@karlmax6031 The comparison makes perfect sense. Marriage is a man made construct. Whether u are a couple bf/gf or a married couple, the only difference is the title, literally everything else is comparable.

Better question is would her husband be happy with her having other husbands. What rights, you are told to cover up only because of jealous husbands. Not allowed any freedom. No rights
Nick being shocked at the thought of a Muslim couple having an open relationship, he should probably check on the Mormons and rich European men with mistresses.

Dear its not a debate all prophets had more than one wife so there are 2 ways 1 if a man fears that he will go towards adultery even if he is married he should be allowed to have 2nd marriage inspite of sleeping around and cheating his wedded wife but only if he can take care both wives and kids he has from them equally if not than its compulsory to abstain from doing so. 2ndly if he has enough resourses and can take care of more than 1 family he should it will give protection to the woman who needs a man by her side in society a woman who feels secure that way. But the condition is same he has to be just and if he cant he has no rights to do so. And for the people who think woman should be allowed to have more than one partner lawfully at the same time for them i have 1 question how many times you will go for a paternity test or DNA test if she gets pregnant. And lets acknowledge the way nature has created man and woman its not about religion or law its about keeping the society on the track where every child knows who his father and family is and every woman knows that she has some constraints she has to be with in those to keep things simple.
@ that’s isn’t what she agreed to though she agreed if it were possible he could take another wife and bring her to Britain but it’s against the law so not possible. Had it been to divorce her to get another wife I think she would feel different.
She's only saying marriage because that would give them the ability to rescue a family from Gaza. It would make it easier for the woman and children to leave if they had a way to move to the UK, where this couple could help them. She's not saying she would be doing this for her husband. She's literally wanting to just save the lives of as many as she can. She's willing to sacrifice to save innocent people. I think she is noble and clearly kind hearted. Money wouldn’t help as Israel blocks aid. But if he married a woman from there they could get them out as the spouse of a British citizen, but the flaw in that plan is that polygamy isn’t recognized in the Uk so he would have to divorce his current wife to do that.
So hypocritical. Western society (largely) outraged over a man and woman deciding together that it would be ok to have another woman in the marriage.
