It’s hard to believe this was in 1956. Such clarity. I can’t imagine those dance moves in the 50’s. He was certainly a pioneer and courageous to keep fighting the establishment. If he’d given up, can you imagine? No Elvis? Perish the thought. 😂😂❤❤
Fun fact about this performance ... I was watching a documentary on Elvis with all his posse weighing in with commentary. The guys in his band said they thought they were finished with the song when he started up again at half speed. They had no idea he was going to do that and so they just followed his lead. Fortunately this was his band who had been touring with him, so they were used to him doing the unexpected and had learned to watch him and follow him. If you watch closely you can see him throwing them hand signals.
