Hey Cory! Those light switches that don’t work? Plug a lamp into outlets you aren’t using and flip the switch on (try to turn on the lamp as well)...we lived in our house for a decade before figuring out the random light switch in the front room by our entry door really DID work, LOL.(The outlet was behind a bookshelf and I wanted to put a lamp on the shelf but it wouldn’t turn on.One of the kids said what does this switch do?Flipped it and viola! Gosh for some or the other reason, I haven't been able to catch up with ur videos. But after so long, gosh does it feel good to hear u guys's voices. Love ur videos man. Love the family. And the kids are always such a love.
You guys are so funny. Maybe the reason your intercom doesn’t work is because the parts are missing from that hole in your front hallway hole behind the changing of the wolves picture!! Your cabinet door just needs to be adjusted at the hinges. Google it. Google how to patch a small hole in the wood floor. Like maybe wood epoxy or something? IDK! And the previous owner probably planned that toilet seat like that because she was sick of the guys and the ghost leaving the seat up all the time. So it slams down on that pecker. 😬. You are both home all the time, you could tackle a job a day or even one a week and make it your own. I am sure you love your home and this is just a video idea, but dude come on. Fix em. Patch that hole and put a prettier painting on your entrance wall. Cut a hunk of dry wall and tape it and mud it and sand it and paint it! Poof done.
Do we get an "Everything We Love About Our House" vlog too? This feels like the vlog where you complained about Chell and the animals as roommates, so fun! Sometimes you just have to let those frustrations out, lol!
I hope they see it too lol, I love watching the williams family. I started watching when Kristen was pregnant with chell because I was pregnant as well with my son Phinehas ( Finn for short) Any who, hope that could possibly fix one of the issues lol.
@@tinamarie2121 Yep. If it was a TV, I doubt a square hole in the wall would be that necessary to mount one. More like a intercom panel was removed. Why? Got no clue. My Aunt's house still has the intercom panel in her house that was built back in the 50s. She used it to wake the kids every morning back in the old days.

Hella positivity in this vlog. lol Maybe the light switch by the front door is for the light in the fan that is burnt out? And you can put candles in the fireplace instead and light those for aesthetics, but teach Chell not to touch or play near fire. Also, the awkward plug in above the hole in the kitchen is for a tv that isn't mounted there anymore.
Welcome to home ownership and all the projects that go with it! Here are a some hints for fixing a few of the things. When you buy wood putty to fix your floor, buy the kind that already has a stain color that matches. Use plain steel wool to fill the gap around plumbing to keep mice and other critters out. You can wrap the inside of the bathroom vent with tin foil. Hopefully it is the kind of vent with closing louvers, too. The Handy.com service sounds great! Check to see if that "do nothing" light switch activates the power to the outside outlets under the trees or an inside outlet. We had a switch by our front door that might have appeared to be a "do nothing" switch, but it activated the outlets in the eaves of the house for ease in turning on/off Christmas lights. The place we are in now has a "do nothing" switch by the door that activates a living room outlet for plugging a lamp into. That was a trend for awhile. M.
the cracking on the wall is known here in the midwest as the house settling its where the foundation needs work due to it shifting and becoming off balanced so it slowly cracks the house
@@LiveEachDay I think you saw the outside and no matter the consequence so like a dog wagging his tail in excitement, you took without the look. Silly.
When you look at a house you have rose colored glasses on. That’s why you always need to bring someone who isn’t looking for a house so they can see the little nuances.
Isn’t it amazing how many things you dont realize are there and also wrong with a house you’re shopping for until AFTER you drop hundreds of thousands of dollars on it? Yeah, I’m dealing with that too. 😩😆
and you lived in this house for how long now and all that isnt fixed??? lol Call Mr Safety for the wiring issues..........Im betting you called the WRONGGGGGGG CORY WILLIAMS! YOU called the Cory that starred in the art of being lazy!!!! Your welcome, glad I could help lmao

