It not easy catching these trains without a schedule. Sometimes we can get up to 9 different trains and like today, we only had 3 so far. We love our train videos in Clemson SC, Go Tigers!
I am from germany and these kind of shortline local operations are basically dead here since decades, because it is just way cheaper for the customers to ship via truck / road and the railroad lost tons of money with these local jobs. So why does this still exist in the U.S.? Wouldnt trucks bei cheaper too?
This is basically a loading area for lumber so this job stops here, and another Silicone plant farther down the line, and then heads back to a yard not too far from here, which is then put on a train to be shipped across the country. But about the trucks, the trucks drop off the lumber here to then be shipped by rail.
@@Sweetw4ter This line actually used to be way busier and longer, but over the years the line was being cut down and here we are with the line being around a mile long now only seeing 1 train a day. Hopefully it doesn't get abandoned any time soon.
Nice catch
Cool well done!
Well done. I remember when this branch ran out past McKnight road into Ladue and on. Can still see the right-of-way when passing on McKnight.
Wow thanks. I love not far from here. Thanks and now a subscriber.
Clean locomotives. Cool video
