Going on a 10 day Davina march 26 booked. Upcoming world America and seashore before then. Been on meravigia and Magnifica. We got off Quantum of the seas last May and my wife said to me "I miss MSC"
lol I wouldn't have waited to go down either, I let the muster on tv run as we are listening with one ear and unpacking what we carried on, run the shower and sink drain to clear the lines, flush the toilet a time or 2 (recommended to do by several cabin stewards).
We do stay in contact with their PR department, but they've never said anything out of the ordinary in regards to video practices. We've just been able to do how we always do on any other cruise line. It seems that the B&D issue was initiated by a fellow guest rather than MSC themselves, but we don't know all the details there.
They were in the Yacht club not a regular area which is, IMHO, what was the big issue with a fellow cruiser. I think the issue is more on that cruiser and their motivation as if you watch their video's they are generally pretty good at not showing folks if they can help it. Just like Dee and Jay. They also were in the Yacht club on a cruise and didn't show anything different. Personally, I think it was an issue of bias for the relationship aspect BUT That is ONLY my thought and in no way indicates that was the issue presented.
Divina back in 2022 was the first MSC cruise that felt like they were trying to appeal to the U.S. audience, and we found that interesting. We really enjoyed the ship overall!! :D
MSC are bottom of our cruise list after our recent trip, interesting to see this series from you both as a comparison. We sailed on the Divina start of this year, terrible experience. Food cold in the buffet, terrible selection. kitchen staff were about as pleasant as a bucket of manure. restaurant was only fair. MSC messed up our booking and we had to make do without a disabled room (despite booking in advance). Case of one blaming the other (head office vs ship). housekeeping was wonderful, (as always) and other than that cruise being free would never sail with them again. Except for a heavy discount. Shame as the Seashore was a fantastic experience.
They need to shrink wrap the chandeliers when Jay is on an MSC ship. Also they need to specify that you don't get loyalty on cruises shorter than 4 days..
We were just on the Magnifica three night cruise out of Miami and we got a free specialty restaurant for our status but that ship doesn’t have Butchers Cut. Twice now we weren’t able to get off the ship til we went to guest services to square our account even though we did everything to make sure our cc was registered, etc. Hope your MSC 3 night out of Miami was better than ours. We saw many things on that cruise that we can’t unsee. In 28 years of cruising never experienced outrageously bad guest behavior like that. Never again for us.
We were supposed to sail Magnifica a couple of weeks ago, but canceled it to make other plans. I think the short spring break cruises get crazy just about everywhere on the affordable cruise lines! We've decided that short MSC cruises aren't for us, but we still enjoy the longer MSC experience overall!! :P

So glad to see you all are having a good time!! Love your blogs, but after the horrible way Ben and David was treated on MSC I would never cruise on that cruise line. Shame on them. Much Love to you 2…
From what we've gathered, their issue was guest-driven, in that it was a fellow guest who asked MSC management to step in and ask the vlogging to stop. MSC's immediate response seemed to be very abrupt and didn't land well, which was unfortunate. We've only had that happen once before at a land-based resort, but the management was very nice about things, reviewed our footage, and we were allowed to continue vlogging. Never any issues onboard a ship as of yet, fortunately. Yow!!
Just before you say goodnight you should say "if you liked this video hit the like button". I think a lot of people just forget to hit the like (I have forgotten a couple of times). And I love your videos.

I’m a avid fan of your UA-cam videos. But, I noticed that you are deliberately not videoing other people. I’m a fan of you both, but, hoping that you’re not changing your techniques because of MSC.
We've always tried to avoid videoing other people whenever we can on any cruise line we sail, just out of respect. Nothing to do with MSC or any of our friends' experiences!! :P
@@parodeejay, I’ve been a fan of yours for years. But, for you to totally disrespect a fellow vlogger is just horrific. You’re going to lose fans for this move. And, I’ll be the first. If you were in Ben and David’s place and they did this to you, I would leave them alone. But, for you to go on MSC after the craziness and to tell someone else that because they were complaints from passengers about being on camera. I’m appalled by your statements to others that asked you the same question I asked. Ben and David would’ve never disrespected you in that way. Shame on you…. @@parodeejaythanks guys I appreciate it, I have always enjoyed MSC and sail frequently on a lot of their newer ships so I was interested in something a little bit older, I know MSC screwed up in handling Ben and David’s situation I just don’t think we need to burn MSC at the stake for it, things can happen and this could have happened on any cruise line with staff (and it seems MSC is trying to rectify the situation at a higher level now with emails going back and forth), personally I have always found the staff on MSC to be very nice and lovely
Where do you live that you drive to the cruise terminal ?
We're near Virginia Beach, so a quick 15-hour drive to the port of Miami!! :P
@@parodeejay We live on the oceanfront in Virginia Beach… About two years ago we started driving to the ports of Florida… Up until then we flew… I'm not a great car passenger though lol… love all of your videos… They are very informative and helpful 🚢❤️🚢
What happened to the jubilee videos
We haven’t sailed Jubilee!! :D
I would be right at guest services, not dealing with hostess
We checked with them as well, and the answer was no.
@parodeejay the weekend cruiser was on the divina, 3 day cruise and he said he got his diamond dinner at steakhouse aka butchers cut.
Daaaaang, we got two NOs from the hostess and one NO from guest services. Strange that it's so unpredictable!!
