I'm 42 and realized I've been stuck in the 90's musically. I decided to start doing something about it. Heard this song on Alt Nation and thought the way the guy sang was interesting. Great chours. I got my teenage children listening to the song now. That's how underground bands gain notoriety, at a grassroots level. Good luck 888.
There are studies that show that we will always enjoy the music we listened to during our most formative period, which is at 14 years, the most. For you that would be 1990. That's completely natural.
Dan Marshall just heard this song today. I used to listen to the singers old band Drop Dead, Gorgeous. It was looks a hardcore/ metalcore band. I was looking to see if he was doing any new music elsewhere and found this. I’m glad I did because I love it!
Dezibell, that’s interesting. That was 1992 for me. I like the stuff I grew up with a lot and for awhile I listened to nothing but 80’s music. For me though, as an adult now I find that there’s nothing better than the music we have today, and although my favorite band has been my favorite band since it’s inception in 1998, I still constantly seek out new music and find that I’m always making these terrific new memories linked to that music. This song is actually one of them and I can remember the first time I heard it. I guess I’ve always had a deeper connection with music than most people and I’ve also been a musician for over 30 years now. The only genre that I get really nostalgic for and think really peaked in the late 70’s and early 80’s was the electronic genre. We have some great electronic acts today, like Moonlight Cove and B! Machine, but for me, nothing will ever hold a candle to Depeche Mode circa ‘84-‘92, OMD circa ‘78-‘83, Fad Gadget and Kraftwerk. Those bands are legendary, and some of OMD’s early songs are still some of the best music I’ve ever heard in my life.
Why isnt this band really popular? This is officially my new favorite band and I played this song over the intercom for my entire school. This is my love. Thank you
My Critical Mistake was being thrown away when I was born by my birth family. The pain never goes away. I like the hope this song gives those of us who have experienced tragedy in our lives. That time heals all wounds.
These people are underrated. They are good, but people haven't realized it yet. Give them time. This band will grow once more people realize how good their music is.
I dedicate this song to my 3 babys so far...I'm sorry i couldn't escape my critical mistakes fast enough to be a great mom to you. Someday i hope you will forgive and understand and that all the wisdom i gain until then can help me become better. There was so much i couldn't handle and change then. One thing that never wavered though was my love for you. Nor my dream, and wish for you to have better then the generations before. To the baby that is coming now... I only pray to whomever is above that i can be the mother you deserve and that i am finally ready.
A brave person has the courage to forgive and move on, to let go the pain and stop searching a revenge, we all must come to that point in our lives to stop looking at the past.... sadly is not my moment yet...
Forgiveness isn't just good for the person you forgive, but for the person wronged too. To forgive frees both from the shackles of the past allowing you to move forward.
I heard this song on a Chicago channel 101.1 and all it did for me was make me believe that hope is still here. I always stay positive and it's because of signs that people give. this is one for me. thank you
I looked up this song expecting something else. This is one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. We need more of this in the world. I applaud this band for using their video to do this. Just beautiful.
I'm old. As in 50. The music isn't for me...yet I love the message of the video and the lyrics of the song. Well done, 888, and I wish you much success!
No matter how many times I listen to this . I always shed a tear. Never has a song come along that helps me process my hurts that I've caused and hurts I've received in life as much as this one. Thank you 888.

