If you want to, there is the Aether Lost Content.
A mod made by the Modding Legacy, it's basically a DLC for the Aether Mod. It adds the content that was removed + some extra content for the Aether Mod.
It was also ported to 1.19.4, so if you want to, you could do a follow-up video showcasing it.
You also have Deep Aether, which adds biomes to the Aether

One of the main programmers of the Aether Team here, thank you for the great showcase! This is a really good overview of the mod's content and does well to go into everything important over a short span of time. It is also nice to see brief mention of minor design details that I don't think most players are aware of, like the Smite buff for the Holy Sword (something I actually had implemented when working on the sword, and fun fact there's actually a similar buff for the fire-inflicting weapons as well, among others). This is a video that looks to have had a lot of attention put into it and is overall quite well made and also very accurate in its explanations and coverage of the content.

I remember watching Tobuscus playing the Aether mod back in its hayday. Glad to see people didn't forget about this part of Minecraft's history.

So cool to see this mod, one of the first ever developed for Minecraft back in the Beta days, back in the latest version. I hope development for Aether II is going well; haven't heard much from that in a long while.
As someone who was playing a lot during the beta days Aether was FAR from being one of the first mods, it was just one of the most popular with Mo Creatures
Aether II developement is actually on pause. They will resume developement soon.

Same, when I first tried to build an Aether portal, I was very disappointed
It's wild how ahead of its time this mod was when it was first released. Now we get to watch the features they add to maintain its triple A status :)
Its really cool to see this mod basically revived like this! I have a couple of nitpicks here and there (One being why do you need to use a special staff to make the Moa sit when you could just crouch-right-click? Its a weird trope in mods that I've never understood), but that's all they are: nitpicks. Minor things that really dont matter much overall. If I ever get around to playing Minecraft again, I'm absolutely gonna use this! Maybe with one or two other mods (As well as Lost Content (Maybe Deep Aether), cause of course), but nothing too drastic. :)
there’s no way to tell a horse to sit so i don’t see how it’s much different from needing a lead to keep a horse in place
@@yourehereforthatarentyou It just feels weird to me to need a separate item to make them sit or do things. Especially if you have multiple mods that do that and those staffs can end up cluttering your inventory. :P

because the mod came out in like 2012 and this is more or less a port of it. i dont think you appreciate how different things are now vs then

What I am most happy about with this is that, this is "The Aether". Not the weird Aether 2 RPG that the team is also working on. When they originally announced Aether 2, way back in I think MC version 1.10.2 ( it was that long ago, or even longer). It was just a Aether revival, with dungeon crawling elements that I enjoyed. But then they started making it into a RPG with characters and lore- and I lost interest. So its genuinely nice to see that the Aether Legacy team finally put this bad boy out!

No, they'll continue to develop Aether 2 after this mod "remake" will be done.
I lost interest because they made the dungeons a separate plane, instead of being part of the world.
Hopefully they can tweak the difficulty with netherite armor in mind especially when its fully enchanted, it trivializes the difficulty of the aether in its current state
This is highly unlikely. The team wants to have the aether be somewhat self contained and is balancing around you having nothing going into the aether. Which is silly but it was also how the original version of the mod was made in mind being a new game in an existing world.

Wait, currently Overworld equipment works in the Aether? Bare with me, my knowledge upkeep here is years old, but isn't Overworld equipment supposed to borderline not work whatsoever up in the Aether? Armor being weak and brittle, tools being too weak to mine anything?
Well I mean wearing enchanted netherite armor means you are in the late game of Minecraft, so of couse it trivializes things.
it has the same protection as diamond, just less knockback. which yeah ig is a little useful for aether but not game breaking lol

Naturally its a perfect mod as always. It is basically a natural content extension of the vanilla game.

Best part about it being on 1.19 as well is the fact anything learned from vanilla data packs can directly be implied to the mod as well, opening the door for a far more expanded aether experience than what was ever possible in the past.

