    this video is not only cool for the carving, but also great for comparing the different ways video can cover large amounts of time. I didnt realize until this how much I liked stop motion for covering large amounts of time.

    Can't believe you don't have a million subscribers Chris. I found your website thru Mr. Chickadee. You like him put out well thought out content with little to no talking. It's so much better listening to the sounds of tools working the wood and any nature when outside. I love all your videos for their creativity with all the planning, hard work and detailed execution.     Chris I absolutely love what you did with that slab but at 01:10 when you split that log I almost bit my lip in half. I could see a huge set of ram horns almost complete staring at me from the top of that log and thought, "man that would look so cool above your Game of Thrones throne". I can't believe you didn't see it.

    Amazing skill. Very nice piece. But why do you cover the wood with clothes? I understand the floor to aid clean up, but you have the wood covered like it's awaiting surgery?

      I put down the black sheet because I was taking photo’s for the time lapse. It reduces the glare.

    Wow this piece of art is amasing !! But at the same time i’m torne that this piece of wood was not made as a table or small jewlerie boxes etc ... What are you going to do with the rest of the tree ? Can’t wait to know lolll

      The other half will probably be another carving. I used some of the walnut to make a bowl.

    Can you do a review on the carving tools you used??
    I want to buy a kit but dont know where to start😕