Canadian would be a lot of eh
whew, at least the people that showed up on the video did not complain about you (i know you try NOT to video people)
We've only had that happen once before at a land-based resort in Florida, but the management was very nice about things, reviewed our footage, and we were allowed to continue vlogging. Never any issues onboard a ship as of yet, fortunately. Yow!!
Love the video, but MSC cruises no no no no
We've enjoyed our various MSC experiences overall, since we always enjoy something a little "different", but some of their customer service interactions are a bit odd sometimes, ha ha... :P
Maybe you should have sailed on the Independence that day to see the better lead singer of Van Halen. Then again, for all the mean things you say I bet Sammy would have your boarding denied. Sammy is better than Dave.
You Really Got Me wanting to Jump on a DLR cruise now! Maybe we can find one going to to Panama, and Dance The Night Away until we arrive. We'll try not to get Unchained and party too much, or we'll be Runnin' With The Devil!! :P
@@parodeejay why can't this be any love towards Sammy. This needs to change right now!
The theatre looked rather empty for the Beatles show. Disappointing.
I will watch the vlogs because I love you guys but MSC is shady at best and their customer service is nonexistent. I won’t be giving them my business ✌️
We've enjoyed our various MSC experiences overall, since we always enjoy something a little "different", but some of their customer service interactions are a bit odd sometimes, ha ha... :P
Agree
I’m a avid fan of your UA-cam videos. But, I noticed that you are deliberately not videoing other people. Is it because you spoke with management and they told you NOT to record others or is it because you saw what Ben and David went through with their managers?
The things we do for attention and credits. I’ve watched your videos and you intentionally avoided people and mostly filmed when you were alone with Dee. Watch your own videos and see the difference. You have disrespected a great team and it’s sad if you think you are right.
Our cruise was before B&D’s and we’ve had this series scheduled for weeks. After B&D’s latest update stating that they’ve accepted MSC’s apology and full refund, and will be working with MSC to create policies to help vloggers in the future, and that they are potentially okay with sailing MSC themselves in the future, I would hope that folks are able to move past this customer service hiccup, as B&D themselves now have. ~Jay
@@parodeejay, you really ought to look at all your replies because you’re telling us different answers to the same questions. Because Ben and David hasn’t really forgave MSC and the lame excuses that MSC gave in their letter to them was horrific and any fellow vlogger has understood and stood by them. But, youuuu, nooo. You think your time on the MSC ship is more important than what they went through. Look at your other videos on any ship and see the difference. Dee’s walking on camera through empty spaces and you both in an empty spaces. Other vlogger are showing what happened to them and you show yourself on MSC but in a more different approach. You’ve told people here that you sailed on MSC before the Ben and David and that they forgave MSC. And, you stated that you always check with management before you board a ship. Get your facts straight and stop being a fool for MSC. Because, it doesn’t appear that you are friends with B&D. You’re selfish and self centered and the only person I feel sorry for is Dee. Because, she’s caught in the middle of your drama. They need to keep their Dees away from you. I chose B&D over you and your sad excuse for publication of your MSC tour.
So have MSC asked you to stop filming like Ben & David.
Yow!!
That show seemed pretty bad, I can see why no one there🤦🏻♀️ guessing on a cheap 3 day it’s drinking and gambling🤷🏻♀️
Sucks Ben and David couldn't do this
Why put other people's drama on their review? 😢
We've only ever had one time where a fellow guest complained about our video-ing and required management to investigate us, and that was at a land resort in Florida. Never an issue on the high seas for us as of yet, fortunately!!
@@dgaither3838 maybe because it’s not drama but instead it is something that needs to have a lot of attention focused on it right now. Because what happened to Ben and David could happen to Jay and Dee the next time. This is their livelihood!
@@pamelabrauer9450it could happen on any cruise line this was not just a MSC issue, it was a bad staff interaction, there are still lots of people interested in MSC and if you watch their videos they go on MSC quite frequently and never have any issues
@@parodeejayben and David are bit more out there I think and you guys take pains to never film other guests where possible, which being someone who wouldn’t like to be filmed ever let alone on holiday appreciates for others like me
A joy to see you two this morning!
It wouldn't surprise me if MSC lied to you about diamond and butchers cut.
Sadly, their loyalty terms & conditions state that they don't have to honor anything on any sailing, anytime, anywhere. We'd never seen that paragraph before, ha ha... :P
@@parodeejaymsc is all glitter on the outside but sadly no substance on the inside
Screw MSC after how they treated B&D. I like your videos, but going to pass on watching these videos on MSC.
Sadly, that only hurts us and doesn’t hurt MSC a bit, but you do what you feel is right. ~Jay
@@parodeejay, LIAR, MSC never offered a FULL REFUND. Stop lying to us. And, B&D never excepted their half Azz apology. Wow, you’ll say anything about B&D to make yourself look good. I use to enjoy your vlogs until now and am happily removing myself from your fan club. Because, you have shown who you really are…..a loser that wants to not care about other vlogger’s feeling and kisses up to a failing cruise ship company.
@RBUDD16 This comment doesn't even warrant a response, so I'll just say thanks! Wishing you happy future travels and digital wanders that don't include ours!! :D ~Jay
@@parodeejay, whatever you need to tell yourself. You’re a flake kissing up to MSC trying to make B&D look bad. But, you’re the one looking crazy for kissing up to MSC.
@RBUDD16 you need to go look at B&D's post.
Jay is right. He basically just repeated what B&D themselves posted.
You are wrong, and owe Jay an apology.
