*this is basically a romantic comedy"
That's why it's good, it's ridiculous
I love how his explaining all the gory stuff he wrote and then he just goes PG 13
I'm still laughing about this now and it's already been an hour
@@jestersreign7530 ur a slow comment reader too huh I take forever 😅🤷♂️
I remember watching and thinking this would be so much cooler if it was rated R
The executive's face upon hearing about the multiverse opening killed me!
I love how they seem to be defending the plot, and at the same time expose a lot of holes and inconsistencies
Cletus: I’ve tasted blood before, and that is not it!
Ryan: Tasting blood is tight!!!
2:46 This exchange is pretty clever since it can be interpreted two ways. Either that Screenwriter guy is telling Producer guy not to worry why Shriek has powers because he doesn't explain it in the film. Or he's saying not to worry about it because Shriek is a mutant and he doesn't want to get into legal trouble by using that term.
The little noises...
"That sound like a plot point written in 1996", "Thank you", "hhrrra"
"He's all weak now. Nyum nyum nyum."
I love Ryan😭😂
"Yea, he just eats him up, he's all weak now. Yum Yum Yum." 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Favorite part!
🤣🤣🤣
I literally had tears laughing at this, especially towards the end 😂
Tearing up watching a comedic video is TIGHT!!
Wow wow wow… wow!
This movie was basically a trailer for the post credit scene
This is the second review on this movie ive seen that no one talks about how the heck Carnage got his whirlwind powers, seriously i feel like that would be a bigger deal
He spun real fast
I'm gonna need you to get all the way off my back on that point.
"because!"
"that works!"
This is not review, its The Pitch Meeting.
"That is what happens when you get shot in the eye"
Carl Grimes: ...
"We can shove venom into the MCU"
*Everyone's same reaction of shock* "No yeah that'll do"
"It's basically a romantic comedy."
You say that as if it's a bug, and not a feature.

lmao
Ryan as the idea pitching character: "Lets add a post credits scene where in we SHOVE (does shoving movements with hands) venom into the MCU"
Also Ryan as the boss man listening to said idea pitching character: *O_O* Yeah that'll do it!
“Ohhhhh, shoving things is TIGHT!”
“Oh, my god!”
“Oh, my god! I didn’t mean it like that.”

Sticking your tongue down people's throats is tight!
This is a movie in which Sony says, "Hey, remember us? We still have the movie rights to some Marvel characters! So we're going to make a Marvel-related movie once in a while so you don't forget.
Bro the end credits was amazing in the cinema
"So you have a new movie for me?"
"It's a superhero movie, so no, not really."
Love these!! Keep them coming!!! Would be interesting to see ACE VENTURA!!

"Spoilers Ahead" has never felt less necessary
Binge watching pitch meetings is tight and also super easy barely an inconvenience. Love you Ryan and love screen rant.
Don’t forget, when Carnage said he’s sensitive to sound he didn’t react to the helicopter exploding behind him and he literally roared “Let there be carnage” lol
EDIT: it’s actually the frequency of the sound, not just loud noises (my bad :p)
It's more sound at a certain frequency rather than being just loud noises.
It's something like 4000 to 6000 megahertz, so high pitch noises
@@MDCxThePG yeah except they pretty much totally ignored that in this movie and just used whatever sound was convenient
@@hunterreeves6525 They only ever reacted to Shriek and the church bell. They were pretty consistent with it.
Also he screams about as loudly and as pitchy as Shriek does
Imagine if they made a movie where Venom starts off as Spider-Man's suit, and then they fight in an epic struggle.
"There was that move from 2007, where-"
No, there wasn't.
Without that movie there would be no Bully Maguire meme! It must exist for this sole purpose.
Spiderman 3 wasn't THAT bad.
@@byronsenior6499 true, but it could be better
@@leonpaelinck Agreed, I just think it's over-hated.
This Spiderman 3 hate will not be tolerated.
The script felt like it was written by a 13 year old girl who never reads comicbooks and loves baking.
That was a massively risky post-credit scene, considering Sony's relationship with Disney is kind of like the Schrodinger's cat.
Dude, that is the most apropos description I've heard yet for the Sony/Marvel relationship lol
I mean, Disney had to sign off on it.
tbh I'm not happy. I wanted him to be separate. I'll still watch þo.
@@mandoad1841 Same. I hate when Spider-man and Venom appear together cause Spider-man always gets more attention/wins if they fight. KEEP THEM SEPARATE PLEASE!!
@@dragonuprising8378 That makes....literally no sense. Venom's very existence in the comics is predicated upon Spider-Man getting the black suit and screwing over Eddie Brock. Which is why I despise the Sony Venomverse. Don't get me wrong, I don't want him in the MCU either, but to say that Venom and Spider-Man shouldn't be in the same movie is among the dumbest takes I have ever heard. Venom's main point is to be Spider-Man's most deadly foe. He's had some solo adventures, but those were relatively short-lived in comparison to his fights with Spidey.
"Having Carnage cereal with your very own surprise symbiote inside is tight" - Spiderman -
I think this is my favorite pitch meeting ever. Great job.
"What if we you know, shove Venom into the MCU"

Funny thing is that 1995 is when Venom and Carnage hacked the internet in Carnage Unleashed.

@@MaiAolei basically the post credit scene leads up to Venom and Eddie being brought to the MCU, presumably by Strange's Spell, meaning that Venom and Eddie will be in NWH in some way
The reframing of it as a romantic comedy between Eddy and Venom is so very tight!
Someone needs to make this on UA-cam...
