You two are never afraid to step into the underground or the alternative nation for something new. Been listenig to these guys for years. GREAT live shows.
A Cuban influence is strong in a lot of The Mavericks' music. But they are also Tex Mex, country and pop/soul. My favorite song of theirs is still the romantic ballad, "O, What A Thrill". My favorite band of the last 20 years!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!! One of the most underrated singers..Raul Malo is in my top 5 of all time. Great share guys!! Dig deeper in the Mavericks and to Raul’s solo stuff.
The ultimate kick it up party band. Anybody doesn’t move to this stuff has already left us. We don’t hear them on the “reactions” channels very often so kudos to whoever raised their hand, iieeeeyaaa!
They have an immediately identifiable sound with the unique rhythms & Raul Malo’s voice. (Fun fact: Their bassist, Robert Reynolds’s, was married to Trisha Yearwood before she married Garth Brooks.)
Go see them live. You'll be glad you did. They are amazing on all fronts. You don't need anything but your ears and your dancing shoes. I'm headed to show # 20 in September. Trust me...run, do not walk. ✌🏽
So glad you like this! Their music is almost impossible to put a label on. But it's all great! Check out their Springsteen cover of "All that heaven will allow". They make it all their own!
It's awesome you guys did some Mavericks. A couple more songs to check out by them are "Back In Your Arms Again", "As Long As There's Lovin' Tonight", and "All You Ever Do Is Bring Me Down". Now you two need to check out The Texas Tornados, "Who Were You Thinking' Of", "Is Anybody Goin' To San Jose", "Adios Mexico" and "Little Bit Is Better Than Nada".
BJ was doing some chair dancing! The Mavericks are such a fun band to watch, a real party band. Everyone in the group is a fantastic musician. The lead singer, Raul Malo, has a great voice and is especially good on ballads. He’s done some solo stuff as well, along with some great Roy Orbison covers.
I saw these guys at Fan Fair their rookie season. I signed up for their fanclub right after they performed. I'm so glad y'all enjoyed their fusion of styles.
Love to see you reacting to them. You need to check out some of their live performances. They are hands down the best live performers out there. If there was ever a band I’d follow around it would be them.
Hi Asia & BJ, I'm a Musician and I've met the main guys several times because my Friend and I know them when the main Musicians were Singer Raul Malo, Guitarist Eddie Perez, Drummer Paul Deakin, Piano Jerry Dale McFadden and Bassist Robert Reynolds ( no longer with the band). So many Great songs like What a Crying Shame, O What A Thrill, All You Ever Do Is Let Me Down, Dance the Night Away and Many More😎
@@richstrobel I know Eddie more than the other guys but we're all Friends. I first heard the song What a Crying Shame in 1993 and I was hooked but Eddie didn't join them until 2003
You just listened to one of the best instrumental and vocally solid bands, who are the most underrated in the music industry. Period! Listen to "Recuerdos" by them. Not to mention others.
Tex-Mex with little Cuban flare. God I hope talk-to-text doesn't butcher this but yet Raul mallya phenomenal I loved new Mavericks it was such an all over the place kid when they came out I had this album

Maverick- Crying Shame!
Maverick’s debut single and introduction in Country Music.
A great body of work by this band, including Raul Malo's solo efforts. 👍
Yes indeed!

I love the vibe of this song. It's something you could listen to over and over.

Raul Malo’s voice is so beautiful and powerful

One of my favorite albums by any band in the last decade.
Underated band. So many influences , you name it.
Mavericks re did motley crue’s Dr Feelgood. Check that out!
The Mavericks have had a Tejano flair in most of the songs but it's all fire !
Oh what a thrill
Still my favorite Mavericks song!
Love this! I haven’t heard of them before strangely enough
I saw these guys at Fan Fair their rookie season. I signed up for their fanclub right after they performed. I'm so glad y'all enjoyed their fusion of styles.

I'd never heard the Mavericks, and I really enjoyed this😊
I showed the same reaction when I heard this song for the first time ❤
Check out the live version of this at the Americana Awards.
Oh What A Thrill and what a crying shame three of my favorite songs
SUCH an under appreciated band!!
VERY underrated band 🎶🎵 Raul Malo can sing his face off!!
Listening to some of their songs it's like a combination of Dwight Yokum with Los Lobos.
Saw the. 3 times. Really good. Really fun music
There's also a great Spanish language version of this song ("Ven Hacia Mi").
Excellent live or Video 50s threw 80s 😊
They remind me of the Texas Tornados...check them out. You will already know the artists.
May I suggest another couple of tracks. Dance the night away and Back in your arms again. Both cracking songs.
I always pictured Elvis singing this in one of his elaborate movie scenes.
I remember the lead singer having a Spanish name.
Tex-Mex with little Cuban flare. God I hope talk-to-text doesn't butcher this but yet Raul mallya phenomenal I loved new Mavericks it was such an all over the place kid when they came out I had this album
A little Santana flavour
He also dated Trisha Yearwood before she hooked up with Garth Brooks. If y’all haven’t listened to her music yet, then I highly recommend that you do.
The Mavericks Here comes the rain, please
Eddie Perez......
If your looking for more gifted music. Try Debbie Gibson. Lots of it. Start with rhythm and ryme
Don't kill me but I think the song title is all you do is bring me down fire
