I have anxiety too! When I was asked to teach Gospel Doctrine I was TERRIFIED. The first Sunday I had to teach I thought I would just make an excuse and hide. But I jumped in and grew!! I have been teaching for 3 years. I have grown so much and came to realize I have a great strength in myself! When i was released a few weeks ago, I just cried. But I know the calling was to help me realize I am loved by Heavenly Father and he knows us intimately.
Wow! Powerful message. By the end of the thirty days your light was shining so brightly you practically glow! God loves you dear Sister. Thank you for sharing. 🕯️
As someone who lives in the constant state of not feeling like I'm enough, I've come to notice that it drives me to do more, and when God reassures me I've done well I feel at peace.
I know hardly anyone who doesn’t suffer from self esteem issues, but being honest, I also don’t know that many people who aren’t judgmental and unkind about others. All of us have battles and I love how this video shows us that no moment is lost in this life, God uses everything to teach. It is important though, we ask ourselves how we treat others too. Gossip and judgements are too common, they are not of God and they destroy people’s confidence and can even turn them inactive. So we need to ask ourselves, how do we treat us and how do we treat others, to their face and behind their back. Let’s all be better at recognising we all need God’s help and don’t judge others who sin differently to you ❤
Thanks, Wanda! What an awesomely inspired question to ask! I think it's good to always be asking "what can I do today" or "how can I incrementally improve today", but asking how He's already using who we are right now is reassuring, allows us a sense of divine worth from "square one". Thanks for your story, and I wish you the best as you continue to learn about and feel the love Heavenly Father has for you.
"If we love God, do His will, and fear His judgment more than men’s, we will have self-esteem." from "Beware of Pride", Ezra Taft Benson, April 1989. This has helped me with some of my struggles. Wanda, thank you for sharing your experience.
Thank you so much sister Wanda for allowing the spirit to move through you and with all you had on your plate already and still finding the strength within yourself to do this challenge, this will be the fifth year of being widowed and I as well have struggled since childhood with will I ever be enough because of my up bringing, well since the beginning of the year I started to delete from my contacts and my surroundings people who are not feeding me spiritually or mentally because I’ve come to realize I have all the faith in the lord but I don’t have enough faith or trust within myself. So I started to increase my daily scripture study to 2 chapters of the Book of Mormon per day instead of 1 and asked the lord to help strengthen me and allow me to see myself more each moment of each day through his eyes so that I can see myself as he sees me. And I really started to see a huge difference in my thoughts and way of thinking and perspective of things and got called to the Sunday school presidency on the stake level and since my calling I started to do spiritual fasting twice a week for more help and guidance and I’ve seen great things occurring in my life on a daily basis to reaffirm his presence, love, understanding and appreciation for my efforts in my life, and absolutely including your wonderful video and testimony this morning thank you so much for taking the time to do it and post it 👍🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 saludos 👋🏼 from Playa del Carmen Mexico 🇲🇽
Today when breaking my fast, I actually asked the Lord how he felt about me, I got some pretty cool responses from two talks and my nephew playing violin in sacrament (i watched on Zoom) and further answers of what I need to do to receive even deeper answers and insights, this has helped a lot and I am going to try this challenge myself. Thank you so much!
I sure loved your sincerity and candid story you shared with us all. Kudos to you for hanging in for the whole 30 days! We will follow your example Wanda! 💕
Just wanted to say that you are awesome, and I know exactly how you feel with the struggles of low self-esteem and anxiety! I am so grateful for God's daily remedies to those earthly challenges and His peace that is so desperately needed when we are battling ourselves. I love that He can see what we can't in us and can use us.
I am definitely struggling right now with my self worth. It's actually unusual for me as I tend to have a very positive attitude. I am going to ask Heavenly Father this question next time I pray. Thank you!
Sometimes, during difficult times, I remember my patriarchal blessing, and a few of the things in there that were said to me and it builds me up and gives me the confidence I need to move forward.
Wanda, your beautiful spirit really shines through in this video. Thank you for sharing your light and encouragement and faith... I feel uplifted and inspired by your story and example. I also feel very proud of you!! Yours is a story of facing adversity and rising above it through faith in Christ and lots of spiritual work! All my best wishes! And long-distance hugs!
