In today's wow classic video we show how pallys can solo ZF GY at lv 42!!! This speed level / gold farm is absolutely incredible, just like the mage ZF GY solo. It's slightly slower, and slightly more expensive than mages but pallies can still get 150k experience per hour!! ZF GY solo leveling strategy can be done all the way from level 42-54 and once you hit lv 50 you can get 10 minute clears!! I hope this helps you speed level your pally through the mid 40s!

Fantastic video, thank you! Just did my first full clear on my level 42 paladin after only dying 2 times. On my server, the materials for thorium grenades are really expensive. I found out that using Hi-Explosive Bomb's worked perfectly and were much cheaper to craft. I also recommend stacking up on scrolls. They are usually really cheap!
I've been doing this a bit myself and have found that the trinket "chained essence of eranikus" that I got from a quest in sunken temple can be pretty useful.
I leveled both of my paladins through ZF this way - found it while healing a mage friend that was having issues with it. He died and I killed all of them from around 40% health and I was like I can solo this! lol

How did you start the pull without the bombs?
@@Miztiva Turn undead on the first mobs and rank 1 Exorcism on the ones that don't sometimes pull, so next to the boss or furthest away from the jumping spot. Also noticed that the faster you run and jump over for the first time the better your odds are of pulling everything.
Sidenote, I just hit level 50 only doing this and man is Holy Wrath amazing, gonna be 54 in no time!

@@benjabenja840 it was when AQ40 just opened on Ashbringer so mageweave was worth quite much because of sappers, but I wouldn't say even with that more than 200g. I did it 44-53 with one good blue (Blazing Emblem). Well worth it though. Also found a way to run there without any invis pots!
You can also do this on a shaman with a fire nova totem. It's a bit more tricky to time it right and you have to totem juggle with an earth bind totem to group them up but it works about as well as it does on a paladin.

Would using sappers be worth (if gold is not an issue) instead of grenades when you use BoP? Or is the stun too important?

1 tip how to stack the mobs once you pull then and they're all there keep jumping from side to side the mobs will slowly start to stack up on each other though you have to be careful not to get them right under you when you keep jumping from the sides otherwise they will hit you from below.
This works everysingle time they're unstacked
1 problem you can mess up the jump and fall down so you need to practice the jump first
You've had the idea at 14:20 but I'm talking about the ledge you jump at to get to the other side
If you dont interact with a mob for 20s you get less XP? How does that work with humanoid runners? If I let him leave and run back to me he's worth no exp?

Can you double check the 20% non combat XP loss thing? I'm sure I left them way longer on my shaman and got the full amount
would dropping a target bot before you jump off the ledge to reset to just stutter them would that work?

You make this look so easy. I've tried this half a dozen times and have only even gotten to GY alive once.
@Arleus is it possible to do it without spirit gear? Since this farm costs alot of gold to even starting to farm it.
it's possible, but i would recommend it!
I leveled in dungeons from 30-40 and acquired decent int/spirit gear. Other items I sniped from specific quests and ended up only paying about 10g on AH for gear.
I've tried this countless times and only pulled it off maybe like 6 or so, every time I get them to like 15%-25% hp I fall off the wall into the centre and it just so happens to be on the side you can't get back up on because mobs will just run to you and wail you in one hit 10/10 would spend 15-20mins running around just to do die and spend another 10mins running back from spirit runs and getting through the instance again. Don't get me wrong its a great exp/gold trick but you gotta be perfect every run for it to be worth your time and sanity.
As a mage this is literally 50x easier haha. Went from 42-49 so fast.
Does spirit regen mana in combat? Or do u need mp5 gear?.
Where would you position an alt, if boosting?. And could a druid or rogue alt stay stealthed inside the entrance? Great video, thx for posting.
A little late here but ok, maybe you already have the answer but a lot of ppl are leveling alt for tbc, I think the reset position, the rock skull
I'm curious to see how this strat holds up in TBC. It's nice getting concecration baseline so it makes the "ballsy" sanctity aura build more viable. Not really much different though for the normal build since you're wanting to get Improved Blessing of Wisdom anyways.
the xp is so much lower. in the videos people are getting 800 or so xp per kill, in the real game, im only getting 200-300 max at level 42

