Coming from someone with chronic pain, I cannot understand the body modification of people that do not care about the repercussions of pain. For “beauty”. I can’t.

I am a retired nurse. Addiction is a huge problem with physicians but no one wants to report for fear of repercussions. I went from getting outstanding evaluations to being asked to resign because I wouldn’t cover up the lack of response by the doctors on a very critical patient. I ended up having to intervene. It devastated me because I’d worked there 18 years. But God got me to a better place with much better physicians and a significantly higher pay rate. They even modified my job the last 4 years because my health was deteriorating.
Dr´s should stop doing plastic surgeries on patients with mental disorders.
How on earth does the doctor tell a person that in order to fix a double chin you have to put an implant??
What happened to weight loss and calorie control? That is how you fix a bloody double chin.

I bet this chin doctor was board certified in Turkey or the Dominican republic or something where you get it done cheaper! Just pay more and get things done right and use your common sense. When a doctor tells you they need to do lip and chin implants to fix a double chin any reasonable person will run! OR seek a second opinion !
I knew someone whose friend delivered heroin to doctors at a certain location (huge hospital in so. Cal.) - so it was pretty evident something was going on. no one said anything.......imagine these doctors performing surgeries on someone. nurses too, I am sure. a woman who lives in a nursing home who still is mentally competent and coherent noticed her pain pills were being switched to tylenol. she reported it, that she wasn't being given her pain meds but tylenol instead. (*crickets). many of the "residents" have dementia so they wouldn't be able to say anything nor tell but they would be in pain instead.........so there is that.
The addiction rate with physicians, pharmacists, & veterinarians is extremely high.
Body dysmorphic disorder is a mental health condition in which you can't stop thinking about one or more perceived defects or flaws in your appearance.
My daughter suffers with body dysmorphia and it's heartbreaking because she's beautiful ❤😊

My brother in law is a plastic surgeon. He said the most gratifying surgery he does is breast reduction.

I feel bad for the last one. Because she did it because of loosing weight and was trying to get rid of sagging skin and wanted a little butt left.
But he did her dirty and she didn't know plastic surgery wasn't something he specialized in, and that she was his first patient to perform plastic surgery.
