The only things I learned in this video are that Japan's government helped fund Battle of Gods and that Toriyama forgot about Super Saiyan 2. iirc during a panel with the VO's of Dragon Ball Z, they had said the change from 8000 to 9000 was done because 9000 matched up with Vegeta's mouth movement.

The change from 8000 to 9000 was because they thought t dubbed better in English
Dende doesn't grow as fast as piccolo he grows slower he's still Small in dbs he berly grew at all since he came to earth during the cell saga

I thought it was explained that Namekians in the dragon clan(Dende) age slower the warriors(piccolo). I could be mistaken but hey it makes sense
Oh I never saw that video I started to suspect that but then I was like fuck it I think that someone said that there are there clans the dragon clan the demon clan and the demond clan. king Piccolo is part of the demon clan Wich allows him to lay eggs whit his form and he can even Chan there abilities and powers that's why in the original dragon Ball he was able to spawn all of his children in different forms his son piccolo Jr is also technically part of the Dragon clan and kami but for some reason they made him be part of the Dragon clan the reason because of this is because piccolo and kami are the same namekian because they separated there is a good on and a bad one king piccolo is pure evil and kami is obviously a good guy. Nail is part of the warrior clan when piccolo jr fused with him he became part of the warrior cand demand then he became whole he wold no longer die if kami did and when he fused with kami and now he is part of all three clans but since if he had made the dragon Balls he would not be able to fight enyone in battle or train because if he die the dragon balls wold disappear so that's why they got Dende to make the dragon balls because he's not much of a fighter

I know I saw the buu saga but here's the thing in GT Dende grew as tall as Gohan was after he trained inn the room of spirit and time other wise know as the hiperbolic time chamber during the cell saga and then in DBS Dende came back to the size of when he was in the cell saga but in kai they also make him grow bigger another cheater the made shorter was krillin by the then in DBS they have evry one yunger than DB GT but chi chi looks about the same videl ' s yung and so is mr saitan

One of the things I liked was when Vegetas brother was introduced, he finished Vegetas namesake. Vegeta & Tarbles to make Vegetables.
Must admit, that was the most surprising fact for me as well.

What surprised me the most was that Vegeta EVER called Goku "Goku." I thought he would never do that, seeing as how Kakarot is his born Saiyan name, something Vegeta considers very honorable. He makes a huge point that he hates calling Goku by his earth name.
It is actually pretty funny that Goku’s birth name was a pun for carrot since in Dragonball Goku admitted that he really didn’t like carrots. While I don’t think that it was what Akira intended when he had Goku say he disliked carrots, it is as an interesting reflection of the fact that it takes awhile for Goku to accept that he is a Saiyan and even then Vegeta is the only person he has become alright with using the name Kakarot, other than that hearing someone else use that name for him usually made him quite angry, but it helps that Vegeta actually became Goku’s most important ally in battle and a genuine friend to Goku no matter how much Vegeta tries to deny it.
How about the Saiyans were all named after vegetables.

I find it a risk that the Japanese voice actress of Goku is such a big icon in Japan, she is 80. What if she dies in a few weeks? Does Toei Animation get a new voice actor/actress or is it "That's it, Dragon Ball Super has no Goku voice actress anymore, we're closing it up after a few episodes"?
Since Goku is their main player, it's not easy to find a new suitable candidate in Toei's eyes, but I hope I am wrong.

One of my favorite is when they created the "fake supersayian" for lord slug because toriyama hadnt come up with the final design. So he told them that he had a gold flame and hair that stood up. And it was just a few weeks later that the true supersayian debut in the manga.

Yeah, I think it is longer. From the freeza saga to the android and cell saga was 3 years. Then to the buu saga was 7. He should have aged 10 years by now, and by namekian standards he should be a full grown adult

Actually Piccolo was the only Namekian to grow up that fast, and no one knows why. Look at Dende, he was a small child when we met him in the Namek Saga, fast forward to the Cell Saga when he becomes the new Kame, which I think was what, 7-8 years after the Namek saga, and he still looks the same age. And he's not a midget either, because when we see him again in the Sayaman saga, he looks older and taller

I always chalked Trunks and Goten not having tails to genetics.. For ex. A parent with brown eyes and a parent with blue eyes can have a chance for a child with blue eyes and a child with brown eyes. Looks like the boys take after their human parent rather than the saiyen parent on the "tail" situation. This has not been explained by the show, this was just my interpretation of this situation.👍

when Goku shows up to fight Freiza and tells them to leave, you can see Krillin fly's off, he's back in his master roshi's outfit and his saiyan uniform is gone.

If you do read this message, one thing I found interesting when I was younger was that Piccolo said he only needs to drink water to fill himself up and he doesn't need to eat food at all. But during his training you can see him eating a fish. Im curious to see if you respond back to me, thanks.

I saw in another video a guy explaining that the Freeza saga was meant to be the end of the series, so that's why that fight was so long.

Dragon ball Z was actually meant to be names “dragon ball 2” after the oringinal dragon ball series. But a typo occurred and it stayed dragon ball Z

I believe that "It's over 9000!" Was changed from 8000 because they wanted to make the Eng Dub fit with Vegeta's mouth so they didn't have to re-animate it from the Japanese dub.
The fact that Vegeta calls Goku "Goku" at ALL was surprising to me. But it's been a while since I watched DBZ.
The fact that surprised me the most was the fact that the video ended...
Not only does Vegeta almost never call Goku by his earth name he almost never calls anyone by name through DBZ. Gohan was usually called "Kakarot's son" or just "the child." The others were always called by species or planet of origin. It always made him kind of unique and I thought it was because of his status as a prince. As if he is above calling people by familial names unless they are full saiyan or linked to him directly like Bulma. Or maybe it was so he was always separate and apart from everyone else, never close enough to call them by name.
I wished he forgot about the pilaf gang. But Nameks aging quickly makes no sense because Dende was still a teen in the Buu arc. Maybe King Piccolo did something with the egg to make him grow up fast so that he can fight Goku soon.

i wanna point out somthin, the true reason why goku's name is never said by Vigeta is because well... the voice actors for Vigeta cant say his name without making it sound out of character, and the lot of em that have voice'd the prince have said that they just cant say goku's earth name without it sounding weird. its a true too.
If i remember right its because of nappas power level being 4500 they changed gokus. Basically vegeta screamed "hes more than double your strength, get out!"
the thing about "its over 9000" was actually over 8000 is not a stylistic thing. It's kinda a technical thing because the lip flaps in the Japanese show didn't line up with the English translation so they changed it.
