They literally don't have the ability to think in a complex manner. It really is shame. It doesn't happen to all young mothers but the big difference is what type of support they have and the quality of these people. Not being judgemental but it is an unfortunate situation.

I don't think he meant it like that, she already wanted the riskier surgery, not like he was trying to convince her to do the riskier surgery. She almost died from her last surgery not because of the risk of the surgery itself, but because of negligence on the surgeons part. I think he was just trying to reassure her. Geez people.

I wanted some cosmetic surgery after my 2nd cesarean and had the same type of "predatory" response from the doctor. Thankfully I knew he was just trying to "sell" more surgery but it sure did some damage to my already low self esteem.

That’s what I thought about giving birth. It was my bone and only pregnancy and after I was sent home, the pain hit me and I thought to myself that I was always going to be in pain. I took things slow and pain became less and less each day but then I remembered why I was in pain…it was to meet my son.
I too will follow these women in a cosmetic surgery journey and just like my labor, I know I’ll have to go through pain to get better.

If a womann gives birth to your child, it is normal her body changes. Real man understands this and respects it. Only a coward cheats on mother of his children because her body has changed!!!
I remeber my grandparents. The best wedding photo in the family collection, the best looking couple I saw, really. My grandma was the most amazing girl in the area with a very small frame, very light weight with a perfect, beautiful face. My grandpa fell for her looks but then fell in love with her inner self as well :) After she had my dad, she changed drastically: gained weight all over her body and face and never got back to her original fit shape. But guess what? My grandpa, extremely handsome himself, never cheated on her. Till their last days together he looked at her with adoration and love. Seeing him in his 70s looking at her as a teenager would look at his sweetheart made my heart melt. He was grateful for everything my grandma did for him. She gave him four children and not once he thought of disrespecting her. She never got back to her princess looks but he saw past through it. Although they were a very traditional couple with her as a stay-at-home mom, every time she gave birth, he took a month of leave at work to help her out and take care of the newborn baby and make sure she recovers. (1960s, mind you!) He called her all sorts of endearments and they still had the spark between them in their 70s! Still kissing and holding hands! That is a real man to me. Not a cheater who cannot understand the way nature works and be grateful to the mother of his children for the sacrifice she made.
The idea of that woman going under knife because her husband cheated on hear makes me angry and makes me want to cry... It is such a shame she risked her life and health to please some kind of a jerk and his undreal expectations!

I think it’s stupid that there are so many celebs on the covers of magazines or online like “how I got my pre baby body back” like women are EXPECTED to go through childbirth after the physical trauma and weight gain and are expected to just bounce back to how they were. My son is now 16 months old, I show no signs of ever reverting back to how I used to be, whereas my friends all got back to normal within mere months. It really depends on so many things, starting from each woman's own body, body type, size of the baby, how you gave birth, how recovery was and if you've gained, maintained or lost weight afterwards. I know for a fact I am never ever going to be back to my old self ever again. I'm okay with that, but telling someone to just "wait" does not work in every case.
