Probably just as hard on the truck undercarriage as driving on salted roads in Canada in winter.

This looks such a wonderful series. Just waiting and hoping that the BBC brings it to Hulu plus U.S.A. So I can watch the full programmes.

Glad you pointed that out, auto-correct and I very well know the spelling of quite. James May saw the curvature of the Earth in the Botswana special, so it isn't quite a stretch to visualize a curving horizon. Hope you aren't a tin foil earth flatter.

***** Of course it's easy to visualize a curve :P I have "seen" it in sea BUT I am not sure as well because the curve is so subtle that it could very well be your eyes or mind telling you there is a curve cause u expect that there should be one :D

Lets make this very simple, 100 miles of flat water, no waves, or distortions, and about 6000 feet of curvature drop missing, i dont believe the earth is flat but i have reasonable questions now, there's no way that should not be visible. I have to see this with my own eyes, trip time!👍

    Why is it so dangerous

    • @fastpctv991

Shifra Zonana Hi Shifra, it is very dangerous to be exposed to high concentrations (amounts) of salt over time; even a few hours. The longer you stay the worse you get. Why? Because salt is very harsh on the body, it dries you out very quickly (dehydration). It will burn your eyes, nasal passages, lungs, make your throat very sore, possibly give you a bloody nose and/or bleeding lungs. To much salt in your system can cause high-blood pressure, leading to memory problems, confusion, and at the worst , strokes and heart-failure.Increased blood pressure can cause your blood vessels to weaken and bulge, forming an aneurysm. If an aneurysm ruptures, it can be life-threatening. Thickened, narrowed or torn blood vessels in the eyes. This can result in vision loss. Very hard on your skin. It is corrosive to just about anything organic; that's why nothing lives there, no plants, no insects nor animals. Very, very cold at night, very hot in the day. No shelter from the wind or sun. Very bright and blinding. You will need lots and lots of water to stay alive, but that will only help you a little bit. Basically, you can't stay there for very long, it will kill you. Buy remember, your body does need some iodine to live, eat good Himalayan salt in your food if possible.