❤ God told me to share my smile 😊 To smile to those I come in contact with. Thanks for this powerful message. Thanks for your example and sharing your light with us🥰
Your message was beautiful and filled me with God's love. One way I've recently noticed God using me is how He uses my sensitivity to the Holy Spirit to serve in my calling. Living His way as I follow His word is such a joy and a blessing!
i was preparing for my mission and while i'm preparing i have many struggles and challenges i encounter and i have that the same thought in my mind that "am i enough?" and somehow i watch this video and it helps me that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ really knows me and loves me perfectly
Thank you so much for sharing that! This was an incredible experience for me but it was easy to worry that my words were inadequate at describing the change I felt about God's love. And your comment helped remind me that when we show up the holy ghost will touch the hearts it needs too. Good luck with your mission! I can feel that God is so proud of what you have done to be where you are right now
Almighty father god bless you sister and help us get closer and build that holiness within us to be protected and share his love and feel his peace amen
Thank you for sharing, Wanda. This 30-day challenge content somehow gives spiritual strength and comfort to me in a very personal way. I feel that God is with us, right next to each of us, in a very personal way. Hope everyone’s day is a little more beautiful and shining.
I'm a devoured morom convert ex Christian and I'm glad I found the lds I'm very happy n open to its beliefs because it follows my owns big family lots of children ❤️ happy whole wounderfull fulfilled life I didn't have w my ex husband miserable ten y marriage my new husband is wonderful kind loving n amazing I'm glad to have changed my life for God amen thank god.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😂😂😂🎉😂🎉😊
You are amazing! I myself have battled poor self esteem. People used to call me a loser, but God told me he doesn't like loser. He prefers me to call myself a survivor! You are also a survivor and He is using your talents every day!
To pray every day and surrender, and not beat myself up for every mistake, and it keeps striving on my path they say if you keep trying, you never actually fail. You only fail when you stop trying.
Hi sweetie👋🏻 I've dealt with poor self image/anxiety for (most of) 54 YEARS💙😔 I'm SO THANKFUL that you did that 30 day challenge 🎉 Taking care of those issues NOW in your life will be such a blessing to you and those around you. 🌞🌞🌞 God bless, my sister💜
Im happy you have found peace in the awareness of our loving father in Heavens omi presence. His love for us is so amazing. We find our true worth when we come unto our Father and he reveals his heart to us.
Hi. I hope you will feel a lot better knowing you're not the only one going through this. Sometimes I feel I have a bad fate but none of it is true. God gives us all different challenges and He wants us to grow our faith in Him and our relationship. God bless you beautiful ❤
Thank you for sharing this Wanda. Never think you are less than anyone else alright because all of us are connected somewhere. We need to always be kind and forgive to ourselves and just be grateful everyday. Look around and see your many blessings and you will find everyday is different. If we wine and complain how can we be grateful of the things we have. Wine and complaining even self-doubt is walking without the spirit everyday. That's why we have been told to always read the Scriptures Daily with prayer with hope in the things we ask. If you don't ask you don't receive. Kind of like if you don't ask for drink of water you won't be thirsty and who does that.
Nice. Can I paraphrase? "I was always thinking of how I could try to be better and do better - and that was terribly uncomfortable. So then I did this 30 days challenge where I thought of all the ways I am already doing good enough and figured out how to make God in that image, and that's just tremendously more comfortable." Again, nice. I think that perfectly reflects the message of Jesus Christ. Yep.
Well no that's nothing like the message of Jesus. His message was we aren't good enough but that's ok because God loves us anyway and Jesus died for us so we don't have to be. We need that humility to approach God and accept that we need His mercy and grace.
Thank you! Thank you so much for sharing your incredible testimony and experience! I have always struggled with my own self worth especially this last week, this was exactly what I needed to hear at the perfect moment! Thank you ❤
I'm going through an anxious moment right now. God used your charity and experience to reach out to me in my anxious moment and offer hope. Thank you for showing me His tender mercy.
Truly trying to be better is worth a lot! It says a lot about our worth that Jesus performed the Atonement for us, and would've done the whole thing even just for you or me. We are not limited to how the world defines us, because God knows us waay better and knows how to help us reach our full divine potential!