Saw this and went, aether legacy got updated cool, but then i saw it was the OG aether mod and I’m just…. Flabbergasted. That’s a what, decade and a half hiatus? I have cousins that were born during that hiatus that are old enough to be left home alone.
Loved the video @Noxus! Can't wait for the next video man! I was wondering if anyone in the Modding Community had a video about the Aether Mod and I'm glad you did. This is basically more or less Genshin Impact in Minecraft with how vibrant the Colors are and all the Mobs and Dungeons that are included. Although, I think there actually is a Genshin Impact mod for Minecraft, but it's not actually referred to as Genshin Impact due to Copyright.

Yes the aether will be updated to newer mc versions but no new contents. The "questionable” versions you talk about is probably the aether 2. The aether 2 was really unfinished for now.

Despite hatred over new textures after release 1.14 - the fact that Aether follows vanilla's style is actually good in this case, because Aether always felt like a light version of the overworld.
Oh and personally - Aether in its OG style (worldgen, dungeons etc) is by far the most preferable and just gorgeous af, keep it that way regardless of versions and the mod will live forever (!)

Its unfortunate that they chose to release it solely on 1.19.4 when the majority of other good mods have been stuck at 1.19.2. Hopefully they backport.

They will do a backport. But 1.19.4 is really recent, that’s why we not have a lot of mods right now.

Yeah its definitely better off as its own mod... it doesn't fit the vanilla style of minecraft, like a sun deity? Sure its cool, but its better fitted in a dungeon game, maybe minecraft dungeons.
It definitely would, but you’d have to make this feature compatible with every version from then on, make sure that it’s compatible, completely, with phones, tablets, laptops, PC’s, consoles, Windows, Mac, and Linuxes. Then you’d have to make sure players of a wide range of age demographics could easily digest all the strange new features of a dimension that they’ve never heard of, and then you’d have to make sure that it’s not a useless feature and that it’s essential to the game loop

The Deep Aether mod adds Stratus ingots (aether netherite) and can be made by mixing all aether ores with sterling cloud found at the highest layer of the clouds. Very cool!
There is no "strongest" thing in this dimension makes it more confusing, but u can do armor and tools combos

Isn't 1.19.2 almost the same as 1.19.4? Why can't there be mod loaders that don't break with every small update and force you to update the mod every time but instead work on most updates unless they're a big change?
@Gamer Mapper 1.19.4 is more different than 1.19.3 is from 1.19.2 and they alter certain things like libraries and methods of getting stuff to function which mods depend on, breaking certain mods with updates
@@gamermapper thats on mojang, they introduced breaking changes with 1.19.3 and 1.19.4 - which you normally shouldnt do but now we're here
@@shrektheogrelord6435 There are also a couple of forge changes made post 1.19.2 that the mod relies on, but they're still going to port it to 1.19.2 despite that.

Hello, noxus, was the replay mod used when shooting this video? If so, please tell us how you launched it together with aether, the closest thing I found is an unofficial fork for forge on version 1.19.2, which does not work on 1.19.4...

Just a question: How do you get replay mod to work with all of these modded textures? I heard that replay mod only works with vanilla textures, but it seems as if you have replay mod with modded textures. I really want to be able to use replay mod in my videos on BetterMC4, so if there is a way for me to do that, I would love to know how!

7:20 The “Hammer of Kingbdogzz” was originally the “Hammer of Notch” in the classic version of the Aether. Kinda sucks they changed it tbh, but the new name is also cool.
Notch is not woke enough
They should make it so that netherite armor/tools have the same stats as diamond in this dimension and vice versa for the special aether armor in the nether

my only gripe with the original aether is honestly just that some of the features from the scrapped aether ii genesis of the void arent in it
genesis of the void was the version of the mod i really fell in love with hard so its super weird not having green && purple aerclouds or other various things from it like the different altar
There will be an official addon for the original aether called ”genesis”, which will add (almost) all the content that was in genesis of the void, including green, purple clouds, ect.
@@lovique yknow after finding out from this comments section about the lost content addon and the deep aether addon; the idea of those plus genesis of the void content in modern day post 1.18 minecraft is so unbelievably hype; at least assuming they dont conflict with eachother
