Francois Marc walks around Almaty, Kazakhstan with his friends from night to day. I got a chance to see real life on the streets of Almaty. I enjoyed seeing walking Almaty city streets and meeting people who are different from me. I tried various Kazakh foods and I even took the Almaty metro for the first time with a friend. Walking tours are my favorite thing to, so it's no wonder I really enjoyed my time walking around the streets of Almaty Kazakhstan and exploring everything the city has to offer.
If you are thinking of coming to Almaty Kazakhstan, then think no longer and come! There are amazing things to do in a country that is full of good food, friendly people, and amazing sites, even on the city streets of Almaty. You won't be disappointed if you come to Almaty, Kazakhstan!

Almaty is a great city,,,maybe the best city I've traveled to in a long time. This is definitely a city I could live in...What a blessing to be able to experience this! How did you like the city?!
A lot of migrants from russia have escaped mobilization and are now hiding in Kazakhstan.
I love that the city lies at the foot of the mountains.
Just 30 minutes from the centre of the city and you will find yourself in a ski resort where the ski season runs from October to April.
Man, you should definitely try the local burger called Bahandi. It’s the best burger, like literally

It's Switzerland of Central Asia.. You should try visiting Eastern Kazakhstan Altai mountain ranges 'Katon Karagai' bordering Russia and China , about an hour flight to Ust Kamenegorsk from Almaty. Very beautiful Altai mountains @@francoismarc3

I've traveled the world myself and can say that Almaty deserves accolades... and I was mostly comparing it to my hometown of Los Angeles which is not clean, not modern, not well-thought out nor particularly family-friendly. Yet it is beautiful... I am more likely to visit Almaty due to this video!
@@francoismarc3 Yeah, actually you’re partly right , some small towns still look like they are stuck in the Soviet Union era. The government is developing only big cities like Astana and Almaty. Mostly because of corruption :(

The coziest city in the World
I was there from June 9 to June 22, I was born, and grew up in Almaty, came to United States in 1998, ever since I was living in NY, but once or twice a year, I’m traveling back to Almaty, and I think I will eventually retire there, American retirement can carry you long way there!

Last year I was in the United States (New York, San Francisco, Miami) also traveled to the Caribbean region (Dominican, Puerto Rico, Bahamas) and I must admit, I was very impressed. Kazakhstan is kind a melting pot of Central EurAsia, back in the Soviet era a lot of different nationalities were sent here. There are about 130 nationalities living in the country. I have a friend who is 1/4 Polish 1/4 Korean 1/4 Russian-Ukranian 1/4 Chechen, and my friend always says: @Those people could only meet here. That's why we speak russian too - so all these different ethnic groups can commonly speak.
So that's why the population is so mixed! Thanks for letting me know! It looks like all the ethnicities live well together! I was super happy to see that! You have a wonderful country:)
@@francoismarc3 yeah man, I like it too. But KZ is soo huge and soo different in terms of landscape and everything. Westernmost point of Kz is closer to France than its Easternmost point. Anyway wish you nice trip

@@francoismarc3keep in mind though, that melting pot is not really a melting pot as "whites" preferred to mix with another whites
Kazakhs are not mixed. Of all ethnicities living here, only those who wished to forget their roots and preferred to become a Russified someone, or a Russian - only those have mixed and now identify themselves with the Russian culture. That was the plan of the Soviets and of modern Russia as well. Thank God, the Kazakhs withstood that policy but we need to get rid of the Russian language in our country.

We old dwellers love to bash our city authorities for being incompetent and corrupt and running the great city into the ground, so it’s always interesting to see some guests amazed how good it is here. We always complain and then we travel to other lands and localities and see how they are either too backward, or overcrowded/chaotic/unclean, overpriced, overhyped, outright unsafe, or with bad food, service and unhappy people all round, or no good nature anywhere. And then we get homesick and rush back to Almaty