Not only do the music video and song lyrics make sense with each other, which is rare to find, it also has such a powerful message. It's made me really think about forgiveness, and about how forgiving people isn't just for the benefit for the person who did the wrong, but for the person who is doing the forgiving. Not forgiving someone is kind of punishing yourself because it's feeling angry all the time without having a means to make the feeling go away.
I liked that you guys added the clarification at the end. In the first upload of the video, I was one of those questioning the idea of the video. Now it makes a lot more sense.
I'm just wondering why this video/ song is not up to a MILLION, if not more, views yet??? One of the best I've seen and heard in a long time. Gotta give these guys credit.
My dad showed me this song and watch this video and I really told my self wow look how much the world has change and how we can forgive each other for just about anything but this video shows you, you very well can.
Oohh! Right to the feels. Powerful message. The idea of forgiveness is something the vast majority of everyone knows/felt/ given, but just imagine a world where it was practiced at every opportunity. This world would be a much better place if we all just loved one another and learned true forgiveness for the wrong doings bestowed upon us by our fellow piers.
I forgive you, for using the incorrect spelling of peers. I enjoy piers, but people are peers, not structures that often serve as a type of dock. Would it really be a better world though? If we all knew we could get away with anything because we would be forgiven easily?
This song was beautiful. I never even knew members of Drop Dead Gorgeous started a new band. Found this song through an article on Vice called "You’re Just Jealous: Drop Dead, Gorgeous’ ‘In Vogue’ Set the Bar for Scene to Come". it was a really nice read. Thanks for the memories Danny and DDG. I loved you'r music but I never knew all of you were so deep. I'm blessed to have been graced by you.
I happened to hear this song on the radio this morning, and the lyrics were memorable. Then I saw the video, I had such a hard time holding back tears. Amazingly done.
Love love love this song- it gave me chills and brought me back to my own past. Got around to watching the video and teared up. Finally a music video that not only makes sense, but is clear and beautifully filmed. New favorite!
This song helps me when I am really sad because there is still stuff in my life that I regret and this song shows that forgivness is still here and it gives me hope everyday
I listen to this song since the middle of 2018, but I just watched the video couple minutes ago while was working in my office. All the scenes made me stop doing anything on my desk and cried alone. This music video is beyond amazing and deserves more viewers. Thank you 888 ='))
Me too i looked up critical to find it then critical mistake and low and behold here we are :) hey I'm Ayesha hope you fill your soul with positivity today and remember your exactly where your meant to be and everything will be ok :)
I was babysitting the other day and I was in my room playing music on my laptop. My little cousin comes in, sits on my bed with me, and just watches me play Titanfall and all. Then he asks me to put on this song. Ohmygosh, I fell in LOVE. Nine year old cousin got taste👌👌
makes me cry every time. Reminds me that the problems i may face today are mild compared to some of the worst tragedies all around us. makes me realize that the issues today will only grow larger and more complex with time so we must individually take action now to deal with our own problems and that includes letting go of the shit hand life has dealt us and doing our best to build a better life for others, especially those who wronged us or who we have wronged.
it'll get more views.. once people start making critical mistakes that we all do in life. we all learn eventually. unless u choose not to learn. then he fucked
+Med-Linki Mz - totally true .. but you can't understand a song like this until something bad actually happens. that's why this is probably low on views. people just don't understand it until it happens.
The video behind this caught me off guard. I was not expecting such a powerful showing about forgiveness for such horrible actions being caused to you. While the song is great, major props for putting forth such a strong moral in the video. Now I need to see who put all these onions in here.....
This song is crimminally underrated
Still listening in 2024! Found this song in elementary school. Been out of high school for 3 years now. Definitely a keeper for the Bangers playlist!
This is, without a doubt, one of the most powerful music videos I've ever seen. Unreal.
Nothing left to say
Jesus Christ has perfect forgiveness for anyone needing it.
Such a powerful video. The man who got paralyzed and the drunk driving lady hugging made me cry
You know it's a dramatization, right? They are characters
Yeah, but still
Suspensefulwpencil People cry at fictional movies, books, etc. This is no different, still an impactful and emotional video/message
Life is a struggle for all of us

Finally, an actually good music video.
Reminds me of How To Save A Life by The Fray' Music Video
Really.:)
FINALLY!!!
Woah
Scratches at a level 6 with deeper meaning at a level 7
Woah indeed

Dan Marshall seems like a universal song, I’m 17 and heard it on the radio at a ski resort and fell in love with this song lol
It plays everyday at my job at tijuana flats lol

Denver people will remember this band as “Drop Dead Gorgeous” used to play at Lifespot and I cannot be more proud of them
I was there
I love this song so much, this video made me cry if I'm being honest. Hope this band is going places..!
Hope you're too, love you all

The sound at the end is the tide, washing away all my critical mistakes.
Ugh. Trying not to cry! This song has so much more meaning to me now! My heart aches for those poor people, both groups.
I'm here because of Spotify. Under rated band.
These people have more willingness to move forward than I ever would. I honestly can say I couldn't forgive anyone of them.
I first listen to this song when it had less than 10,000 views. I am here and I shall stand here to the end.
I looked up this song expecting something else. This is one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. We need more of this in the world. I applaud this band for using their video to do this. Just beautiful.
