North Amityville, Working Fire, June 26, 2022

On June 26, 2022, Babylon Central Fire Rescue Alarm received a call reporting the side of a house on fire, at 786 Bayview Ave. Upon arrival of North Amityville Chief of Department Thomas Nelson, a working fire was activated. Mutual aid was requested from Copiague for an engine, North Lindenhurst for a truck company, Amityville for F.A.S.T. (put to work as a truck company upon arrival) , Massapequa for an ambulance to the scene, & East Farmingdale for a F.A.S.T. South Farmingdale stood by with an engine & Farmingdale Village stood by with a truck. The Wyandanch-Wheatly Heights Ambulance Corp. responded to provided firefighter rehab. 2 lines were stretched, and fire was confined to the exposure 2/3 corner. No injuries were reported.
