Y’all are so cute. You are definitely the kind of people that I would love to hang out cruise so much fun. My boys and I are scheduled for a trip the end of June on the mereveglia, Can’t wait!!Super excited.
First time visiting your channel, but I LOVE y'all's way of doing these videos! The narration is fun and quick-paced, nothing outstays its welcome. I'm doing my first MSC (and my first yacht club) on the Meraviglia next year, and I feel as if your vid just confirmed my decision!
Hey Y’all! I’ve been waiting for this series and it’s here. I am a cruiser who loves MSC. I love a good deal and MSC delivers. YC is a whole other level and I’m so excited to see your reactions. I hope you had an Aperol Spritz for me 🥂
I love your comment about MSC plus. I felt the same way about Norwegian when we first did the haven. Everyone said once you go Haven you'll never go back, but I didn't believe it. My family and I are not big on fancy perks or staterooms, but Norwegian took what I consider the painful parts of cruising (embarkation, disembarkation, tendering) and took them away with haven. So now we do Haven whenever we can. I can't wait for you guys to do it so we can get your take on it.
Oh I've been waiting for this one. Impressed with the b2b procedure. Can't wait to see the rest. Will be on this ship in a couple of weeks. We booked an inside and were upgraded to a Deluxe Suite with balcony. Thank you!
@@richandvanessa6120 no, I told them what cabin we wanted and that was fine. About a week later I had called to make a payment which nobody seemed to be able to do 🤔. After calling every day for a week to try and get it taken care of because it was past final payment date. I finally got in touch with someone in a corporate office. He transferred me to someone else. They were able to get it done without an issue. When they sent my confirmation email I noticed the cabin was changed. Not sure how it happened.
I think I would take a basic balcony over an interior yacht club no matter how many benefits of yacht club there is. Seems like MSC definitely lacks on storage space. Thanks for the videos. Love ‘em all!!
I was kind of surprised at the Yacht Club cabin. It was almost identical to our Bella inner room. (Without the extras, of course.) No offense, but I think I liked your balcony room better. I loved the dinner area and the pool area...awesome! Great review...you folks are great!
The YC interior cabins are advertised as being up to 25% larger than a standard interior, if memory serves, but it felt about the same size as the Bella balcony cabin we'd just come from. We weren't in there a whole lot, so we didn't mind it!! :P
The specialty shows on MSC can be purchased in advance of the cruise for a discount. I paid $12/each by purchasing ahead of the cruise. The sound of the show (Music overpowering the singers) was a problem when we were on board the week prior. The sound board guy needs a little training on working those singers mics. I had to stop the video and go search Yacht Club prices. 😆 We did the Fantastica (?) experience so we could pick our balcony cabin. Overall, I will stick with Princess (Elite there).

