Game Description -
Choose any real region from the world. Choose your base of operations, then rebuild and readapt the buildings around you to create a self-sustaining settlement. Take charge of a group of survivors from your city. And when the night falls - Defend the zone from the infected!
“The Mad Virus” has spread throughout the world with the speed of jet planes. The infected are highly aggressive, fast and strong.
In a couple of weeks, society collapsed. Cities are empty. There is no electricity, no water, and no food. Yet, there are a few survivors...
Establish a new “Infection Free Zone” wherever you choose. Set up shelters and production facilities. Adapt existing buildings to new needs. Build new farms and power houses. Establish defenses with walls, gates, and towers.
Utilize your knowledge of the city. What is the best place to defend? Where were the grocery stores, where were the pharmacies? Where would you look for weapons?
Remember that it’s dangerous to search the old buildings, there might be some infected lurking in the dark!

Here’s a building tip for you. When trying to put down a gate it is often difficult to get it to align with how you want it to. It will wiggle around or even jump on top of something else. This behavior makes it challenging to place the gate just right. Solution… Place a line of walls where you want the wall to go, then you can place gates anywhere along the wall and they will automatically align to the wall. No materials are waisted because you haven’t built anything yet. Discovering this trick has saved me hours of work trying and retrying to place gates just right.😊

Consider swapping in a green soldier in your vehicle squads to quickly gain ranks. This will make your defense squads stronger.
Please have the drivers carry shotguns. They won't shoot while in the car, but if you have the squad enter a building it will add a lot of fire power.
I kept watching the ammo count dwindle and was almost yelling at the screen…

Я нашел баг в игре. Можно построить большое здание очень быстро и не потратив ресурсов. Например нам нужен дом на 400 человек. Сначала зажмаем мышку и делаем минимальную застройку. Например на 20 чел. Когда эта застройка будет готова, делаем расширение дома например на 150 человек. Но не строим его, а расширяем недостроенное здание еще раз. И опа! Здание сразу готово и ресурсы не потратились. Так можно делать например дома на 100 и более человек. Так же можно делать и другие здания производственные и жилые.
this game needs a new vehicle, a fast boat, for sea transportation. And also can be added to research where players can unlock a few new types of vehicles, such as yachts (big boat), monster trunks, tanks,APCs and so on. Survivors also able to build those type of transportations.
Yea I cant wait for vehicle modding.
A bus would be cool too, especially if it had a special ability to allow immigrants to board allowing quick transport back to a HQ.
Also a new building to produce body armor.
If you build a small warehouse beside a big building you are destroying / building outside your base. they can build it faster. so they walk short when getting / storing materials. Plus small
warehouses are like 2-5 wood only.
This 100%. Kt doesnt even need to be a small warehouse in a small bjilding. You can use the drag tool to only select 1% of a big building for the warehouse.
Sadly ATM all IFZ runs are doomed as you eventually run outta wood. No renewable wood source yet.
v 0.24.4.18 16 of the game the "F" key does cycle squads. Yeah, like the Space key occasionally pauses the game. Lol Funtionality is there but their keyboard event processors AFU'd. Keep rocking!

@KnightOps-KO I thought is was my Razor keypad and mouse, but verified it with just keyboard. Oddly addictive game. I'm normally playing Arma, but this scratches that Civ and Masters of Orion itch. 😀

21:25 You can use ctrl + 1 (or whatever number) to set a squad to that number for recall, only problem is that it wont always take you to that squad, it will highlight them but not always move your camera to them.
24:00 If you want, you can use that area to create a wall maze and line it with towers. That will make the infected think there is a clear shot into your base and they will likely go for it and get merc'd while going thru the maze by the towers. I did it in my game and its fun! Too much time spent playing Tower D.
30:30 I hope they add the ability to build bridges soon. My game will not let me over to that Island.

I saw another Tuber partially adapt buildings by clicking and dragging. You may know this, or that feature no longer exists, idk. But maybe it helps.

27:45 put a gate on the western wall at the upper NW corner. It will be a short cut to reduce worker travel time
i hope that, for the future update, players able to unlock more and more area until u able to zoom out (due to a lot of areas already unlock) which u can literally see the whole continent and after that, players start sending thousand of soldiers to hunt down the swarm all over the world.

Expedition tip: With the current bug where expeditions don't give any loot. there is a workaround: once your squad 100% the zone don't leave the zone. save and reload and all the loot will appear. also sending 2 cars on the same expedition makes it much faster and safer.

Here’s a suggestion if you went to the place that radio signal told you to meet it might continue the quest. Also, when your doing the expedition, you can use two cards against the hoards to get more research and explore more outward
Enabling cheats works too, you can use it to force-complete a mission.

To cycle squads, the default key is TAB. Also did you know you can assign Squauds or groups of squads to the number keys? Select a squads or a group of them and press CONTOL-#. Then you can select that squad simply by pressing the assigned number. (Currently you can’t jump to it, just select it. Iv’e put in a request with the devs to make it so hitting the squads number twice it will jump to that squads location.) There is a button in the squad info window to jump to the squad, once selected.
Ive tried the CTRL number but it still didnt work for me. is it num pad numbers? Thats the only one I didnt try.
@@KnightOps-KO No, I use the numbers along the top of the keyboard. I’ve never tried using the key pad. Use the CONTROL key only to set the squads ID, after that use just the number key to highlight the squad. P.S. Just tried the key pad, doesn’t work there, with or without “Num Lock” engaged.

Also noticed you have 31 squads posable just make sure you have ammo and g (items can't say g u. N automod deleted my post) in the 3 corner Hq buildings, you can create emergency monster defence outposts on demand and then disband them once they have gone.

@@KnightOps-KO Just read a post asking about population cap. A dev answered and said there is a cap at 700, but they possibly could change it in the future.

Hey knight, why don’t you build a checkpoint on the NW side of the map where they have to cross the bridge, just a super bunker or something to funnel them
I thought about it but it would take forever to build and the infected attack way to often I'd have to slowly expand up that way

Try not to destroy too many buildings leading down from where survivors and zombies come from. The living wont be able to hide at night.

@@KnightOps-KO no problem appreciate the videos, also you can just drag med packs onto your squads for insta heals
also in expeditions if its daytime the infected will stay in the middle stop your car just outside the middle of an expedition and then click on the infected symbol you will kill the infected without any risks