Have you ever tried a duo pally run? One with sanctity and the other with prot? Interested in trying duo pally to level in BC
Mage Dudu in ZF is nice , with Innervation/hurrican + blizzards is nice comb to do it with a mate , also when u die once the dudu can revive you all 30 min xd
OK, at 40 is really difficult to get past the pulls. I use an invisibility pot to get to the first reset spot, but now if I am dismounted, I cannot use swiftness potion because it is on CD.
does this still work? i it gets to a point where im just not doing dmg to them any more or maybe they regen? i dont know but rank 1 con is not dropping their health
Well duh, you should be using rank 3.

It gets easier. Conc is a core spells. Better pursuit of justice. General better optimization.
You need to consider: cost and time to get the consumables, to level your defense, your enchantments, to learn how to get past the patrols, and do the pull efficiently. So far for me: 6 hours of buying my gear, materials, looking for enchanters, and making the consumables, 40 min of trying to get to the first reset spot, 30 min of being in RFC leveling defense. Total gold invested: around 500g. That would be 14 Mara runs and I think 7 levels in about the same time if I had stayed with the same booster guy I had from 34 to 40.

Use the alt reset trick
Have someone invite your alt and your main to a group, log onto your alt, wait 2 minutes, reset with your alt
I can't believe how quick this is. It's like one hour per level! It's actually sad I'm only finding out about this now xD

Not really. There is the aoe Nerf live. Dmg will max Hit 10 Mobs, by more Mobs, the cons.dmg will Fall hard
@@MrWickup Consecrate is not affected by the AoE cap - hence why Prot Palas are the best farming class in TBC

Potentially SM, but there would be a lot of set up and it would take a long time.
got it after 30 tries. lvl 41, no invis pots, no engi. kill phase took like 20mins.

Yes! But the kills take a while. I'm at level 46 now and my complete run takes around 20 mins without engineering.

I try this with my paladin 42 and success this 2 times for now, but, i only get like 200xp per mobs... with my mage i leveled up from 42 to 54 like this, and i remember that at lvl 42 the mobs give me about 1000xp... does any one get the same issue ?? :(

You could also up your dps a bit when u r in bubble with retri aura (you don't care about armor since you are immune to hits)...some ticks could help you out a bit... Try it!
Unfortunately it didn’t look like text aura worked while in bubble when I tried it out early on. Good idea though!

I've been doing this a bit without engineering, I used the level 30 EZ thro dynamite. at level 40 without engineering this took 40 mins to do. not worth it. I came back at level 50 with holy wrath and I'm clearing it in about 15 mins.
alright I'm going to try this tonight. I'll update with an edit at a later date wish me luck!
did it work good? at which lvl did you start doing it? and which level did you stop doing it? do you absolutely NEED engineering? or is it not 100% required, like, you dont need those bombs but without them u get 90% of the mobs at least, kind of the same result.
@@thomaskunz3089 sadly I could but get that many mobs without a grenade. I had decent gear but was abke to pull it off ( pulled 15+ times ). Please hear me out I've never done it on a mage so that was my first go at it. It's totally doable but consumes and grenades are next to nessisaty

Are you sure about the spirit part? Spirit increases health/mana regen when out of combat. AFAIK the pally does not have a talent that allows a percentage of out-of-combat mana regen to continue while fighting.
doesnt matter if you are in combat or not. Its all based on the "5 second rule". Dont cast spell for 5 sec, then you start to regen mana

Major mana pots are dropping like a stone, I might load up on them if they hit like 50s. I’ve seen them as low as 60s

You can definitely do it! Unfortunately it may take a bit because you’ll be killing each mob individually probably
You can actually 1 pull them with RoF at around the same speed as a pala clear. It requires a LIP to gather the mobs though :)

This is really neat. But I honestly don't get how people prefer doing this to doing dungeons normally with other players. If I wanted to do something like this I would just play single player diablo. I have way more fun hanging out with other players and working together and for sure don't mind it taking the leveling processes a little longer.
