In today's video we do the SM 1 pull with a PALADIN! We pull SM Cath + SM Armory + SM Library all in 11 minutes! Paladins can pump out serious damage with consecrate, wrath of cenarius, and spell power gear leading to incredibly short runs. This is a fantastic gold farm and has some great potential for a TBC gold farm as well.

Same issue here. I get melted faster than I can melt the mobs with 270 base spell power. I am lacking all the two mitigation bits zg trinket and wrath ring though.

@arlaeus it’s good to note that in tbc ontop of all that prebis Paladins unlock a huge spell power boost for things like this in the form of destruction potions. They may not be needed but def speed up the kill phase!
It’s so fun and funny to see videos like these. Back in TBC retail I use to do this a ton on my Holy Pali but I never made videos of me farming instances, great times back then

Quick question, wouldnt the pre patch version of LIP rgive you its entire duration of no damage taken simply because it reduces melee damage taken by 120? Junst wondering if it would be itneresting to use as it would be active during 1/3 or half the tanking time of the kill phase.

I've been boosting my friends shamans in SM last few days and we're gotten over 110k xp/hr. You can pull the entire Lib also btw, including last boss. Since some lib mobs evade, i pull the entire part you did on the way in, with also pulling the side rooms and one side of the rooms before the last boss, and the rest on the way out, spamming consecration rank 1 on cd for them not to evade. Should be quite alot more xp then just pulling the first part
Any suggestions what to do if you don't surrvive the cath pull? I almost have the recommended gear, using force of will with zandalar and a SP back and neck instead of tanky ones.
I can do it np with 0/38/13, but wanted to try this since it was so much faster.
Also used Juicy Burgers for another 14 SP.
does your zandalari hero charm trick work the same way for a mage if they flamestrike then pop the charm?

What addon are you using that shows the damage/healing in the center?
I’m having an issue with the kill phase, I don’t self heal enough and take way too much dmg. I am lacking mitigation gear pieces. Will this make much of a difference?
Is this doable without Skullflame Shield? I am doing the pull perfectly and when the kill phase I get destroyed, I manage to get 3 concecrations out before dying and that includes bubble. The breastplate doesn't seem like it's enough. Wondering if it's worth investing in the shield which goes for 800ish gold on my server atm
If you want to do bosses in cath you can two pull it and hit lockout easy with cath/arm. The reason for two pull is using reckoning to burn down both bosses inside cathedral. At least that's what I have been doing. Letting boostees decide if they want boss loot from cath or lib mobs =). It doesn't need much gear either
With ZHC, the Eye of the Dead trinket, and Wrath of Cenarius, my consecrate was doing 201 damage per tick... absolute insanity for these pulls
I've been doing this as deep holy and I pull all of Library starting at the boss, annoying part is some of the mobs reset. Holy shock heals are so good now.

hey, I've watched a video showing a bug in tbc beta that the corpses is despawn in 2 minutes so that he can't loot all the loot.
my question is, is that indicating that it will be like that in the future of TBC?

With figurine, lichen guard and enough mitigation it will be possible to one pull stratholme skeletons side, it will take some time because packpedaling while having 100% hamstring uptime on you while bunch of mobs are going to hit your back is something to take seriously.
Are you going to be using the Petrified Lichen Guard for TBC when doing these?
you can switch shields : DoTs last 15s
When TBC out Figurine of the Colossus is gonna be the go to trinket free full heal pretty much
Soulforge Set is arguably more of a grind to get the Wrath of Cenarius and requires more grouped content, The few AQ20 spell power pieces is probably going to be easier to get than the Soulforge set imo. And the PVP gear is more of a guarantee if you're going to spell power plate.

@arlaeus How is Wrath of cenarius a 6 hour grind? Don't you need to be exalted with CC to get it, or did they remove that requirement from prepatch? I did it just recently and trust me its not 6 hours unless you have 1000's of gold to spend on rep items and random mats for logistics tasks

