i just recently switched from h-pattern (no clutch) to full manual transmission. do you have any tips for downshifting, or is it just practice to get better?
Hey man. Yeah it will take a while to get your feet all working together with that extra pedal. As you say it just takes practice but eventually it will start to become muscle memory and you won’t even think about it anymore, it will just become natural to you. I guess it makes it a bit easier for us in the UK as we are taught to drive fully manual early on but I think most cars for you guys in the US are automatic? But please correct me if I’m wrong! :)
@@Storm_RX your right about cars being automatic in the US, but i have only been driving for 2 months, so it wouldnt make much of a difference either way.
You can use heel-toe downshifting, and rev matching too. Heel-toe downshifting is when you pull the clutch in and keep your toes on the brake and you blip the throttle with your heel. (if your pedals are spread out, otherwise can use half of your right foot on the brake and the other half on the accelerator) This will make sure that your engine speed can line up with your transmission speed causing you to maintain speed better. This is a crucial part of improving lap times. However, if you do struggle with the flexibility of getting your heel to the accelerator, you can keep your heel on the brake and use your toes to blip the accelerator. If you are practicing this in a real car, you will find that if you use too much throttle you lurch backwards, too little and you lurch forwards, i am yet to get my wheel but i have experienced this IRL. I suggest you learn rev matching first, to make sure you can match your engine speed to your transmission speed. You will get better over-time. Hope it helps :)

can you recommend me a good car for a beginner to drift? also i can see you begin the wide drifts with left foot brake and not the clutck kick and these stuff , would you be nice enoug to explain? 😁♥
Hey dude! I’d say any of the more powerful 4wd cars would be best. The Subaru Impreza’s are a good place to start. And I’m pretty sure I always kick the clutch and pull the handbrake? Trying to think in my head just now and could be wrong but if you watch again I’m pretty sure my left foot hits the clutch rather than the brake when I start a drift. Just helps to keep the revs up to initiate the drift then I’ll start feathering the throttle to maintain it for as long as needed :)
If you notice it’s only when I’m pulling the handbrake, as you would in real life to stop torque going to the wheels when the handbrake is applied. Whether it makes a big difference in game I’m not 100%, but it’s good practice for other games or in real life so it’s become a muscle memory thing now :)
Players doing this in manual but with a extras..I did it with a controller but throughout the game and multiplayer. Also they lost some time 1:18 drifting instead of just keeping traction through it.
How did you get the tss handbrake knob to sit so low? Did you cut down the threaded shaft? I'm trying to make mine go that low but it bottoms out much higher up.
Hey man, I haven’t cut it or anything. It’s attached to the Thrustmaster racing clamp which positions it lower than the desk, but otherwise it’s all just connected up as normal 👍
That’s really funny man, I was literally planning on doing a VR vid in the Delta next no cap 🤣 Wanted to do another Group B fear vid. And yeah was trying to decide on a location, Argentina could be fun..
Thanks man! It’s a mod for PC version, called the ACAT mod that you can download from a website called Race Department. I did a tutorial vid not too long ago on how to download it if you are on PC :)
I would like to see you drive the Subaru WRX STI Rallycross in Germany. The way you drive is impressive!
Will add it to the list man, thanks for the comment 😁

It’s a shame because it’s a really great car in my opinion! I’ve always wanted to own one actually, maybe one day! :)
@@Storm_RX I hope ir will be soon.

Hey dude, do you mind making a vid about the peugeot t16 please? Love that car, thanks man
For sure man, will make one soon 👍
how do you put rx car on rally stage?
Can you do a video in which you deliberately avoid drifting in a rallycross car and compare it to your usual style?
Could do man! :)
Why are you using the clutch pedal if you’re on sequential transmission?
If you notice it’s only when I’m pulling the handbrake, as you would in real life to stop torque going to the wheels when the handbrake is applied. Hey storm! do you still have my suggestion in finland with the peugeot fwd (2nd class)?
Hey man, yes I still have it :)
@@Storm_RX ok just checking :)
Fantastic. How do you like the t-gt 2
Thanks! Yeah I really like it, especially with the Sparco Wheel mod attached. Just makes rally games feel more realistic:)
@@Storm_RX good to know. A new wheel is on my list. A t150 gets the job done but it doesn't feel right or spin fast after a u turn
Dude can you do a RS200 on New Zealand, I was only able to do 9:40 something

@@quantametrichope this late reply helps! You should be able to twist the black handle left and right to change the hight 🙏🏻
Delta s4 vr in Argentina next maybe ?

are you a real life rally driver too ?
Nah just a wannabe 🤣
Hey man
Can u do the Opel C Kadett please
Hey man, sure I’ll add it to the list of potential future vids :)
Bro please do drifting in croacia rally
Que juego es este rrally 2.0 ?? Dirt rrally ???
Dirt rally 2.0 👍
not one cockpitview??
I’ve done many runs in cockpit view on the channel too :)
Not drifting. Power sliding.
2x speed....
Flattered you think so I guess, but it 100% isn’t sped up in any way 😅
the stages in DR2.0 are some of the most boring rally stages in any video game. only topped by the generic randomly generated ones in dirt 4.