We love the interior life! It's so dark and cool, and we sleep SO well in there, ha ha... plus, it helps us cruise more often, given the cost savings. We enjoy a balcony when we can get a good deal, but count us in for the deep dark cave on most cruises!! :D
We just booked the YC on this vessel for the December 30th sailing Today, we decided to "downgrade" from our YC deluxe suite to an inside YC on deck 16 as the 42% savings was too much to ignore We wanted to see this type of cabin and imagine our surprise when we saw 16012 which is our cabin!!
I guess I need to do a better job shopping, I've never seen YC for$250/night! I'm still as new as can be to the cruise scene though. I must say, the YC menus don't usually appeal to me, but tonight's selection selections would have made me happy.
This was very interesting and I’m glad you’re in the Yacht Club, a great experience. I’m booked for May out of NY, wondering if I can upgrade?? Anyway, regarding the paid shows with the acrobatics, not sure if I would ever pay for this. Most ships are doing these types shows for free. I saw an amazing acrobatic show not only on the Carnival Celebration but on the Celebrity Beyond as well. Those shows were amazing and free!!! So unless MSC adds something spectacular, I’ll just stick with the free shows.
Oh, I'm sure! They usually offer a bidding system where you might be able to gamble on buying into YC at a lower rate. Yes, we saw that circus show on Celebration, which was pretty fantastic, and we saw the shows back in Eden on Beyond. Love love love!! :D
I've been waiting for this one and you guys did not disappoint!!! We'll be sailing in the YC in FOUR days!!! LOL...I've been counting the days for about a month now. Can't wait for the rest of this series. We did book a balcony suite. It was more money but I think it was worth it. We have been getting upgrade emails but didn't take the offer. It was an extra almost $1,000 for the duplex suite w/hot tub on decks 9-12 which are not YC decks. The Royal Suite was almost $2,000 extra.
Great video, Jay and Dee. I have a sailing booked on the Meraviglia in June out of NY, this will be my 3rd MSC cruise. I really want to book the YC but i just don’t see the value for the extra $$. I already get the drink pkg with wifi in my fantasia package and we found the pool so small in the YC and i like to spend my days by the pool in the sun. I do like the pillow top mattress in yacht club, but still cannot justify cost, i like that you have your own dining room and lounge, but to be quite honest we have always enjoyed the main dining rooms, we have had great food and service in the past. Plus we really don’t spend that much time in our room, and i like to hang out where all the action is most of the time, so how often will i hang out in the YC lounge? To each there own, im still thinking about it but this video is helping me in making an informed choice😊
Thankee! It's definitely not for everyone, and we've thoroughly enjoyed the regular experience on most all MSC ships we've tried... other than this one, ha ha. I guess the main perks like you said are the wi-fi and drinks if you didn't already have them included... then there's the more upscale menu in the dining room, easy access snacks in the lounge, free access to the thermal suite in the spa whenever you like, butler and concierge service, chocolates on the pillows, little things like that. So those things probably wouldn't be too much of a draw in your case, plus you'd be spending time at the larger pool, etc. Hope you have an amazing cruise!! :D

No, we booked the Bella experience the first leg and the Yacht Club experience the second leg, both arranged ahead of time. We wanted to compare the two directly!! :D
Hi,I watch all your videos and love them all! I see you have just sailed on the MSC Meravilglia? My son is taking me on it in May for my 70th! and I am having trouble finding out certain things? Thought you may help us? How is gratuity paid? How much daily? Can you wear a back pack in addition to a carry-on? Love the show. Keep the amazing content coming!
Thankee! Yes, this video is technically day five of our overall experience onboard MSC Meraviglia. The gratuities were $14.50/day for the "standard" levels and $14/day for Yacht Club, as far as I recall. Carry-on plus backpack is perfectly fine... in fact, we took a overhead carry on, a smaller underseat bag, AND a backpack each when we went!! :D
hello, new to your channel, Im very new at cruising, have no idea about the yacht club or any club for that matter. never cruised before so lots of guestions...
Going on MSC a couple times, Yacht club seemed to be a completely different experience especially if you are looking to have a RELAXING time. Completely isolated areas with little to no kids, bars are always empty, day beds available in the solarium. Its just too much of a price difference.
I really enjoyed this vlog. 😊. It looked so fun to swim on embarkation day. The food in the Yacht club looked great. Do you think it was better than main dining room food? The Rock Circus was GREAT! I hope to one day to see it. Do you think you’ll do Yacht Club again? ~ Inge 😺
Thankee! Especially on Meraviglia, the food was better in YC than the MDR, yes. We also did YC on Divina and the food was pretty spectacular overall!! :D

It's going to ask about you planning a vacay for two of my friends and me on MSC. But 😢. No new clients. I know food has a very very poor reputation, but other than that it looks like a good Cruise.
I have never sailed on MSC, but I have watched several videos on the regular MSC cabins, including Parodee Jay's before they moved to the Yacht Club. The food they had on that part of the cruise looked pretty awful. The food that is served in the Yacht Club looks wonderful.
Hi Dee, Hi Jay just a quick question....is there a reason why u guys don't shop in the stores on board? And also out on excursions. I only see yall buy food if it's not included in the excursions. We don’t get onboard credit just because we travel frequently, so anything we buy is typically just our it pocket, hah.