It's interesting to me how you use a different methode how I do it yet with the same principle idea behind it.
For example in Cat I don't pull any mobs but do kill the mobs in the starting coridor, then start by opening the door to the boss and pulling the boss first, then going back and gathering all the mobs the same way you did but in reverse from left to right, then I go into the kill phase on top of the waterfall in the left corner so they can't attack me in the back and if I mess up I can drop and heal if needed (very rare) often I just bubble when low health, concecrate, Hero charm and everything melts away, I kill leftover mobs and kill both whitemane and mograine (annoying rp event takes so damn long)
As for Arms, early on I did the same thing you did with not aggroing the mobs to start with the boss and pull back, however I found the fastest way to do arms is to pull the mobs from the start, then reach boss room, bubble, open the door and heal if needed, then go all the way back and pick up some of the leftover mobs if that's the case, arms is the most easy of them all, it's great, I charge 14g per run for both arms + cat.
Great video, also having 2 set tier 3 bonus gives 20 hp for judged of light on target, has lots of armor, mana regen, some SP, great to have in my opinion.
Hobbs figured out the perfect pull.

Yes, paladins can solo pretty everything but ubrs and lbrs, which they can solo but not boost without a geared healer and the know how
So where do you farm before you have the gold for all this expensive gear?
Mage boosting
You could add Dragon Breath Chili and/or Immolation elixir to this setup and add a lot of damage to your kill phase.
Reflect/thorns isn’t ever worth doing ever since TBC talents and coefficient changes.
what is the best profession for the pally?
I'm think about making one for lvl 70. Do you have a 70 gear guide?

it sure is. holy shield is not needed. but not having avenger's shield makes pulling a nightmare. may want to have a hunter with you.

You can also proc vengeance by any engineering and non engineering grenades
Edit: Engineering nades also work with blade of eternal darkness and regen your mana

Is this video made after the AoE cap or before?
I'm so confused. I got the same spec. Full t2.5, SFS and so on but I just die at the kill phase in cath. The only thing I'm lacking is the Demon Forged Breastplate. Is that really the difference or am I overlooking something?

If you spam sit when you are being hit it lets mobs crit you which triggers skullflame and sanc aura more

Is Skullflame and Demon Forge still needed when you're 70 and still planning to sell SM Boosts? Or Is SM boosts and any other boosts will be gone in TBC?
No, they become useless as the procs fall off at 70, hard.

@@Frey_64 you miss out on so much free lifesteal, I took the safe option and picked up the skull flame.
I’ve been doing these runs 2 pulling cath and 1 pulling arm in a little over 10min. I used to 1 pull cath but I’m not as geared as u and would die like once every 10 pulls and it only saved like 1min vs never dying 2 pulling it. I think I save time vs u just immediately pulling the beginning mobs in each dungeon and not trying to kill them

Yeah that sounded like bs but even worse than exalted is earning 60 cenarian badges and killing four dukes. How is that doable in 6 hours?

It's better to use superior wizard oil than brilliant, you get more sp but no spellcrit which u really dont need. They are also way cheaper.
This is extremely gear dependent, if you don’t have almost all of the gear this won’t work at all. I have the chest, shield, 5 pieces of Judgment and I can’t do this pull or kill phase with out dying
This is still going to be translated over to TBC but yeah, if you are going to use this for the Classic forever servers then you need to be on point with the gearing.
For TBC however, the main thing you would need is a trinket from shattered halls and the sporregar shield and rest of the gear can be basic dungeon tier gear. Pretty sure you can do this a lot of other ways aswell, just understanding how the stats work and what the mobs in the dungeon do is the key elements.
At 70 youll be able to do 32/29 getting 1/2 improved holy shield making it quicker and easier too

I'd like to see you farm this place as a poor/fresh 60 pally without all the specialty gear/pots/trinkets/enchants, as this will be how I will have to farm it to get the gold for all the special gear/pots/trinkets/enchants.
Demon forged breastplate is a must, skullflame shield is also pretty much needed, though with arms i once did it with shield from KT, there is a shield from EPL questline, think it's related to battle of darrowshire which is pretty good (stats change from classic in TBC) some instance gear, some SP gear and armor is good enough but without the hero charm might need to cut Cat run in two pieces, courtyard then boss room.
Fresh paladins will need to grind some gear but with the minimal armor pieces and a good shield you can get pretty far I think.

I don't have the ring yet as well and I do these runs all the time, it's great go for it.
I am wearing almost the same gear, 280sp. I've got t3 helm and different neck, cloak, ring & I don't have the scarab trinket.
Aaaaand I can't do it. I die. :'( I can do it in 2 pulls. But I can not do it in one pull.
same, I just do 2 pulls and skip lib, boosties don't seem to mind.
