I've always liked the Pig Sock Kite!
Excellent video Andrew... question about shortening the line @ ~:40 ... do you find that the larkshead slips during flight? I've found that I need to do an additional larkshead to keep the kite from slowly pulling excess line through the larkshead. (I hope that makes sense to you)
Kite Stop that is a reasonable point. With a 4.5m pilot and a mini pig, it would have to be blowing a storm for that to be a problem, but certainly, if I have any reason to be concerned, I would take additional steps, either by adding an additional larks head, tying a figure-8 knot to make a loop, or adding a couple of half-hitches. My emphasis this time was for simple and easy to get started :-)
What kite line are you using
These ones: tug.com/shop/displaykites/Lines/ the line in the video is a 2.5mm "pilot" line..
