  • Video on her final stages of training with us. • Working a dog reactive...
In this video hopefully it is clear to you I was caught by surprise. I even repeat "NO" several times just in hopes it may manage her a bit, not that it would magically teach "no". The leash was too long, I was too low on ecollar and I over-estimated my ability to work her around intense distractions. The reason I posted it is because dog training is MESSY and trainers are far from perfect...but we learn from our mistakes. Take your time and learn from yours, don't beat yourself up :)

I think this one is a few years old. I'm currently working a 6 month old with regular updates on my instagram. Videos get to this platform a little later. She has a muzzle on because of potential off leash dogs that are common in our neighborhood as well as the park. We also use them for dogs that redirect onto the leash, our hand or the owners leg when they are reacting. prong collar is like the steering wheel, ecollar has no direction, it's purely for the brain to try to settle and cut through the noise

Thank you for this video! I’ve watched a million videos, worked with trainers, just got a prong…and she (Rottweiler) behaves 90% of the time, but she did react today and wasn’t sure if all was lost….I did exactly what you did, tried to turn and redirect…. I was afraid I had done something wrong, glad to see it just happens at times.
