your cooling lines in the pump are not correct for a stock pipe. 650s COOLING was changed from the first years because too much water so they added an additional pisser that goes to the pump. your pump is pumping water into what should be a pisser!
having the same issue with that pipe.. I got it with 2 gouges in the chamber, one with a hole through it. shouldn't be a problem with your waterbox, get a bead welded around where the coupler goes to hold your clamps on

I will give that a try it is so aggravating going out and blowing it off.
