  • Stars of the film Fantasy Football, Kelly Rowland and Marsai Martin came through HOT 97 to discuss a variety of topics with Ebro, Laura Stylez & Rosenberg.
Marsai Martin discusses some of the comments on social media as fans and the audience see her grow up in front of their eyes including about her appearance at a recent Fenty Savage show. She also discussed whether growing up as an actress has made her miss the fact she has not had the "typical" teenage experience, as well as her decision to produce this most recent film and act as well.
Kelly Rowland discusses her decision to go into acting, motherhood and having her 7-year-old understand she's acting and not really kissing other men. She also addresses comparisons of women against each other including her own accomplishments against Beyoncé.
Fantasy Football is streaming on Paramount+ on November 25.

I am speaking as a very big Beyoncé stan; Can these interviewers please stop mentioning Beyoncé in Kelly Rowland interviews and stop using Beyoncé name in the title for clickbait? This has been an ongoing issue for years and it needs to stop. I get it, they were in one of the biggest groups of all time but Kelly Rowland is her own artist and own person, focus on her without mentioning Beyonce!

Kelly Rowland is a Grammy Award Winning, NY Times Best Selling Author, with MULTIPLE Platinum selling records, movie accolades, production credits to name a few accomplishments. All of which have come solely to her without contribution from previous bandmates (check her stats). We don't have to belittle one person's accomplishments because another person has received more. She deserved a bit better in this interview when recognizing her accolades. God Bless

I’m so happy she’s never felt or saw herself as less than. She doesn’t deserve to always be pit against her best friend and she doesn’t deserve the projections people put on her. Kelly is an amazing light. I hope people understand how that question can be harmful. I wish they would’ve asked more questions about the project. The outside world tried to project that on Kelly that she’s second to Beyoncé. She just saw herself in a girl group with her friends. That’s how I viewed them. Beyoncé was the team captain much like in cheerleading ,no one is thinking the Captain is better than the team they just lead the team.
