  • Welcome!
    This week, Rachael and I take the kids in N32042 - the trusty Piper Warrior from Orlando Executive Airport to Albert Whitted for a spot of lunch. We then jump back in the plane and fly over to Clearwater Airpark so we could visit the beach!

    Great video Gareth. Looked crowded at the ramp at Whitted. Excellent cake etiquette questions from the ladies in the back. A good pilot is always learning...about pastries. If the girls start yelling F U Gravity, we will know they will get their PPL.

    How funny, I'm the guy at Albert Whitted Airport who drove you and your wife and kids out to Charlie Ramp on the golf cart ,to take pictures of a different airplane so you didn't have to taxi your plane there and back to the FBO. Your video randomly showed up on my suggested viedos.. awesome video!!

    I did my first discovery flight at Clearwater Airpark back in 2015 while on a family vacation. I was 12. Now i’m 17 and a licensed pilot. I kinda forgot about that airport, but it’s neat to see it and remember where it all started.

    Traffic is ALWAYS bad at Clearwater beach:) I lived there before they had that stupid round a bout put in that make traffic 10x's worse. Yes, I lived 5 mins down the street on Drew Street in some apartments back in 99/00. Then I moved back to Jacksonville with my family. Loved living there but the job just wasn't cutting it to stay there and be able to attend college at the same time.

    Technically....and for some reason we as pilots do not follow this.... 123.45 is the frequency for Aircraft flight testing and transoceanic communications. 122.75 is actually the correct frequency for Air to Air comms between private GA fixed wing aircraft.

    How was it with 4 people in the plane? I heard the piper28's although have four seats can only handle 3 people really or is the fact you had two kids helped?

    • @ZeroThreeDelta
      @ZeroThreeDelta  3 роки тому +2

      It flew a lot better than I expected. W&B was within limits but with them being kids, it helped.
      It’s all down to the PA28. Our Archer is a beast when it comes to lifting loads. The 161’s and 151’s are definitely limited to 3 adults or adults and 2 kids. That’s the same for a standard 172, though. We’ve taken 4 adults in a 172 before and wouldn’t want to try that again. Luckily it wasn’t too warm outside.
