna be as good as the other three movies

I grew up watching Cameron and dove Cameron and the original cast of Descendants and itll never be the same and i was devasted after 2019 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
I just honestly think it’s plain disrespectful to add on to a sequel when one of the original cast members that was there for years working in incredibly hard, to just add another movie is plain rude. u can’t replace something like that, that movie grew up with me and a part 4 just won’t even be a part 4, they might aswell make a new movie since it’s almost very close to a completely new cast.

I've always been waiting for a descendants 4, but I also agree that it's not going to be the same without Cameron.
I get none of the main cast wanting to be in it. This is a sad thing but also a good thing. It allows us to explore more of Auradon and the Isle with different perspectives and main characters. I think of 4 as a spin-off. Lots of book series do it and most do it well because we get to see the world we love from different eyes and it can make us love that world even more than before. We can fall in love with more and more characters this way.
I will always miss my for Villain kids and Cameron will always have a special place in my heart. I'm glad they are moving on in their own ways and do agree it'd be very weird without Carlos. I think this is the best route Disney could've taken both for our Villain Kids and for the franchise.
