Marvel seems to going all-in with multiversal storylines in Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and with a title like Multiverse of Madness, the Doctor Strange sequel promised to bring us through some really wild alternate realities. And it did exactly that- for a few minutes!
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness definitely raises a few questions. Like what happened to all of Wanda’s character progression from Wandavision? Has she stopped caring about Vision? Did Reed Richards, the smartest man in the universe, really need to tell Wanda exactly how to kill Black Bolt? Are two Stranges throwing music notes at each other? Does believing in yourself really solve everything?
To answer all these questions and more, step inside the Pitch Meeting that led to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness! It’ll be super easy, barely an inconvenience.

"The multiverse is a concept of which we know frighteningly little" - The writers.
"And what about Captain Carter?"
“Captain America?! He turned into Joe Biden” 😆 look forward to these Pitch Meetings as much as the films themselves
“She read an evil book and become evil”
“America gets so scared by a bee that her moms disappear”
When America believed in herself my first thought was, "Actually it's going to be super easy. Barely an inconvenience." Ryan has trained us well.
"She read an evil book so that just undid all that and she's pure evil now."
I've seen too many of these movies, I know the formulas by heart now. As soon as the kid said she couldn't control it, my eyes rolled, knowing that there was going to come a key moment when she decided to believe in herself and magically it would all come to her command.
"What about Captain Carter?"
"Didn't he turn into Joe Biden at the end of Endgame?" And "my brain releases fun chemicals because it knows things from stuff!" is some of Ryan's best work.
I love the addition of "Hey shut up" to the pitch meetings. I find myself waiting for it now and it cracks me up every time.
The inconsistent use of all the sorcerers' powers, especially Wong's and Strange's, was infuriating. Strange literally demonstrated he could wave his hand and chop off the tentacles of that eyeball creature and its like, "Yes, that's easy and effective, now do it more and poke out its eye, too." Wong is falling off a Cliffside helpless while he demonstrated earlier he can create portals midair and save himself easy. Also Wong helping Scarlett witch despite one of his own sacrificing themselves to destroy the book is horrible writing. The temple attack by the witch was the dumbest thing I've ever seen.
“And what about Captain Carter?“
"What about Captain Carter?"
“Hey shut up!” Is my favorite new addition to the special catchphrases
For me the worst part of the movie was giving Bruce Campbell's character such a hard time, he got stolen from, said you gotta pay for that, then logically presumed Dr Strange had stolen from the museum,(the cape) and wanted to stop him and then gets punished for essentially stopping 1 actual thief and another alledged one by being forced to slap himself silly for the next 2 weeks like he was some bad guy criminal =/
“The smartest man in the universe told her exactly how to kill him”
That "Hey shut up" after he points out how weird it was for Reed to tell Wanda exactly how Black Bolt works was hilarious!
Wanda limps after them for ten minutes for some reason and then immediately flys away after the chase seen is over. Deep stuff.
thank you. after watching MOM I had to see someone agree with me on how stupid it all was, and the internet is full of praises, so I really needed the Pitch Meeting to keep me sane!
