In spite of all or any design flaw whether is the string tension at the neck or cable jack placement etc, it’s a well build guitar for the price tag. I am definitely getting my hands on one of these kickass 100% metal guitar. Reasons are plain simple love the band the music and of course Michael Amott. Hope I am able to purchase this in my area. Thanks for the video dude !!!
I have the old Bloodstorm model V. It's got that same input placement. Get a 90 degree input jack. Then you can plug in either a cable or wireless and you'll be fine.............
That is so cool, great review i own a tryant x splatter...and got it signed by the current arch enemy lineup...ive been wanting to upgrade to the tyrant bloodstorm but it is so hard to find now. 😢 or i just may get a tyrant pickup and throw in my current model...decisions decisions lol
Thanks triple G. I'll just put D'Addario 10s on until I upgrade the nut. Hopefully that will stay in decent enough tune for the dog. Would like Michaels signature strings on it for Pete sake. Love the look of these Amott guitars. (He pronounces his own name as A-mott so I go with that.) LOL. Smooth fret ends above all are important to me right from the factory. I would just cry. So thank you!
LOL I didn't realize MA has sig strings? Yeah the guitar ain't perfect but for what it costs, I do think it punches above its weight. Metal on brother!
Update on my last comment - The Tyrant with War Eternal graphics on Musicians Friend is now unavailable. I hope I'm not the only one who got this great guitar for such a great price!
Musicians Friend has the War Eternal graphics Tyrant model for $199 right now. Don't know if it's a pricing error or what but everywhere else they're $359 to $499 Just a heads up guys
Cool guitar,....I know this will seem kind of redundant to say,......but I have 3 - 79ML's and 3 - 79V Dean guitars without locking trem's,....I replaced all the standard Grover's with roto-locking Grover's,...it solves the tuning problems,.....I have not idea why Dean dosn't do this on all their V type head-stock's,....they only cost an extra $ 15 over the standard 3x3 Grovers,....it would also make the guitars play better out of the box,.....by the way, I kind of think it's cool that they make a V guitar out of the box that dosn't have the issue with the tone knob accidentally going down all the time,...also since the invader style pick-up is not for everybody,...it probably better that have 2 standard Dean pickups in the guitar.
Great review many thanks , I had bouhgt yesterday this Dean guitar by his look. I like very much. Afrer of see your review Same I return it and I bought Jackosn Js32 king V , do you play this guitar? It i better that desn tyrant? Thabks sir
When you talk about the tune stability with this guitar, i rally don't think this problem is just by the headstock desing... Few years ago i bought the Tyrant X Splatter and this guitar was IMPOSSIBLE to mantain the tune too, BUT i also have one V model from Michael Schenker, who has THE SAME headstock shape like this one and the one of Schanker NEVER loose the tune, i can play it and make bendings and other stuff and the guitar always is in the correct tune... So i think the problem with those Amott model could be maybe a mistake in the design of the guitar but just with this model... Because if this were a problem with the headstock shape, the Schenker model mine would have the same problem with the tune stability and this not happend with it
Very nice insight, thanks! As you know, it would be more than just one thing in terms of tuning stability. The way a nut is cut, tuner heads used, and others will come into play inevidently. Who knows what went on between the models LOL!! Thank you for your time watching, I really appreciate your time and your comment. Have a great day Hubert!
@@GhostRiderGGG I have the tyrant x splatter (the cheapest white one) and I was going out of tune everytime until I both tighten the screws of the mecanics and change the nut for a low action bone nut. Now the guitar rings better and don't go easily out of tune (but the intonation is not perfect following the frets...)
This is an awesome review.. I love the look of this guitar, the finish looks amazing, but although the headstock is amazing it's not a very good design
diablos suena horrible no se si es por la forma de tocar o la guitarra es una porqueria pero ya viendo otros videos voy a decir que es la forma de tocar
Often (if not always) Dean puts out limited runs of USA guitars that cost thousands of $ and then make import versions a little less spec'ed but still good. Those are imported from South Korea, China and Indonesia.
lame shit guitar, honestly. design flaws, tuning instability, weak wood (fretboard as you can see), what could be more to be worst at a time when you can get so good guitars in 2017? dean guitars are a disgrace, make absolute toys for kids with no quality for the price at all (except custom shop of course) based only in looks.

C standard not drop C. I also completely agree with your statement about the input placement. It is awful for sitting.

Arch Enemy plays in standard C

My tone knob is always all the way open, with both guitar and bass, I could probably live without it
Great video brother, and real nice playing!
Thanks Anthony!

The inlays are called ‘valknuts’ - Norse representation of Oden
I love when I learn new things!!! Thanks John! That is WAY cool!
*Odin
mine has cable socket on the upper arm 🤔

Made in China?
Hi Death! Yes this one is from China.

nunofrg toys for kids? Are you shitting me? The Dave Mustaine guitars that I’ve played are great, along with the higher end models.
alot of dean artists hint that custom shops are the only good guitar dean make