I can relate to this video. Love be having a roof done ver our heads. But would be awesome to custom build and design a home use of our own. Thank you Cory and Kristen for sharing.
Could the switch by the front door that seems to do nothing be hooked up to the light on the fan that isn't working right now? That seems like it would make a lot of sense.
Fun video. Definitely :D But I am worried about those electrics in your home. That would be the first thing on my list to get fixed. It seems old, and where it's nonfunctional it has me worried. Inspection time, definitely.
That hole in your kitchen wall is for the intercom system throughout your house, I have the exact same intercom system in my house. You can literally just replace the system and it’ll probably work 👌🏻
The upper wall outlet in the Kitchen is probably for an electric wall clock or some other electric decorational item. That way you don't have to get up there to change the battery, but you do have to change the time twice a year and after power outages.
Also, all those light switches that seem t do nothing might be connected to wall outlets that a lamp might be left plugged into, and on, so that when you flick the switch to the lamp it then turns the lamp on, or off. Test it out with each socket and I'll bet you will find that to be the case.
😂😂😂 the fun of being a home owner! We have been in our new house a little over a year now and have a list of things to fix about as long as yours lol. Oh!!! Also try the outlets for the light switches that don’t do any thing. We had that in our new house too and realized they where connected to outlets around the house. Handy for lamps or Christmas lights!
Ha! The issue with your lights is similar to me. The light switch for our living room is by the front door so at night when we go to bed we turn the living room light off and then have to grope our way across a pitch black room into the kitchen to where the stairs are. Want to turn the stair/landing light on? Good luck. There is a switch at the top and bottom of the stairs but for whatever reason it's been wired wrong so if you switch the light off upstairs you cannot switch it back on downstairs and vice versa.
LiveEachDay Renovations! I can’t wait to see Cory make the changes. At the very least patch all the holes and a curtain for the bathroom and an electrician to either fix or remove all of those intercoms, sensors, plugs, and switches that don’t work. The doors should be easy enough to fix so they aren’t slanted. BTW the intercom in working condition is good to have in the bathroom because if you run out of toilet paper or need a towel after your shower you can call out for help without needing your phone
Maybe the light switch by the door that does nothing is for all the outlets outside that do nothing? Have you tried turning the switch on and seeing if that works?
Who in the world designed this house?? Haha. Instead of a cleaning person, you need to hire a...I don't know, a fix-it person to just go through and re-wire things and cover pointless vents. (especially the one above the bed! I'd be more worried about brown recluse spiders dropping down then dust!) Anyway, Merry Christmas, guys! Love and light to you ^_^
@@scooterose100 If they can afford someone for cleaning, 1) they can spend time with the kids instead of doing it themselves. 2) that someone has a job!

we all have those things we friggin hate about our houses.. lol
Atlas you look so cute !
5:46 Why is the light switch on but then a second later it’s off, and shouldn’t the fan be on?
I loved this! Laughed all the way through. Then laughed harder when it was an advertisement. You guys are awesome!
If i've learned anything from this video its that Cory is an introverted bathroom user and i respect it
the cracking on the wall is known here in the midwest as the house settling its where the foundation needs work due to it shifting and becoming off balanced so it slowly cracks the house
I think you had to look for those details before buying your mansion!
Eduardo Padilla There’s so much more love than hate here.
@@LiveEachDay My intention was not hate at all, just saying, commenting.
This video is made in satire dude....
Funny 😆 I relate, so many things in my house are broken...but my fav part is Sparta at 9:12! 💕
3:56 You can't fit anything in there not even clothes.
4:21 I think you said you wanted to fix em up so when you're at work and it's dinner time Kristen can call you.
4:33 Why would there be one over the crapper.
8:57 Oh a vent over the bed. Bad idea.
💜 Rotating cabinet! Canned goods!
I had one and loved it! So much room in an easily reached space...
Loved this video :)
Thanks for the smile. We ALL have those things we ‘hate’ about our living space. They are there to teach us tolerance 😉
Fun video. Definitely :D But I am worried about those electrics in your home. That would be the first thing on my list to get fixed. It seems old, and where it's nonfunctional it has me worried. Inspection time, definitely.
Lol, I kinda wanna do my own spoof video of this. A house punch list...
I just laughed so hard at this. thanks, Corey.
Maybe if you clean out the lines the Vacuum portals will work better, but still it's a long way to go... and worse if it's all on the level.
A nice little tongue in cheek rant about all the little things in your home YOU haven't got round to fixing!!
Wait, what happened to the Doorbell you pefrected in Alaska?
You know... the one with the funny noises?
Where is that now? Does that Ring a Bell? lol
Merry Christmas!
Spray bottle with Dawn dish soap ,vinegar. Dr. Bronner hemp almond soap. Water. To clean all around the house
nice change up. shatters the illusion that vloggers have perfect lives. Please do a Everything I love about our house too
LiveEachDay Renovations!
Love and light to you ^_^
2 minutes in, and you've got me in tears, laughing my a** off!
🤣
My tub doesnt work either. But it doesn't have the nasty stuff you guys had.
I would love your house...
@@scooterose100 Cory has a job outside of the home. And that house is HUGE.
@@scooterose100
If they can afford someone for cleaning,
1) they can spend time with the kids instead of doing it themselves.
2) that someone has a job!
I feel the same about the house I'm living in, but thankfully I'm moving next month! So I hope everything gets better! Your house is gorgeouuus! you have an entire life for making it not so hateful, haha.
