Dont worry, you’ll get there. One important tip is to use the handbrake when sliding since the cars it gives you like the lancia are fwd and therefore oversteer a lot. The handbrake swings the back allowing these cool drifts you see, but the main thing that will get you podium placements is lines. Learn how to make the best line in every map and you should be getting at least top 15
@@jakecastillo6731 I find the most important things are; unless going on a long straight, keep the analog stick fully pointed where you want to go. Get used to throttling the throttle, meaning there are 99 different power levels between 100% and 0% throttle so use them. The same goes for the brakes. Also turning off-throttle braking to 1 gives you way more confidence around the corners. That's what I think most important for beginners to get the hang of.
Stop restarting. Its a bad habit and you wont learn from your mistakes if you keep doing that. When your fuckups have consequences you will become better very fast.

6:38 - I don't think the drifting is the problem, I think you can handle it. The problem with that bit was the bad camber on the turn that your navigator didn't warn you about, that's what made you wobble a bit. Great to get the car back under control quickly though, the braking force and bias must have been near perfectly set.

You just need to have a good balance between understeer and oversteer. But with 2wd cars it's better to have slight oversteer that can be controlled. I suggest putting the front camber angle to the lowest setting to have mazimum grip, that should be absolute for every car on every stage. With the rear camber you want the lowest setting possible whilst keeping the car stable, meaning that if the car becomes uncontrollable you need to increase this until it becomes stable. Remember to keep it as low as you can otherwise you'll not be getting the most out of the car's rear wheels. Generally leave the brakes alone unless the car behaves erratically when under heavy braking, in which case decrease brake pressure. If on dirt completely lock the diff to have max stability, unless you're getting snap oversteer when the car has low grip, in which case you can decrease the lock bit by bit until it's just right. If on asphalt try it open too maximize cornering ability though it may create too much oversteer, if that happens increase lock bit by bit. Like the brakes you can leave the dampers alone. If on dirt raise the front ride height in relation to the rear and try to have both set to the right side of the slider (high), this makes it easier for the car to handle rough surfaces. If on asphalt do the opposite and have both low as possible which makes the car more aerodynamic and reduces body roll. _The_ most important part in changing understeer and oversteer is the Anti Roll Bars. Generally speaking having the front anti roll bar stiffer than the rear will give you oversteer. So if the rear anti roll bar is stiffer than the front it'll give you understeer. Now having them both on the left side of the slider (soft) will give you more body roll and the right side (stiff) will allow for very little body roll. Soft is best for dirt roads with lots of tight corners like Argentina. On asphalt or fast dirt roads set them as stiff as possible because the car will be faster around corners with less body roll.