This is such an inspiring story - thanks for having the courage to share it here publicly, Wanda. I admire your faith and fortitude. Hearing of your experience helped me feel more acutely that we all do truly belong. We belong to God and we belong with each other. When you were talking about how God uses something in your life and you mentioned your anxiety, I was reminded of a scripture I read in last week's Come Follow Me chapters. In 2 Nephi 2:2-3 it says, ". . . and he (God) shall consecrate thine afflictions for they gain. Wherefore, thy soul shall be blessed . . .". I know that's one way that he uses your anxiety - to bless you. I know that he uses my personal struggles in my life in the same way (though I admit I can't always see it at the time). Thanks again for sharing your story. It helped me in my personal worship of God today.
Jesus Made me Humble through my Weakness to proclaim his way of living wherever Lord Abba Father has Placed us and He has Given us His Spirit so that we are equipped to do everything Holy and Awesome ❤
Thanks for sharing Wanda. I have always felt like I am not enough as well. I believe in HIM and I am working to believe I am wanted as well. Take care. Daniel

Hi, "What is one way that he is using you in your life right now" well, I can't believe just how much of my time is spent in the service of others. Man, those people lives must be really great.
For all who are struggling with self worth, I recommend listening to "You Say" by Lauren Daigle. It helps me shift my concerns from what the negative voices inside my head and other people think of me to what God thinks of me. Remember, God can make weak things (like low self esteem) become strong unto you. I hope that whoever is reading this is blessed! 😊
Wanda my name is Sean I have felt different to other’s like you I have had the same experiences. It’s been hard because I am a person that loves to interact with people. However in my personal life I don’t have connections. That’s what makes me ask the question am I good enough? It friendships in the community that I lack. I am at the age where my family have moved away so I am on my own. It’s not easy and it sounds like I am reaching out for connection I am. Our Lord Jesus wants has children to Love each other but I don’t see it. The world is a changing place. Wanda I have turned to Jesus for Love for I don’t see the same type of Love in people.
Trust in the Lord Jesus Christ always, know matter the situation he knows you better than you know yourself, when the world seems like it is against you, or you feel like you can not make it thru, trust in him, call on him in mighty prayer, his arms are always open, welcoming you, he knows what you need and will send the holy Ghost to comfort you and lift you up in times of need, don't give up on him, because he will never give up on you, peace and happiness is only one prayer away, may the Lord be with us all is my constant prayer in the name of Jesus Christ amen.
Jesus LOVES you! Would I say what I'm saying to myself in my mind to someone else? If not, than don't say it to yourself. There is a reason Jesus loves you. You are a child of God. LOVE yourself:)
Don’t be afraid to see a certified, qualified, independent therapist and/or psychiatrist if needed. There is no shame in getting medical help. Make sure your therapist follows HIPPA laws to keep your information private. It is illegal for your therapist and/or psychiatrist to share any of the information you tell him or her with anyone else.
Oh, and I'm curious, why do you have low self esteem? Once you know Jesus then you know you are loved and thus how can one who is loved by Jesus not know their worth and/or value? Yesterday I found out my cousin hung himself, his mom phoned only 8 hours ago, clearly he had low self esteem and clearly didn't know Jesus, which makes this tragedy more painful, a fact I won't share with my family for obvious reasons. My point is, if you know Jesus then you know Jesus loves you, so don't despair and most certainly understand your value.
We know God is our Father in Heaven, and that He loves us perfectly because we are His spiritual children. His greatest act of love was to send His Son, Jesus Christ, to suffer and die for our sins. I'm glad to hear you have a better outlook now, but it wasn't anything to do with a God, it was all your own doing so why don't you take the credit for it instead of attributing it to a God that almost certainly doesn't exist? Plus, if God is real, then look at all the starving children in Africa, why does God help you but ignore them? This type of thinking is the height of narcissism

Wow! Thanks so much for this. I am SO grateful to came across this video. This is just thing I needed.

FORGET WHAT YOUR PARENTS WANTED YOU TO BE
Oh, and I'm curious, why do you have low self esteem? Once you know Jesus then you know you are loved and thus how can one who is loved by Jesus not know their worth and/or value? Yesterday I found out my cousin hung himself, his mom phoned only 8 hours ago, clearly he had low self esteem and clearly didn't know Jesus, which makes this tragedy more painful, a fact I won't share with my family for obvious reasons. My point is, if you know Jesus then you know Jesus loves you, so don't despair and most certainly understand your value.
What is going on here??
God has never loved me.
Nope. He does. I promise you.
This type of thinking is the height of narcissism
sure, you're enuff. Now move on. All this fake guilt is nonsense
