i have tried doing this for literal years upon years of my life and i have not once managed it, nor have i beaten the "first level" of sonic adventure 7. i'd say "skill issue" but frankly i think the real skill issue is makon's level design
I owned this game, well at least the Grayscale screen not that colorful in the beginning, came in a off Grey cart that said "GAME" and the picture sticker label was the saturn sonic 3d blast color art.
The game felt like it would draw more power than average games for some reason for example if I wanted to use a game genie, or game shark, it would drain batteries very quick.
It's the 4-year anniversary of PirateGameThing, and we just hit 500 subscribers a couple days ago! Thank you guys for that! I'll probably have a 4 years video up today, I just need to actually work on it.
Thank you for letting me know the end of this game, never finished it in my childhood. And now I believe no humanbeing can finish this on a physical gameboy, without snapshot savings.
"stay music" cracked me up way more than it should have, great video im glad i looked up to see if anyone else had anything to say about the awful audio in this game
I remember when I first played this pile of... shit would be too kind of a word. The only positive is that it gave me a newfound respect for HNGRY BIRDS. _That's how bad this is._
I just realised they used Sonic’s sprites from Triple Trouble on Game Gear. Seriously these bootleggers did know a lot about Sonic but nothing can save their bad codings.
You can see the developer never played the game by the level design, just used a editor and mafe the levels and held the game togehter with some spit and ducttape
I just noticed that some of the impossible gaps can be done without the buzz bomber glitch, if you spindash off a ledge, you can still do a jump on the air and it works with those gaps
The sad thing is, the in-game graphics aren't half bad for a Game Boy game. Its too bad they put absolutely no effort into making the gameplay fun and completely phoned in the soundtrack!
11:50 Why he screaming like Bootleg Mario #2? (From Mario 3: Around The World and Mario 4: A Space Odyssey, actually screaming sound is from BrutalDoom, but low pitched)
At least Sonic Blasting Adventure, which is a remake of this and the other 2 bootleg Game Boy Sonic games was alright. It still has a handful of flaws but at least you can play it.
I mean, they tried. That's all I can really say. Typical shit for a Makon Soft/Yong Yong bootleg. Though strangely, and I have no idea why I recognize this, but I think the song in Acts 1 and 5 is supposed to be Angel Island's theme from Sonic 3, albeit a really shitty recreation.
OMG I actually own a physical copy of this game. I never realized that it is not an official game. Yes, I am frustrated by the non-fluidity of the movements and the hitboxes. I've never encountered collision detection problems though. Then again, I've never made it past Act 2.
It's just not behavior you would expect, it seems like a mistake. It was also fixed in a later revision of the game so that may lead some to believe that the behavior was indeed unintentional.

Lmao i still have this game never knew it was a hack i always thought for years this was a depressing sonic game because of the intro and the gameplay a bit lol
Not to throw shade at this title or anything-in fact, it could work for SEGA themselves as quite the innovative _and_ risky twist on the usual Sonic formula, just like what they did with Labyrinth-but next time you think about Sonic ‘06 and Genesis and how the franchise has stayed at the bottom to this very day, think about _genuine_ bootlegs like these (oxymoron intended). SEGA could be doing *much* worse today, so let’s just be satisfied with what we have with the real thing now, m’kay? It’s called “contentment”; remember that. :-)
This game only works in the BGB emulator, others like Gambatte, SameBoy, VBA-M, PizzaBoyBasic, and MyOldBoy either refuse to boot or make random percussive noises for the rest of time.
yea, there's probably a mapper hack for wider compatibility but i use bgb for basically all of my gb/gbc videos because it seems to be the least fussy for some reason

Basically, sonic adventure 7 is a re-release of sonic blast 5 but in color on the GBC now with new levels and music that don't make you want to tear your ears off...not as much anyway
a few years ago my april fool's joke was literally taking this video and replacing the 3d blast 5 footage with adventure 7 footage because the result of trying to make a video on that game from scratch would've been exactly the same and people kept asking for it
